Hey 008 Rohit. I remember you from Nokia S60V5 custom ROM development scene. Welcome aboard.
Well, the chipset is a Mediatek MT 6589 chipset. Micromax is the exclusive device user (no other phone, YET).
The development on Mediatek chipsets isn't bad. We need drivers and sources. But then we'll find out everything in the next 2 weeks.
Also, Micromax will release Android 4.2 Jelly Bean as well. More good news. More development possibilities.

Are you sure they would update it to 4.2? 'cause thier last superphones didn't get any update although they were worthy of it.

MMX have emerged as a player in the market. Considering the hardware in mind, Canvas HD is capable of running Jellybean 4.2 ( official/unofficial )

It WILL BE running all heavy games without any lag quadcore it is expect huge smoothness tho i never owned any Mmx before am a Samsung and Huawei fanboy anyway I would love to promote our indian companny too
So yea Its a great device hardware wise but Mmx has a history of Sum small bugs on Software(mostly are based on CM sources de-odexed) anyway All in all a great device specially from an indian companny

i tried to root intex aqua 5 with bin4ary tool but it only give the super user permission as an interactive shell;
so any one who only want to delete some unwanted apps can download from here............

can i get review abt this ,,,aqwa 5...is it better then MICROMAX A110....i belive it has good thing is 3 sencors which micromax dont have ,,proximity and g-censor mainly,plus 1.3 mp front camera....
hows display and graphics....
which one i chooce micromax a110 or intex aqwa 5...pls reply fast.

it comes with qual com dual core processor having aderno 205 gpu which has amazing graphics and i have played counter strike and aralon ...these hd games run very smoothly whereas in a110 it often reboot.....after these games.................the only thing which lags in it isbachk camera which is 5mp in aqua and 8 mp in a110.....................from back it gives a complete look of galaxy note..............i'm very satisfied with the phone ......and also advice u to grab it........

Mtk6582 roms cant be ported to mtk6589 just like that
the whole chipset is different uses a different file system.
It seems that mediatek roll out the kitkat update only for MT6582 and the MT6592

I'm no expert but I don't think so. Because mtk6582 is a quad core and mtk6592 is an octa core., so i guess it has different drivers altogether.
