Recovering a 16GB Samsung Player 5.0 - Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0, 5.0

I have a 16GB YP-G70EW Samsung Player 5.0 with physical center button. I'm trying to recover it to stock or any binary.
I've tried many binaries here, but none work, can't seem to get past the samsung screen. Download mode always works, but recovery almost never. Can someone help me with finding the correct pit and binary? Thanks!

The problem is that the 16gig pit posted is for the GB70 model, not the G70 model, I already tried that and didn't help.

They are the same and should work both the same.
You have other kind of problem. Wipe clean and flash stock FW and wipe cache again.

I can't download your 'full recovery rom for yp-g70' linked
I really need the files. Please give me full recovery rom for yp-g70_16g.
Indeed my device is brick(infinite download mode:crying.
Because of covering kernel, formmating efs//system//emmc//sdcard//data etc., and intalling custom rom.
Thenthforth when I turn on my device start infinite samsung logo.
So i covered pure firmware using odin but that the time start infinite galaxy space logo:crying:.
Finally I cover 'full recovery for yp-g1' using heimdall. I Perfectly ruin my device. What should I do? Do i use 'adb sideload'?
Please help me:crying:

Try to wipe cache with the standard recovery mode if you can

[Q] Bricked Galaxy Player 4, have download mode available

Hello everyone. I bricked my US Galaxy Player 4.0 after trying to install a certain ROM for it.
i visited this page:

for the stock rom and tried to flash the PIT file along with a ROM's PDA file. All i keep getting when i try to reboot it is the Samsung logo followed by the image i'm going to attach to this.
I can get into download mode and everything, i think it's just a matter of having the right files to flash, etc. Can anyone help me out?

follow the proper instructions in that link with the proper files for the US version, when using those files to recover you use Heimdall not ODIN, also make you have a good backup of your EFS.tar or you'll be like me after screwing around with the CM7 beta's and not have a lockscreen or powermenu.
Simple flashing the PIT and the "stock" .tar via Odin will NOT work, I assume your trying to use Odin because you say "with a ROM's PDA file" and there is no PDA box if you are doing what that link says to do for the US version.
That's exactly how I bricked my Galaxy Player 4. Except that I can't enter recovery or download mode. I have to enter download mode with Adam's Resurrector. I used Heimdall with those files and I keep getting error: failed to receive response. So I have no way to revive my player.

yea, he should do it at first after flashing right kernel and rom, factory reset, format cache, clean dalvik and fix permissions, if not through CWM, just manualy (adb console)
Mine is hard bricked, but I can still get into download mode with the resurrector. But when I try to flash the correct rom and kernel, I get the following error in Heimdall: "kernel upload failed", anyone how to fix this?
Thats just soft bricking ur fine go back to stock start over find the stock tar files

Stuck in Samsung logo after flashing stock ROM

I used Odin 1.85 to revert to stock ROM. My phone is i9100XXLPX so I downloaded the right ROM for it from androidfirmwares.net. There were two 4.0.3 ROMs for XXLPX, and I tried flashing them both. Both got stuck on Samsung logo.
This phone is barely new and a gift I am very upset, and your help will mean the WORLD to me. I am willing to co-operate the best I can. But please, I need anyone's help! You will be given all the 'thanks' you'd like.
THANKS a lot in advance!
During the Odin Flash you got the green signal from Odin?
Also before flashing did you wipe to factory settings?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN FIXED.
How I fixed it:
In recovery, I wiped data (after flashing the ROM) and it booted normally.
Thank you!
I am sorry for the hassle.
Sadly, I'm having the same issue.
I'm coming from CyanogenMod 10.1 and wanted to test the latest stock firmware from Samsung.
My PC is running under Linux and the way I flash the firmware is:
sudo heimdall flash --primary-boot boot.bin --cache cache.img --factoryfs factoryfs.img --hidden hidden.img --modem modem.bin --param param.lfs --secondary-boot Sbl.bin --kernel zImage
The image files are extracted from the I9100XWLS8_I9100XXLS8_I9100FOPLS3_HOME.tar.md5
Unfortunately after the flash and reboot the booting is stuck at SAMSUNG logo and no wiping or re-flashing helps. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Try windoze.
Here's the leak, it could get you to your feet before flashing LS8.
At the end I gave up, after the failure to install even the older ICS 4.0.4 official firmware, so no love for me from the Samsung.
Happily, at least I was able to reinstall CM10.1 without issues. The thing that impressed me, after reinstalling the CM10.1, was that my internal card was almost the same as is before the fiasco. I.e. the old folders with the images (from the camera) and the uploaded music was intact!
It seems I have to format the internal sd card before I start flashing the Samsung's firmware.

