Ok, I can't enter twrp recovery using hikari no tenshi's xtended rom. But the rom boots normally. When I press the vol-down button, just stuck at twrp screen. Any advice?

Press power button instead of volume down button. If it doesn't work reflash the kernel via fastboot or another compatible one.

Phone is unlocked, that only puts it into fastboot...?
Oh... hitting volume down multiple times does it.
When it says "fastboot" keep pushing the down button until you see "android recovery" and then push up.

I have PhilZ-Touch Recovery installed - I have to hold down Volume UP and then Power, boots into recovery just fine that way.

With my Atrix HD, it's Vol UP + Power; I have PhilZ Touch Recovery installed

What version of Philz Touch do you have for Atrix 4G?
AHD does not boot to recovery the same as A4G. We need to power + vol down, then scroll to recovery, press vol up to enter into recovery.

Just clarifying: I have the Atrix HD MB886 - definitely on mine with PhilZ Touch 6 (and it says recovery 6.0.4.7) , it's Volume Up + Power.

I paid for the premium version of Clockwork mod, I just rooted and unlocked the bootloader on my phone and I was curious on how I get my phone to boot into clockwork recovery mode. I tried holding volume down, home button and power button at the same time but that goes into downloading mode.
That's because it's volume up for recovery

it is possible that the app didn't automatically set up CWM boot ...
open rom manager
tap on Flash CWM Recovery
wait for the flash to complete...
test it by rebooting from the rom manager app.

It is possible, but holding the wrong buttons like the op was will result in not getting into cwm 100% of the time.

Continuously pressing volume down key will take you to cwm recovery menu.
If not so
Open flashtool , switch off phone then connect phone to pc in fastboot mode, flash other kernel .
Try pressing the power button instead of the volume key

What power button will do in startup if not having dual boot
Read the haven droid thread...he clearly says not to install lupus v6 don't bother with unified kernel also....there is a link to a custom kernel on the thread, or mesa v4.4 should work fine

Hi all,
I install [CM7.2] HomICS 2.0 Venus for my HTC Legend and it work well. I also intall CWM 5.0.2 but it does not work in booting mode.
Now, my phone getting stuck in start screen ( Android Icon ), I want to load custom rom but I can not use Rom Manager because I can not enter the OS. In booting mode CWM does not work to load rom from SD card, I can not chose any options in there ( when chose an option by press Power button and nothing happen).
What should I do to install a new rom?
Thanks!
In CWM recovery after loading update.zip, use trackball for navigation and selecting. Powerbutton is just for menu level back.

Thanks, but trackball does not work.
Maybe try to find touch recovery ??
I don't remember there ever being a touch recovery for legend.

Volume up and down works to navigate, but you still have to press the trackball to select a menu item. No trackball, no CWM I guess...
You could try using ADB to get things done, like flashing CWM and ROM.
