[Q] Deep Sea using up excessive battery? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

Does anyone have any idea why the "Deep Sea" LWP would be using a big percentage of my battery? I actually did use it as my wallpaper for a while, but then noticed that it was showing up pretty high in the list of battery usage apps. I switched to a static wallpaper a few days ago, and noticed last night that it was still showing up in my battery usage apps. I then went into the application info for it and disabled it last night before I went to bed and charged it overnight.
Here is my usage this morning. This was with about 2 minutes of screen time.
Should I just go in with root explorer and rename/delete the file? Or do you think that this is a false positive?
Thanks!

Android System uses 4% battery an hour?!

Yesterday I was playing with a bunch of apps. After I was done, charged the phone to full, stopped apps, cleared memory, and went to sleep.
This morning I saw that Android system was using 4% an hour! This is with the phone completely idle. The battery usage screen doesn't show any application being used. I'm sure that it is probably one of the apps that I downloaded yesterday, but I need help identifying which one.
There is no wake at all according to the battery usage screen. Anyone got an idea? Prior to yesterday, my idle usage was only 0.5% an hour...

Was airplane mode on? How was reception?
Airplane mode was never on for my phone. I just turn off Bluetooth and GPS before I sleep. Unless there was an outage that I wasn't aware of, connection quality should've been the same. It always hover between 3 or 4 bars near my bed.

What apps did you install? Have you attempted to uninstall them 1 at a time to see if you can isolate which one is the culprit?

What is this "Wi-Fi sharing" that drains battery?

Hello all,
I unplugged my fully recharged GSII last night and set the alarm for the morning and slept. I woke up in the middle of the night, about 2 hours since I unplugged the phone and realized that it only had 78% of battery.... I've had enough battery to use for 2 days without hooking it up..
I was quite shocked to see this... but then I saw this app called "wi-fi sharing" just draining the phone's battery. It drained it down so much that when I woke up in the morning the battery was down to 50%.
What IS this monster? I have it frozen at the moment..

Classic AT&T bloatware... It's some filesharing thing, it's different from wifi tethering...

Battery & Gauge Issues

My DNA battery has gone crazy. Last night the battery was at 66%, I restarted it and the battery went up to 76%. Today, the battery was at 33%, I rebooted it and the battery dropped to 17%. After that I rebooted it again to see if it would go back up and it dropped to 14%. So I did it one last time and that battery then went up to 24%. I dont get it and on top of that my battery life has been terrible recently.
To try to extend it I have installed Lux to manage the screen brightness, I have turned off backup and Google Location Service.
I got Nova Launcher yesterday to see if that helps, I'm using Greenify to close apps and CleanMaster to get rid of junk. I dont use Google Now or have any apps sync/receive notifications besides Messages and Phone. I can't get through the day and I don't use my phone from 7am to 12 in the afternoon.
I have 25 apps installed from Google Play and all the bloatware and useless apps disabled. I use Next Browser instead of Stock/Chrome
Any solutions or suggestions

Maybe just try to do full cycles with the batter to re-calibrate it, charge it up 100%+ and drain it 99%, rinse/repeat a few times.

Ive read that you arent supposed to drain the battery and this phone is unpredictable for when it will turn off from a low battery.
Sometimes it turns off at 8%, sometimes it might turn off at 2%

You're right about draining the battery however we cannot fully drain these batteries. The system shuts the phone down when it hits a certain level, however you can still power the device back on after it does this, thus the battery still has charge and not fully drained.
And yes they can be unpredictable.
Mine will shut down when it gets to about 5 percent but I was using it one time and it went from 8 to 2 in a second and powered itself down. I think they all act weird when they get really low but your issue sounds like the battery is on its last leg.

According to your battery stats, what's draining the battery the most? Also download GSam battery stats to get a more detailed look at the apps and services that are consuming battery.
Maybe your battery is past its prime, but you want to be sure its not an app or service draining things before giving up.
My Droid 3 and 4 are still going strong as long as I charge them fully and then periodically drain them to 10%.

Battery Drain Issue

Have had this phone for about 2 - 3 weeks. Starting yesterday, I noticed the battery draining abnormally fast. I am not using any email client other than gmail. So basically, nothing in my routine changed. I didn't install any new apps, or started using any apps that I wasn't using before. Essentially, out of the blue, my battery is draining like crazy now. I had to recharge it mid day yesterday, had about 30% left before going to bed, woke up and phone was dead.
This is the s6's battery..i go out at 8 and at 12 my phone shuts down..buy an external pack and youll be fine

The reason I made the thread is because the battery was fine for me until a couple a days ago, now it drains 30% over night and I can barely get through half a day on light use. One problem after another with this phone. I guess I have to do a factory reset.
Booting into safe mode could tell you if the fast drain was caused by a rogue app.

Uninstalled application still eating battery on android 8.0

I'm using moto z play for last 18 months and its battery lasts for about 25-30 hours on normal usage. since yesterday i'm having some battery issues which started as i installed Age of empires: castle siege, phone straightaway heated up, i uninstalled quickly. I'm using clash of clans for past some time and it didn't appear to cause any issue... since yesterday night my phone heated up and battery drained within 7-8 hours on ideal state as i slept. it was showing in battery stats that es file explorer is taking huge chunk of batter i.e 62% . I uninstalled it, but even after uninstallation it is now showing app "10140" is draining my battery its like 10% per hour, with over 9 hours battery usage since my last full charge, I'm attaching the screenshot. Not able to understand why uninstalled app is still eating my phone's battery, is it some kind of malware? how to get rid of it?