Restock is impossible if you updated to android 10 due to antirollback. If you cannot go into download mode or download mode just keeps fails when flashing, your emmc is dead.
Happened to me today..
Flashed my Galaxy A51 to the latest firmware using ODIN after I tried a custom ROM on this phone, and it stuck on Logo even after getting pass in ODIN.
The solution is to go back to recovery (stock recovery, not TWRP, no need reflashing firmware etc), wipe cache, data and format.. then reboot.

[Q] YP-G1 [USA] Full Stock Heimdall-friendly ROM - where to find?

Hello,
I've managed to soft brick my Samsung Galaxy 4.0 [YP-G1 USA], and after looking through several threads I have determined that I have managed to butcher my partitions on my device.
I have already attempted to flash Stock roms onto the device using ODIN (I have used the ODIN ROM from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1531850) alongside the PIT file. However, after looking into the .TAR files, I have found that they do not contain the whole rom in order to fully re-partition my device - usually there is only a zImage and maybe a factoryfs.rfs file inside.
I can still access download mode, and when the device attempts to boot up normally, the Android Recovery Service appears. When I attempt to wipe data, formatting of both "dbdata/" and "cache/" fails, and upon reboot I am returned to the Android Recovery Service again.
I am wanting to try re-partitioning by using Heimdall 1.3.1, in hopes that this might fix my ARS boot loop issue. However, the Heimdall ROM in the above link is unavailable at this time, something to do with MediaFire download limits on corrupted/encrypted archives or something similar.
After several highly-unsuccessful searches here on XDA, I can't seem to find a stock ROM that has all the partition files within. Does anyone know where I can find a complete download of the USA YP-G1 Stock ROM that I can use with Heimdall to manually repartition my YP-G1?
I will be using the instructions provided in the above link for Heimdall flashing.
Many thanks,
Anorax|Audio

Need Help with a Softbricked Galaxy S3 i9300

Hi there,
I may have softbricked my i9300 S3 after failing to flash MIUI. I had the phone rooted already with custom recovery installed.
CWM 6.0.1.2. A friend recommended the recovery after he successfully installed it on his S3. I was running Android 4.1.2
so no Knox problems hopefully. I downloaded the latest MIUI rom for my phone directly from the official website and used the CWM
to try and flash it. My phone was already rooted at that stage and I had wiped cache and reset the phone prior to the flash attempt.
Unfortunately it gave me a Status 7 error. Even after I unrooted and rerooted my phone the error still remained. I read somewhere else
that this happens sometimes and so I edited the Updater-Script as suggested elsewhere and deleted the section pertaining to the
Verification process. I double checked I had the right ROM too and proceeded to wipe and flash again. It seemed to take and the phone
restarted and I was met with the MIUI language selection menu. However, when i tried to select English, the whole thing just froze and switched
off and restarted itself. But this time the screen went all weird and fuzzy and wouldnt boot back to MIUI interface. I tried to boot into recovery but with no luck. I have tried to reflash the recovery also with no luck. I have tried other versions of CWM alos without luck. Tried TWRP and also no luck. I have used both the 3.07 and the 1.85 version of ODIN with no luck. The flash would fail with either a PIT error or a COM port error. But I have all the necessary drivers installed. I have Kies but dont run it at the same time. The Emergency Firmware something also doesnt seem to work.
I have pictures of the various errors and such and can provide dropbox links if required
Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks!
Original Firmware
If I were you, I would go to Download Mode and Flash the Original Firmware from Samsung. Download it from the Sammobile Website and after you successfully installed it try it again.
Like Tkkg1994 said above download the Samsung firmware and use Odin to install it through download mode.
You were having a "Status 7" error when initially flashing miui because your CWM recovery was not the latest...download the latest cwm recovery (6.48.something not sure??) Then flash miui and hopefully you shouldn't have any problems.

