I haven't downloaded anything recently, I literally just picked up my phone after I woke up and I got a message saying "the application tasks provider has stopped working unexpectedly" and it gives me the option to force close. When I close it, a similar message pops up for email, messaging, social hub, tw launcher, facebook and it keeps going on and on without giving me a chance to use the phone. Do you guys know what I can do? I would be extremely grateful if you could help me out.
Bwahahahaa ;-) Gold.
Yes i've tried that. I've take the battery pack, memory card and sim card out, then replaced them but the loop keeps occuring. It's gotta be more of a software issue and that's why I need your help.
You haven't told us anything whatsoever about your setup/rom/kernel/etc. We're not mind readers
Try a factory reset in the first instance.
If you're running anything other than stock firmware, go back to stock firmware.
i recomendeed to change your rom..
i think that is a crush from your system, mate..
About 4 months ago I had exactly the same problem.
Is there Debugging-Mode enabled in you're phone?
Is you're phone rooted?
Try to take out only the SIM Card and then connect it to you're PC. Then turn the S2 on and try to backup all you're data.
If you're phone is rooted, try to boot up in CWM Recovery Mode and go to "advanced" and then "Fix Permissions". It shuold solve you're problem.
If you're phone isn't rooted, then you have to flash a stock or custom ROM.

Sorry about that man, but I have no idea what my setup/rom/kernel is, don't even know what most of that means. The thing is I can't even go to the settings on my phone to check because the popups won't allow me to.

I know about technology but not like this. I have no idea what debugging mode/rooted or cwm recovery is. Any chance of explaining it to me in really, REALLY easy terms?
Sorry about my lack of knowledge guys, but I wholeheartedly appreciate you taking the time out to give me a hand.
1. Try wiping all data (fixed when i had the problem)
1. U need a kernel with CWM recovery (recommend siyah kernel)
2. Install with odin look on these forums for odin dont remember link
3. go to recovery (vol up+home button+power) and wipe data/cache (wipes everything apps, passwords, etc)
4. Try now if works click the thanks button

No problem man
Okay...when you have root permissions on youre phone you can write in system files and do other administrative work.
You can root youre phone by flashing a rooted kernel. The kernel is something like the heart of youre Android OS. You have to know some facts about youre S2, to root it successfully.
You have to know which Kernel version is installed at the moment. This information you can find in Settings -> About Phone -> Kernel Version (or something like that...my S2 is in German ). But when youre phone is bricked or youre system is damaged, its really hard or impossible to find out the kernel version. I think you won't be able to root it successfully :-(
So the only one possibillity to rescue youre S2 is, to flash a new firmware.
Good night everyone I wanna return to stock my optimus g I used lgnpst but the phone freeze in AT&T logo if somebody help me that will be great
Sorry for my bad english its not my language Im still learning
Instructions say if it freezes at boot, then you have to let it restore to 100%, not just at the 68% when phone reboots.
Or you can just flash a nandroid, unless you want to remove toot and relock it? I have a TWRP nandroid of OTA I might be able to upload, its a big file.

Doing a factory reset when it hangs on boot after lgnpst usually works. It will wipe your though, any apps, photos, music, etc you have stored there. If you want try that power off phone then press volume down and power and hold both. It may take a few tries but a menu will come up for reset.

To expand on what to expect if you use stock/factory recovery. When wiping data/factory reset from stock recovery (vol down + pwr), you will just get a black & white ATT screen with factory reset/wipe data being your only option. Press volume up or down to exit or pwr button to wipe/restore.

I have not used helium. Where did you copy it to? I was trying to state in my earlier post that "internal storage" would bewiped. I now see that I must have forgotten to type that part, for which I aapologize.

Your English is fine. Maybe if you made a new backup with helium you would be able to see where it is stored on your phone. Then copy your old backup to that location.

hi all
please i need urgent help of my HTC ONE MAX 8060
my phone unlocked and Rooted ok but when i tray to S-OFF phone is booting normal but keeping restarting every 3 minuet and the sim 1 and sim 2 not getting any signal like no sim card insert it ?
dosn`t know what to do
please help
First please don't use bold on the forum. we know your phone is freaking you out.
Did you s-off happen successfully? Try doing a factory reset. I am guessing the S-off process might have flashed a different Hboot , you can see if you get to download the stock hBoot on the s-off thread or probably ask the dev's there.
Exactly, I've edited your post and thread title. No need for excessive repeating of characters and bold font type. Just post in a normal clear tone and folks will help if possible.

i have couple of thoughts and i post it here one by one for you to check
I see you have unlocked your bootloader and i supposed that is via HTC, is that correct?
If i understand your problem correctly, your phone restarts every three minutes, is it exactly 3 minutes? Does the restart happen abruptly like a hot reboot or it shutdown and restarts normally?
Since you are rooted, i would suppose you can look into /etc/init.d and see if there are any scripts there, i would not really expect any scripts in there, if there is something you could try backing it up and deleting it.
Try safe mode when starting the phone, hold volume down and power until android boots and settles down and you will reach safe mode instead of the normal mode.
Did you flash any ROM? i noticed that you posted on CWM thread? This current version of the CWM recovery has issues such as non-recognition of SIM, loosing of IMEI after flashing a ROM.
Do you have a backup of your stock ROM? I guess your last option would be to restore a stock ROM for this phone. I did see some other Dual SIM user on the forum and probably that member could upload a stock ROM for you.

we don't have any custom ROM for the DUAL sim version now. Which ROM did you install?
I can kind of come to a conclusion that it's your ROM which is the problem. As i said again, the recovery might be creating an issue.
you are going to need to find the other member and ask him for his ROM backup

Since you have flashed International ROM, even if you do factory reset, it does not boot/load the original 8060 ROM. Your phone still contains the International ROM. You will need to wait for someone to upload their backup via CWM and then you can restore it and that should get your phone working.
Go through the CWM recovery thread and you would be able to find the user who has a 8060 Dual SIM and you can request for his nandroid backup.

I charged. I was previously using Honami MW HD™ V8 .. with nemesis 6.3.. I don't know why this happened. I have flashed several different ROMs earlier but no problem like this whatsoever occurred.
Oh and also, when i first flashed the ROM last night, I was using an older version of Flashtool. But then later i downloaded the latest version and flashed with it too but the result was still the same.

I would think it's the fact you did not clear data so you can try just that (exclude everything and just leave all clear options checked) or do full flash.

There 2 choices:
Have the data and not be able to use the phone.
Or, lose the data and be able to use your phone.
Up to you which you choose.
It's not like you didn't know it is advised to back up your data before flashing ROM

Hey,
I have a Galaxy Note I717M under bell, running complete stock, and recently, it just decided it doesn't want to turn on anymore.
I can still access download mode and recovery mode, but when I try to boot into system I get stuck at the samsung logo.
Is my phone soft bricked? Am I able to flash a new rom and move on? If so, am I able to recover all my data that's currently on the phone?
Thanks in advance!

As you are stock on everything
its the only way out.
try to do these steps in fastboot mode it won't be any problem most probably.
