[Plz Help] I installed the latest pacman rom on my Neo V and have the following problems.....
1.It is not showing the owner info on lock screen.
2.It is not connecting to data(gprs) properly.
3.Home button does not connects/answers a call
For ur first and third problem u have to go to settings nd security nd check display owner info on screen nd enter ur desired sentence/word. For third problem also in developers option or in settings u hav to check power button end calls. The second problem u can call for gprs settings again and reinstall and reboot. That mite solve the second prob.

The 2nd and 3rd problem is solved but the owner info is not displayed even after checking/ticking the options in menu in the security menu........
Did u keep a suitable note? Coz default one is empty

hello everyone i want to change my dxlc1 stock rom settings to ics style settings, i have a question, why cant i change my settings permission it always says cannot be deleted because it is a read only file? can somebody help me?

change from r/o to r/w (press)
It Only work in Deodexed Roms.

did you do a long press on this, select permissions. I also tried to change my settings but my settings also disappeared and I used a ROM that already had it. I sorted this out on Creeds Rom also some way or another!!!.
Ask "Kurutsoigi" or "chahmatt" for more help!!
See the 'Mount R/W' button at the top? Press that and it'll work

Help guys
Whenever i try to access my contacts it says infinite view has stopped and even in phone there are only three Keys visible i.e *0# . But they are all visible in horizontal mode
Please help!!
Note: i am on official Ics rom and please don't say to downgrade

Hi ... I am having the same problem in my SXS (ICS). Did you find any solutions ?
I have realics lite rom with mesa 1.8 kernel ...i partitioned my sd to ext4 ..
whenever i link apps to my sd card ..it shows android upgrading on boot ..
really frustrating
anybody help?
My opinion you should use ext 2 for link your application..

That is normal to have 'android is upgrading' message. Doesn't matter if using ext1234. That message usually appears after turning off, not reboot, or after install n flash some apps.

Are you sure its normal ? cz i dont have this issue on gb ....i really dont like it processing all my apps before starting

Download an app from the market named DroidSail Super App2sd.... Hope this will remove all your frustration...

well it moves all apps to my fat partition on sd..not the ext2 partition
Oh please, this is ICS not GB. If u don't like to see it, just go back to GB.

Hi All
First Of All I Yesterday flashed a AOKP ROM For LB (Locked Bootloaders)
First it was stuck in bootloop ..
but then suddenly It stopped with the boot animation ... just a sony logo ((
I Can do the cold reboot (Power + Volume+) untill it vibrets
i cant access cwm (
Any help ?!
Bootloader = Locked
Just open flashtool
Press thunder icon
Select ftf
And press flash
Flashtool will ask u to connect ur device now
( keep ur device switched off)
Now press volume Down button and hold it while attaching to usb
Flashing will start

Press Power+Vloume UP keys and wait the first vibration vibrate then another 3 vibration will vibrate again...Now your phone is shutting down!!!

So yea I've rooted my Xperia Neo and want to install a custom ROM but I cant enter recovery,
I've tried:
- Quick Boot (Via playstore)
- ROM Manager
- Tried all the button-pressing combinations
- ADB + SDK
But nothing works... and I'm at my wits' end... :crying::crying::crying:
Did you try reading the stickies..
There is no default recovery on stock, flash a custom kernel or install cwm yourself, the how to for both is in the stickies

Try X parts from play store! Select your device!
Install cwm.... Voila you enter
Recovery mode!
Flash Roms and enjoy!

well if you have installed cwm correctly restart your device and when the sony logo come uu.if u have installed correctly you will notice the screen get brighter for 2 sec aprox. when it gets bright press all 3 buttons and hold and it should go in to cwm.

I've tried X-parts and it doesnt bring me to recovery.
I've checked with Root Checker and it verifies that my device is Rooted properly.

I'm not sure if I've unlocked the bootloader, I tried unlocking it via the steps in the sony ericsson help website and when I use SDK cmd it doesnt recognize 'bootloader.exe' or 'bootloader' or 'fastboot' as a command.
When you say all 3 buttons, which buttons do you specifically mean? - power, vol +, vol -?
BTW, just as a reminder, my phone is Rooted with SU and Rom Manager installed.
I've googled for hours and reading threads - but it's still super difficult for me.
I tried SDK, and it went as far as recognizing my device in fastboot mode.

Try CWM installation guide given in the above thread....its a command script... after u extract the zip ..read the instructions carefully..
After installation reboot and keep pressing the volume button down to enter recovery.... this method always works for me..

it is worth noting that my bootloader is still LOCKED (ASSUMINGLY - because I havent unlocked it), AND ALSO that my phone is rooted, I only need to go to recovery.
Question:
Can I still flash/boot custom ROM WITH the BOOTLOADER LOCKED?
if u have installed cwm correcly do as i said. the buttons are back,home,menu buttons. but this is only if u have stock rom and kernel, if u hace custom kenel then it is volume down lots of time until it boots cwm

I'd use the thanks button when I deem it fit.
Because my problems not solved yet, I can't install the ADB drvers. and my laptop detects my phone as it's name , not as 'other device'.
So I can't install the ADB files hence nothing works.
When u tried xParts..did it say Instal Complete??
Did u try the Alternate CWM in xParts??

I tried every method that I know, even ADB but all to no avail - either no end product or stuck halfway...
This is really stressing me out
if it recognizes as xperia neo v that because its on mtp mode not msc

try this!!
-make sure phone is in usb debbuging
-activate unknown sources
- go to this page and download cwm for stock rom

- download and extract
-doble click on cwm1 wich is for neo v
-follow instuctions on screen
-once installed restart and press the button i said!!

For 5.5.0.4..u need to keep taping the screen when u see the Sony logo nd blue led..
For 5.0.2.7..keep pressing volume down..
Check if chargermon and recovery.tar are in system/bin
and sh in system/xbin..

2) I tried moving those files mentioned but it says it's only 'read only' and I have no idea how to change it to read and write.

Did you try using root explorer?in it,there's an option on top right to change it to read and write instead of Read only!
Try that,maybe that could help!