Yes that's correct. Because of this I would do all things to get a normal S3 without root. That in download mode it shows Original and 0 flashs. Than I would download Philz latest Touch Recovery, clean to install a new rom, download the ROM again, maybe there is a fault, than install it again and root it later, not than.
Hope I could help
Thanks guys! I think that was the general consensus then. I'm trying to follow this guide here
http://unbrick.itcse.com/unbrick-soft-bricked-samsung-galaxy-s3-i9300/
But when I download the Original 4.1.2 ROMS they dont have all the mentioned csc files nor do they have any PIT files in them either.
The only file included in the ZIP was a MD5 file which i guess is the PDA file.
Regardless, I'll give it a go. I've found some newer CWM recoveries but they seem to be IMG files instead of ZIP or MD5.
Any idea how to convert it. I'm getting the file directly from the CWM ROM MANAGER website.
Thanks for all the help again!

I downloaded this one

I have tried older ODIN 1.85 too. NO PIT PARTITION ERROR

Extract the file inside the ZIP File. Than go to odin and on Odin3.09 select AP! Not PIT. This works!
Yes Sir Thanks but I was doing that before. When I unzip there is 2 files.
One is MD5 file and the other one is SS_DL.dll file
I loaded it in AP slot in ODIN 3.09 and ODIN 1.85
Still gives PIT Partition Error!
Is there any PIT file that I can use that wont brick my phone??
I really dont want to brick this phone!

You don't brike your phone this way. I never select the SS_DL.dll file. You just need the MD5 file and do this in AP. I do some research on that but it should work
Yes thanks man. Even Samsung Official readme says that I should do it that way but I still get PIT error when I load the .tar file in the zip.
If someone can link me a working .tar file with PIT as well I would greatly appreciate it!

Only the .tar ones load but when I start to flash it, the same PIT Partition error comes up.

UPDATE
Turns out that my S3 had a faulty eMMC chip and had to have the chip and the motherboard replaced.
NOTE TO OWNERS OF 2012 MODEL I9300 GALAXY S3:
I did not know this before I had the problem but there is apparently an APP on the PLAY STORE called eMMC Brickbug App.
That will apparently check your eMMC status. Since I was not aware of this app beforehand I cannot say for sure if this app
does or does not work. However I previously owned and since gave away a 2013 late model Galaxy S3 which had no issues
whatsoever. From all the details that I have read, it seems that most 2012 models of the i9300 are more susceptible to this kind
of problem. If you own a 2012 model please take extra care when flashing any type of software, even if its original from Samsung!
Finally thanks to all the Posters who have attempted to help me out. I'm sure that all of your suggestions would have fixed the issue had my
phone not been hard bricked in the first place.

Flash failure

Hi,
I recently tried installing a new rom on my Samsung Galaxy SII i9100 with Lineage 14.1. The installing failed as there was a problem with some signature I didn't have.
I have since then tried flashing CWM recovery, multiple different stock roms via Odin, samsung kies firmware upgrade, factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache yet nothing is working.
When I flash with Odin, everything flashes fine but after, when I try switching my phone on, the phone gets stuck in a bootloop. I can access recovery and download mode fine but cannot load my phone.
Please help as this is my main phone.:crying:
