Search for Check Fus and download it, download your firmware with it and flash it via Odin. ;-)

When you download your firmware you get a rar file, inside is a .md5.tar
Just extract it and place it in the PDA section of Odin and flash.

Hey guys i have an issue. First off i have an unrooted GS3 on T-Mobile. I downloaded this http://www.sammobile.com/2012/08/25...-1-1-jelly-bean-test-ota-update/#comment-6605 which is a 4.1.1 pre release or whatever. Its cool but some apps dont work properly and force close a lot so my question is how can i go back to ICS or am i stuck with this now?(i know i can root but im really not looking to do that as of now) Also if im stuck with this will i receive the OTA from T-Mobile when they release the official update? I would appreciate some feedback please!!
1. Wrong forum.
2. Flash stock ICS firmware through Odin.
3. No you won't get an OTA from that firmware

You will need to find a stock firmware for T-Mobile on samfirmware.com or wherever (probably in the T-Mobile forum too)
Put the file in the PDA section in Odin and put your phone in download mode and connect it to the PC and hit start.
Yes you will get the OTA if you are not rooted and don't have a custom recovery.
N.B. make sure it is the correct firmware for your version, the US version, if you flash international firmware you will brick your phone. Search for firmware for "t999" there are two firmwares available there. I just checked but I can't link the page.

try using checkfus downloader and enter the info of your phone to download the required official firmware.
btw I feel this should have been asked in the Q&A section.

Yes I found that, tho its not actually telstra branded the latest is 1 file the others arnt branded either, I need to put phone back to stock for warranty.
Why wouldn't it be branded?
It's just a one file firmware.

Got beaten to it, but all stock firmware are one file, just unzip them, open Odin, add the .tar.md5 to PDA, boot to download mode, connect the phone to your PC and click start, don't click anything else.
And please don't post questions in General
i used a custom rom without making backup of stock rom, and really need to return to it.
i can only do it by getting my csc and pda to download the firmware, but i cant seem to get it by dialing *#1234*
what to do? any other possible solution?
