this is a link to some middleast east(Israel), or you could aways search for a uae modem as your phone most probably from the uae (just like my galaxys2 which was bought in Lebanon too)
as for the csc you could always look from here

[Q] is there any danger to put csc file from different country via odin?

hi all! for sure i am a noob!
is it dangerous to put csc file from different country to the latest firmware? for example csc for south east asia DX to europe XX via odin?
No danger. But you more than likely won't be able to get firmware updates via Kies if you have a different CSC.
CSC is just network settings for local area networks .
Like
CSCEdition>ED003</CSCEdition> <Country>UK</Country> <SalesCode>O2U</SalesCode> <NbNetworkInfo>2</NbNetworkInfo> -<NetworkInfo> <MCCMNC>23410</MCCMNC> <NetworkName>O2 UK Pay Monthly</NetworkName> </NetworkInfo> -<NetworkInfo> <MCCMNC>23410</MCCMNC> <NetworkName>O2 UK Pay&Go</NetworkName> </NetworkInfo>
Not really required if you set network manually .

I'm looking for unbranded Irish or Europe firmware.

Hello people. Could someone point me to some firmware that is up-datable with kies and unbranded without vodafone intros and stuff.
I did look around here and on sam mobile but cant find anything suitable.
The phone itself came stock with csc LUX and a Luxembourg firmware I think. I'm looking for something Irish or open European.
I appreciate the help. Thanks.:good:
XXBLG8 has the CSC "BTU" which is British unbranded and usually gets updates first.

Thanks man, appreciate the help.
Actually whatever the latest rom with BTU is the one you want, I think there may be an update since LG8 but the important part is the BTU CSC anyway.

BTU is the csc code if you phone csc is not set to BTU you will not update your phone.
If you dial *#1234# you can check your csc
Hope this helps I've been reading about them recently because I couldn't update after flashing back to a stock firmware.

Will BT update change CSC?

Hi I've got a CSC of ORA and I suspect orange UK won't be upgrading to Jb anytime soon. Can I use the recent btu update and will it change the CSC from ORA to BTU?

Most likely it will change it but then you don't have to wait for Orange to update. I'm on T-Mobile and I had a TMU csc but now on BTU
Hi
I changed mine from vod to btu and now get the btu updates instead of vod mine did not change when i flashed the btu firmware so found a old csc and flashed the btu csc so change it. I had to go backwards to a old vod firmware to go forwards on btu. Hope this makes sense.
