Hi, everyone.
Yesterday i installed firmware I9300XXUGNA8, i think it's the latest firmware for SGSIII. And after that:
1. I can't turn on Wi-Fi on my SGS III.
2. It seems that there is a problem with mobile internet. There is an H+/H/E icon, but there's no internet. I can't download anything, neither open any webpage. But may be the problem is in my operator.
3. When i'm connecting my phone to notebook via USB, it charges, but there's no access to the phone.
4. Android gallery (com.sec.android.gallery3d) stopped working after the new firmware had been installed.
I've made hard reset, but there is no any changes. So now I even can't use my google accoumt on my phone. Any ideas how i can solve this problem?

I am completely unable to get Kies to see my 10.1 tab on my PC win 7. I always end up with an error message (Cannot start service on the devise. Please disconnect and reconnect the devise).
I tried the trouble shooting connection option, still the same no connection. Anybody have any tips on making that connection?
I always had problems with Task 14
I think mine stopped working via USB with the last update, although it worked over WiFi. Have you tried both?

WiFi works fine, but I don't see option of updating the firmware on WiFi.
In the same boat, trying to get ICS update but won't connect via kies......
wifi works fine.
The only way kies connects for me is using my unrooted backup. Any custom rom won't connect for me. Have you tried that?
I have the same problem. Tried to connect to Kies before the ICS upgrade and just now after performing the ICS upgrade. Nothing works, tried turning on USB debugging, etc.

Does factory reset work? On my HC 3.2 Kies (and USB drivers) were very finicky. Re-installed KIES/Drivers many times and only a factory reset got it primed and working. Have only seen ID mismatches once in a while after Stock ICS, but when it works Kies also recognises the tab.

if you are rooted, then the Tab will not connect to Kies. The same way like some Samsung applications will not work if rooted. So, there are two options that you: root and live free or stay connected to Samsung like an apple lover.... Sorry, but I am terribly upset on Samsung...
If you are stock and cannot connect... try removing all the drivers from PC (check internet for how to remove hidden devices). And try to uninstall and reinstall Kies

My rooted tab connected just fine to Kies.
What I think you mean is that if you're not running a stock ROM, you can't connect to Kies. That's probably the case. Mine is stock but rooted.
Hi,
I have been experiencing problems with the wifi tethering of my i9100m since I updated to JB.
I get limited connectivity whenever I connect my laptop/desktop to the hotspot, I have to connect a mobile device first for it to connect with the laptop/desktop. If I don't use a mobile device first, it doesn't show in the list of connected devices even though it says connected in windows.
Does anybody else have this issue?
Tried with foxfi and tried changing APN too without sucess

I have got my Samsung Galaxy S3 (I9300) about a weeks & I keep getting pop up saying below:
Network Failure - "Download failed. Disconnected from Wi-Fi Network. When re-connected to Wi-Fi Network dowload will restart. To download via mobile networks, start download again after disabling Wi-Fi only. Downloading via mobile networks may incur additional charge"
The strange part is i havent even connected to Wi-Fi network so dont know how it is disconnected from it.
And this error only pops when my mobile data is on.
The phone is atm running on android 4.0.4(though 4.1.2 update is avalaible in India but my Wifi router is not working and i have ordered another which will be delivered in a week)
Any idea how to rectify this problem?
Sounds like your phone is trying and failing to download an update, the new stock ROM for your region probably.
If you don't want it to use all your mobile data plan then disable the Samsung firmware updater.

In Settings>About Device>Software Update i am getting these 2 options:
Update(check for update)
Wifi only (Only downloadable when connecter via Wi-Fi (SELECTED)

My problem is as following:
I have Galaxy Tan 2.7 GT-3113 suddenly the WI-Fi stopped working. it hang on "Turning on"
i tried hard reset and factory reset wiped caches but no luck. after some search some post suggested that it is SW bug and i should update the Android 4.1.1 to the new on 4.2. I tried all ways but my tab is not recognized on any computer. i tried different cable and different computers still the same issue. i tried to install cm.10.2 via Manual mode but of-course it failed signature. i could not root it because i have no connection via usb. i connected Samsung for a firmware img installable via manual mode but they say they do not support this way.
can someone help me?

I just bought a Amazfit Pace today. I tried to connect it to my phone (Huawei P20 Pro) immediately, but to my dismay, I only got "Couldn't Pair" error repeatedly. After some research, I found out that the older firmware have an issue to connect to Android 8.1 or later. Many articles suggested that I should connect the watch to a device running Android 8.0 or earlier, then get the firmware update, and then connect to the new phone.
The problem is, I don't have any device that is running with older Android. Both my LG V20 and Huawei P20 Pro is running on Android 8.1. In that case how can I update the firmware of the watch without connecting to the phone? Is there any way to update via PC?
Must be someone around you with Android phone and older version. Should be easier to convince such person to install the app, update the watch and uninstall than root (avoid warranty) and flash with pc.

Thanks guys, I managed to get it updated via old tablet I've kept it in my drawer for so long that I even forgot it. Now I've received the firmware update (1.3.8a) and able to connect to my phone.
now the problem is, once connected to my phone, there is a notification saying that Rom version 2.8.1.0 is available and asking me to update. I clicked update but nothing happened. It's a bit annoying now. Has anyone encountered this issue? I tried to connect my watch to my other phone (LG V20) and also it happened the same. I hope I don't need to go back to my tablet for another firmware update.
you need to wait, the 2.x.x.x update is a full rom, its some 300MB

Yes, from the watch, go to Settings> Connections and connect to Wifi. Then, go to Settings > Update. There it will download the latest version and install.

I had some minor annoyances with this too, bought the watch in official store 2 days ago. Just give it couple of tries, on a phone with android 7. You will succeed eventually. As I said, minor annoyance but since I updated it, I enjoy it
What I do see happening now, though, is probably large number of returns from people who don't know a lot about this kind of stuff. Store opened 2 days ago in Croatia, probably set some records, there was a line in front of the store whole day, it would be a shame if many people came back third day with complaints about unusable watches.

Try to un-install and re-install the Amazfit Watch app. You need to be in the ROM version 1.3.8a and pair the watch with the phone. Then, open the app before you do anything. Connect the watch to Wifi. Once the watch asked u to enter Wifi password on the phone, the phone should prompt you to do it.
