[Q] [HELP] Boot loop live with walkman - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

So, I flashed original .58 rom in order to root my LWW, after that, I rooted it and then I tried to install cwm. I used se extreme tweak 1.8 , it finished installation and rebooted my phone and now it goes to boot loop, after boot animation it restarts and does that again. And also the LED blinks white after the bootanimation..
PLEASE HELPPPP

Rooting or installing recovery normally doesn't cause bootloop...is there anything else you did and if ur bl is locked just repair it using pc companion and then root it using kernel trick and install recovery from x-parts....the other solution I can give you is unlock your bootloader, and install a custom stock .58 based kernel(like rage) which has inbuilt recovery and start your phone....
Press THANKS if I helped,
Regards,
AJ

I have bootloader unlock no, so I cant unlock the bootloader. I tried xparts and it succesfully installed the recovery but when I reboot to recovery it simply boots normally and blue led flashes. Do you know what the problem is?

When you boot your phone as soon as the screen gets brighter or led shines just press vol-down button for some time

It didnt work, it boots normally. Even in xparts, I press reboot in recovery, and it boots normally.. and recovery is already installed . what can I do

Keep pressing the Power button( on/off).
Hit THANKS if i helped.
when nothing goes right...
go left.

I didnt unterstand. So, its turned off, what do I press to enter recovery?
And yes, my phone is rooted

When Sony Ericsson/Sony logo shows up,keep pressing( not holding down) the on/off button till the recovery.
Works for me.

If your mobile is accepting fastboot then the kernel trick will work
I think you might have unlocked the bootloader then it's better to flash custom kernel I think rage kernel is ideal for any firmware. Custom kernel flashing is the easiest and safest way to root.
It is the most safest method just insert your cable using this kernel

KA09 Xperia SSpeed - bootloop

Since I'm not able yet to post into the development forums:
I have decided to finally mod my Xperia S as well (did that only with HTC's before), and after unlocking the bootloader and slap Advanced Stock Kernel on it, i wanted to flash KA09 Xperia SSpeed. At first it all went well, no errors during installation but then i wanted to reboot, and the phone went into a permanent bootloop. There's the Sony startup screen with the Advanced Stock Kernel writing underneath, the blue LED flashes shortly, the phone vibrates, then it starts all over again.
I have tried SEUS but to no avail, since the phone will always restart, hence disconnecting to the PC. I also can't boot the phone into fastboot or recovery, or anything for that matter.

hold the power button + volume up then wait till it vibrates 3 times, your phone will power off. then you can use the SEUS, i think its via fastmode (power+volume down) to reflash or u can use flashtool to reflash ur firmware.
this is what i did when im stock on bootloop before (because i dont have back ups).
1. installed flashtool
2. download ftf
3. paste the ftf on c:\firmwares\
4. open flashtool then click the lighting icon, choose fastmode, choose ftf and wait until it says (power off phone then connect via fastmode), since your phone is power off all u need to do is to connect the phone and then hold the power button+ volume down.
5. then it will reinstall your firmware.
6. after reinstalled, flash advanced stock kernel.
7. then make back up of your rom so you dont need to reflash your firmware in case of bootloop.
now that was a quick reply, thank you very much. will try this and will post how it went!
Same problem

I was flashing ka xperia kernel (via recovery) over Advanced stock kernel and got this weird bootloop.
Sometimes i couldnt even start the freaking phone. So what i did was when the phone finally started and the botloop started i long pressed Vol Up and powerbutton for about 5sec (after the phone vibrates three times) so it would shut down, since i could not enter fastboot while it was bootlooping. Then held Vol Up (not Vol Down) while plugging in usb, only then i got to enter fastboot.
Then i only reflashed advance stock kernel (ics9.elf) and it finally booted back.
Might be helpful

Use fastboot and try flashing Advance stock kernel forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1729280 and see if its booting

When you go from STOCK STOCK you should first prepare by doing a backup and then erasing everything before even trying to install a custom ROM or another kernel.
When you install a kernel that has recovery, before trying to install the custom ROM be sure to wipe data/factory reset and then wipe dalvik cache and fix permissions.
Then you can install the custom ROM and after that be sure to also install the patched KA09 zip.
And even after that, remember, that is a development ROM not completely stable at all.

how are you trying to get into CWM? Power off completely, then hold the Vol's up and down button and power button...til you see the sammy logo then release the power button while still holding the volume button til CWM appears...
I am rooted and i have cwm installed and running ics on it. And i tried to boot into recovery with vol up and power.

