Hi,
I have been experiencing problems with the wifi tethering of my i9100m since I updated to JB.
I get limited connectivity whenever I connect my laptop/desktop to the hotspot, I have to connect a mobile device first for it to connect with the laptop/desktop. If I don't use a mobile device first, it doesn't show in the list of connected devices even though it says connected in windows.
Does anybody else have this issue?
Tried with foxfi and tried changing APN too without sucess

It is a JB issue i think. I use wifi tethering very often and when i upgrade to jb, my pc gave the same error. Usb tethering works but wifi tethering is not working. I advise you to install a 4.0.4 custom rom.

Got same problem. Works 8/10.
I installed Super Jelly Bean v4.0 with the Fusion v5.5 kernel on my Xperia Ray without any issues, except that USB tethering is not working. Each time I check off the USB tethering box, it unchecks itself and nothing happens. Sometimes, it will display the message "USB tethering error".
I had USB tethering working with the regular factory firmware (v4.1.0.562 and all the previous versions I had before) with my Windows 7 Pro pc. Does anyone know if there are any logs I can check to see what is going wrong? Any suggestions on what I can do?

I think I figured it out. With the phone plugged in, I went into Device Manager and uninstalled the NDIS device, disconnected and then reconnected the phone. The stock firmware must have used an old/incompatible NDIS driver.
hmm.,.. tethering worked after I re-installed the driver. Now that I turned tethering off, and tried turning back on again, it has failed. Is anyone else having issues?

I uninstalled the driver in Windows again, and disconnected/reconnected my phone to my pc and it has started to work again. It seems this is the only way to get it working. I would post this in the development section where I downloaded the firmware, but I don't have sufficient access, or not enough posts....
Hi, everyone.
Yesterday i installed firmware I9300XXUGNA8, i think it's the latest firmware for SGSIII. And after that:
1. I can't turn on Wi-Fi on my SGS III.
2. It seems that there is a problem with mobile internet. There is an H+/H/E icon, but there's no internet. I can't download anything, neither open any webpage. But may be the problem is in my operator.
3. When i'm connecting my phone to notebook via USB, it charges, but there's no access to the phone.
4. Android gallery (com.sec.android.gallery3d) stopped working after the new firmware had been installed.
I've made hard reset, but there is no any changes. So now I even can't use my google accoumt on my phone. Any ideas how i can solve this problem?

I own a Moto G (1st generation), running on Android 5.0.2, stock firmware (LXB22.46-28), bootloader locked and unrooted. When I switch on Connectify-me on my laptop to create a Wifi hotspot, my phone is unable to detect it. It doesn't show up on the Wifi connections list. Two other Wifi connections do show up, which also show up on my laptop. My phone was working fine with Connectify on the previous android version. Alternatives like Virtual Router, etc. are not working. I have not been able to check if my phone has been able to connect to other Wifi connections after the Lollipop upgrade.
What can I do?

I own a Samsung SM-J100H and I am running Stock firmware (J100HXCU0APE3).
I rooted my phone and after that I cant use it as mobile hotspot or USB tethering. When I turn USB tethering on it activate and deactivate and gives an error. The mobile Hotspot just do nothing it only shows that is on, but no magic happens. I unrooted my phone, but the problems persiste. I need help, what can I do?
