HI,
Having searched the threads i seem to arrive at no help!!! My neo (MT15 early model) was recently updated using the software from the official site but my phone will only show the screen briefly then go blank BUT the backlight remains on. i can still receive messages and calls but cant see them unless i take the battery off then turn on again. even then it takes 3 or 4 attempts.
Any help or direction would be appreciated
Thanks
If your phone is rooted, try using chainfire 3D, but before that make a NANDROID backup.
Also this app does not work on jelly bean (it will brick your phone) so if you're using JB, don't use the app.

how can i factory reset my phone? i've tried linking it to the pc but cant find anywhere that does it!!!
Marf pointed out something good,
Right now forget about what I said and go to "settings > privacy" and hit "factory reset". But before that make a backup of your contacts with "NQ Mobile Security" cause they will be removed.
Hope it works, cause if not you gonna have to become expert

Have you tried to clear the data from the camera app?
Go to Settings> Applications> Manage Applications> All> Camera and clear the app data and see if that helps.

Hi, If you did A clean install wich means U did all the wipe of every thing from CWM, and as you said you even installed stock rom, then always facing problem.
I'm afraid your have a hardware failure my freind. somebody must have fallen it down by accident. Unless you bought it like that.
Here's one other thing to do :
Serach for a freind who has the same phone well worked, do a backup from recovery CWM, copy the backup file frome his phone to yours, then do a restore from cwm recovery mode. If it works, then it's Ok, if not, It might be a hardware failure.
I really hope your phone is fine
Good luck.

Good Luck.
just download the original apk and install i had the same problem
By chance are you using Siyah kernel 3.1rc6 That kernel has a problem that causes the camera to fail if you are do nothing except upgrade the kernel under no circumstances wipe ANY data since if you are on that kernel you can destroy the internal memory with a wipe that can't be fixed and needs a motherboard replacement.
If when you open the camera a popup says that the camera has failed I would check immediatly if you are on said kernel.
Edit: sorry I didn't notice someone bumped such a old post that couldn't have this problem since it is before its time.
i'm having this same issue. i found that it must be a bad flex cable or connector inside the phone. if i tap hard right under the camera i can get it to fail or not fail without resetting anything in the camera app. thought it was software at first too.
have not opened the phone yet but i figure its either cold solders on the connector or loose connecotor or both. if you throw a piece of tape there inside the phone to press on it then it should fix it.

I am also having this message ever since I use a self modded systemui based off modded apk,
If you google around, you will find lot of information about this, I have tried all of them and none work for me lol. Some say it is normal some say it isn't. I guess it is normal for first boot when we done something or wipe caches but for every reboot, I don't think so. The phone still work the way it is though, guess have to ignore it till someone knows how to fix it?
I use a self modded framework in my P it says a huge amount of sms r being sent while booting in home screen after every reeboot..i just ignore it.

It's a simple authentication of installed apps. Happens on first time you flash stuffs/install fw/upgrade os/clear cache partition/clear dalvik cache/format system.

Hey everyone,
I have a unlocked O2 phone it seems, on Monday I tried rom'ing it to Jelly bean.. I found a decent rom from the Internet and went ahead with the firmware update. The firmware turned out to be the most basic of basic jelly bean builds... I couldn't even sign in with my Google account...? So I wanted to restore it.
I found another rom and rooted it first etc but after this one installed it kept looking the Samsung start up logo.. Looked up the symptoms and it seems a mild form of bricked. So I went into recover mode and did a data wipe and restore.
When it restored it booted up and now I had jelly beans with all my old settings and it even started to download my apps etc. Great I thought just what I wanted but I have no idea how it's done this.
Anyways... Been playing on it for about an hour now and it seems dead slow. I've cleared the cache and cleared all recent apps and I'm running at 86% ram capacity it seems. Is this normal when no apps are open? Opening my contacts seems to take a good second or two to open. It never did this on ics.
Any ideas anyone? I've attached a screen shot for illustration.
Thank you in advance.

That's what happens when we don't do FULL wipe. Search megawipe and use before flashing roms.

No.
Do not use megawipe, superwipe or bullish*t-stupidwipe.
They are not necessary, juts wipe cache, dalvik and system before flashing a ROM.
That is all.
@OP
Get rid of that damn monitoring app, don't use task killers or any other pointless apps.

Back up just using the feature in the recovery mode or use something like titanium back up?

I've restored it back to standard firmware on jelly bean but it's still saying I'm using 687 / 833 ram. Is this normal? What do others on here have for there ram availability?

My phone shows 684/833MB RAM but it is very smooth. I let Android do the memory management in my phone. Don't bother myself with shutting down any apps or getting more 'Juice' out of my phone.
Running LJ4 version.
What Rom are you using (version)?

YEs, it is normal.
The motto with Android is that "unused RAM is wasted RAM"
The way Android manages RAM has nothing to do with how we are used to see RAM with PCs, since PCs don't cache apps that are not running.
In Android, the apps are cached so they are easier to access the next time you need them. This is specially useful for apps like Contacts, Dialer, etc. Remember that everything in Android is an application.
My phone yesterday had only 80Mb free and yet it was quite snappy, very responsive.
So, in short forget about RAM in Android devices. We gotta get rid of the old paradigm of how RAM works in a tradicional PC.
I want something that feels a bit quicker, can anyone recommend a nice rom that's like stock but lighter? My current model shown below...

I have the same symptoms with stock JB. I updated my G3 via Kies. Any ideas how to speed it up without wiping everything?
You can try Foxhound Rom Essentials Version which has a lot of things removed that aren't needed (Like S Voice, Samsung Apps, Bloatware etc). There's also Hyper Light rom (I think). Have a look in the rom section and look for roms that mention the word light.
I've got a awesome rom installed now... No Samsung crap.
Thanks for all the help peeps.

try factory reset my friend
Hi all,
The wifi on my phone Samsung Galaxy Chat will not turn on all of a sudden. Same is the issue with Bluetooth.
The wifi button in the drop down screen is kind of greyed out and when settings is opened the [off-on] is greyed out. In wifi settings it just says "turning on...".
All firmware up to date. Phone isnt damaged or dropped.
I have restarted the phone many times and also performed factory reset twice and cleared the cache too.
Please help.
Thanks in advance.

What cache did you cleared?