Okay ....hold both the volume up "and " volume down ..."and " power .....all together ...but you must start from a powered off condition ,and you must push the volume buttons first ...then the power button ....
Hold until you get a single vibration ...then release the power button .
The phone will then show the Sammy logo and then recovery ...
You can release the volume buttons "after " you see the recovery screen ......g

CWM installed but stock recovery appears
I install CWM recovery via Odin and it was successful. But when I try to boot up my phone to cwm, it boots in to my stock 3e recovery. please help . I'm running on Jelly Bean 4.1.2.
Since you are rooted, use the Quick Boot app to go to recovery from your home screen. Much easier than doing the vol up + vol down + power button thing.

[Q] Volume down button not working for CWM entry but works normally

Hi Folks,
I have a stock .587 firmware with locked BL.
I have done some tweaks on it listed below:
- New adreno libs.
- Walkman port V6 by ThilinaC
- removed bloatwares manually and freezed some others.
- JB SystemUI changes by ThilinaC
- adrenaline boost, etc.
I was learning on decompiling and recompiling the apk's. So I picked up the simplest one. i.e. enabling on screen buttons in framework-res.apk.
I made change into in one of the xml and I successfully rebuilt the apk. and flashed it using root explorer. But it gave bootloops.
I tried starting CWM recovery using volume down button at the Sony logo as usual. But it didnt start. I tried so many things like connecting to USB and restarting the phone at that time to start recovery by same pressing volume down button method.
But it didnt work still.
Since I was not able to go into recovery, and since my nand backup was some days old and had some data which was needed.
I flashed only system partition from the .587 ftf. using flashtool and rooted the phone again using normal procedure.
I thought the volume down button will work for recovery but it is still not working. (The button works normally when phone is on i.e for volume down process.)
Please help me what can be done.
P.S.: As of now I can go into recovery using x-parts or any other tool like titanium. But only manual recovery entry is not working.
So it means, I wont be able to go into recovery if I get bootloops again. And I am afraid to change/port anything on my phone now.
try the back button instead of the volume down button

back button also didnt work.. Thanks for your reply anyways....
To add to my point....when I repeatedly press volume down/back button, the LED turns blue,,,but as per my observation, previously it used to stay till recovery starts, but now it turns on for 4-5 seconds and then goes off, and then the Experia bootanim shows up.
Is it like the exploit which activates recovery at boot time is damaged?(just a guess)..If maybe yes..how can I solve it?
Try to install recovery again via flashtool.

Thanks Madfysh...tapping on the screen worked... :good: so happy...
I had tried every button.. Didnt think of screen though...
Initially, I had installed CWM thru DoomLoRD's rooting toolkit. Then I had installed x-parts by pvyParts. There it said a new CWM version was available(v5.5). So I had upgraded that.
Was it the upgrade that had this change?

There is one version floating around which is using tapping on screen to enter in recovery, so since for you, back and volume- didn't work. Tap on screen was only option left, having in mind that you said that you can enter recovery using xparts, meaning that your recovery is installed ok.
p.s. I doubt you used doomlord's root toolkit to install CWM

[Q] X10 stuck on boot screen after Fera Custom ROM installed !!!

Hello experts , I did a first attempt at installing a custom ROM (Ferra Jelly Bean for Xperia X10) and everything went smooth, (my device was rooted and bootloader unlocked and Xrecovery installed) but for the first boot, only SONY ERICSSON appears and even if I remove and insert only the battery (and dont even touch the power button) the boot screen appears and just stays that way with the SONY ERICSSON name.
Is it all dead or do I have some hope of reviving it? if yes then can you please help me?
