The title pretty much explains it all, while I'm on a call with my earphones the phone screen wakes up while in my pocket and I usually press the silent button (with my leg I guess) or the speaker, it's really annoying and I want to know if there's any way to stop this.
Thanks in advance.

My screen is locked with a pattern, would it make a difference?
In case someone has the same problem the only solution that I've found so far is when the call is on press the home button so it gets "minimized" to the taskbar and then lock your phone, so that if it gets unlocked accidentally you won't press anything by mistake in the call window.
I think a solution would be that even if you answer a call with the phone in your pocket, which was locked before the call, the next time that you unlock it the call window isn't the first thing that appears, I'm still open to suggestions, thanks.

i guess, u should help yourself. you must remember to end an active call. I mean, thats something, at least i will not forget.
and when you are not using your device, make sure the screen is locked. this would prevent the accidental touches. you can also setup a password/pattern lock for your screen from settings --> location and security.
My mom has a problem where her cheek pushes buttons while shes on a phone call. Is there a lock app she can install? does the droid2 have a prox sensor?
The d2 has a sensor. Screen should black out to prevent this during calls. Has there been any apps or themes installed on the phone that may affect how the screen functions. A program that keeps your screen on under certain conditions may be keeping it on now. Just a guess, don't know anything about your phone or what's on it.
Widgetlocker is a great customizable lock screen replacement app. There is an option in settings to show during call. If then she needed the dialer during a call, would just have to swipe to unlock. There may be a better answer, holding the phone very still for example, but I really like this app.

I have that problem every now and then. When I get into a call I just press the lock button on top of the phone so the screen goes black, press the lock button again to light the screen back up, and then press the back arrow. That will leave you with the lock screen and no buttons to press unless you slide to unlock.
I would go to menu>settings>accesibiltiy and uncheck power button end call first or you'll hang up though.

I never had to do that? Lol. Could this be already set up in some ROMs?
When im at work I keep my phone in my pocket. When it rings the screen turns on and sometimes I have gone in to get the phone and accidentally ended/refused the call in the process....is there a way I can keep the screen off when the phone starts ringing...then come one once I touch the screen or press a button?

Can someone on JB 4.3 confirm if the screen locks by pressing the power button during a phone call ?
I'm guessing we are all on L....
there is a setting in assistance that can use power button to end call. so it depends on that setting on or off
With the setting off because if its on it would end the calls
The reason I'm asking is because my phone calls get discocenected accidentally when I put my phone in my pocket while using a Bluetooth. Since the phone doesn't lock when I press the power button, the proximity sensor turns the screen on while in my pcoket and the end button gets pressed accidentally.
I remember "not" having this problem on JB

Yes, the screen turns off, but the call is still there.
But does it lock? Do you have to swipe to unlock it?

No, just press the power button again, the screen turns back on, and the call screen is still there. Repeat cycle.

I have actually two sort of related problems.
First is that, when call comes in, even though this thing is really to big too hold up to your ear, the call doesn't automatically default to SPEAKER. There is a button that needs to be touch AFTER the call is answered to put it into speaker mode.
The second issue is that, as soon as you answer the call, a lock screen requiring a double tap to open comes on keeping you from getting to the speaker button. In another place I read that this lock screen in intended to keep you from inadvertently dialing or hanging up and such when holding the phone to the ear.
This lock screen has about a one second timer on it so getting to the button is very tricky.
This lock screen makes it all but impossible to be on a call and set up a second call to make a three way. I don't do this very often so it isn't that big a deal.
The ideal solution for me would be to get the device to default to speaker phone on every call.
The secondary solution would be to disable that lock screen so I could immediately hit the speaker phone button as soon as I answer the call rather than have to answer the call, double tap to unlock, and scramble to hit the speaker phone button before it locked again.
Since I have already tried and failed to be able to get in to change the SMS limit, solutions that require the same kinds of actions probably are no good.
I a wondering if there is a replacement Dialer/Phone/Contacts APP that might solve the problem??
