[Q] [GO] ICS Stock FTF - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

I'm about to try the new TinyXperiaLite ROM by thunderising here but it says that I have to have flashed the Stock ICS FTF before I could install the rom. Now, I'm not sure if I've done that, but for a safer side, I'd like to have the Stock ICS FTF file. Can anyone share this?
I've an unlocked Bootloader with Root privileges.
Thanks,
B.

Thanks for the quick reply, do you know if there's a difference between the STOCK FTF and a normal FTF (Sorry if it's a stupid question!)? I already have an FTF file named ST27i_ICS_XPERIAcz.ftf and has about 375MB size - but I'm not sure if it's a STOCK!
EDIT: I searched the Xperia GO Dev forum with 'Stock Firmware' and found only a couple of Stock, that too for GB. If anyone can help me get the STOCK ICS FTF, or confirm if a STOCK FTF is not different than a normal FTF, it'd be great. Thanks in advnace!

[Q] how to update 62 to 73FW

Hi to all,
i have my new xperia s (its great), anyway i already unlock the bootloader (thanks to DooMLoRD and Sony), now my question is how do i update my fone with 62 fw to 73 fw cause it seems that 73 fixes the battery problem?
is there anyone can also give me the link for the 73fw as well as its instructions?
also, once the ICS is release for xperia s is there no conflict once i updated my version to 73?
thanks in advance.
edit: nevermind about the link i found it
edit: thanks for everyone in this forum. now i have successfully updated my xperia s from .62 to .73 and now its rooted. and now il wait for the ICS
i do not know if i will install cfw but for now there is a huge improvement in battery. , maybe il stick to the pre-rooted fw and wait for the ICS before installing any CFW.
May I know how?
May I know that, how you upgraded your firmware from .62 to .73 since you have unlocked the bootloader?
Do you flash the pre-rooted firmware by yourself?
What is your ori generic fw? For me I really hard to find my own country fw...
Here it is

ive downloaded the orig ftf (for backup), you can choose whatever you like but i choose the sg ftf and the pre rooted firmware of sg.
first you need a flashtool
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1588586
and then u need the ftf (orig and pre rooted)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1599303
and for the instructions on flashing the original firmware
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928343
and for flashing the pre-rooted firmware (look for post by 4lex96 i think its the 4th post on third page)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1597784&page=3
thats it goodluck.

Still stuck myself for decision...
Thank you for your info 1st. This give me a guide how to "ROOT" my SXS.
However, after flash in the .73 SG generic firmware, will I face problem while the official ICS update launch?
Is it at that time I will need to wait someone to pack the ftf and upload here then I just can update to ICS?
Haih, headache...
Also plan to use DoomKernel (Advanced Stock) to easily root the phone, dunno what problem will happen...

i thinks theres no problem on getting the ics update its just that the update that youre getting will be based on SG firmware.
yeah i think so too that once the ics is release they will upload here a ftf for it.
i'd tried the doomkernel (advanced stock) last week have no problem at all,
but im on a ROM now so i installed the doomkernel 04a, by the way im using
KAspeed ROM.
anyway if u flash the stock advanced kernel, you can always get back to stock by flashing the original kernel from the stock firmware.
Thank you again.
Well thank you again for the info.
I will try it in this few days, hehe.
btw, you used and using DoomKernel right.
If I flash back the original kernel from advanced kernel, will I lost root and the recovery?

im sure that you will loose recovery but about the root i dont know, if u flash the pre rooted firmware before the doomkernel and then go back to stock maybe the root will not disappear but im not sure havent tried.
Thank you.
Okay. Roughly I got the idea about it.
Now I try to root the firmware that I packed out. Still learning.
Still got long way for the ICS update yet. Haha
Thank you.

Hi guys!
Few days ago before flashing custom Kernel and ROM i made Sony Xperia Mini Pro stock .ftf file (using tutorial somewhere in forum) when bootloader was locked. Now i have a question:

I have tried with my xperia go but the result was a phone with so much problems i think you also need to clear lots of cache in order to do it.
Hope someone give us the recipe to a successful downgrade without losing root.
Simply flash a pre rooted rom
Sent from my ST25i using Tapatalk 2
If anyone sees pre-rooted FTFs, please let us know!
I've Sola btw.
Nice idea, to flash a prerooted rom, like KA XPERIA SSPEED, The Brains ROM or XPeria SuperCharged
but i forgot to mention that i have locked bootloader

As long as i have been seeing the only ones that can make ftf is sony =(
With flash tool you have to decrypt sony update files to make ftf files so i think they have a special signature so we can't modify then flash those?.
The only way to install it custom gb is with CWM right?
Hope someone keep us out of the dark age about this topics.

[Q] I hate ICS on the XU, I cant root and cant go back to GB :(

I was very happy with the performance of GB on my xperia U but there was no root for GB. I was told that in order to get root I have to update to ICS. So I did via update manager and am on the 6.1..54 firmware. Its horrible, slow and laggy.
I used both methods of rooting, flashtool and Bin4ry's both have failed and dont work. My phone cannot be rooted.
So can anyone tell me how I can root this firmware?
Also can I go back to stock GB? if yes please tell me how.
Thank you

.54 cannot be rooted using binary but theres a method where you have to flash the .10 kernel and then root using binary and flash back the .54 kernel and you will be rooted.......
Search the dev thread for it you will find the kernels........

Does this method require unlocked bootloader? I mean the one involving flashing .10 kernel and then back .54 one. Sorry for the "noobish" question, but I just began to explore the root/flashing aspects of my XGO and the proccess is completely different from my previous samsung phone, so it's like begining from zero point again at knowledge.

No. Flashing stock kernel does not require unlocked bootloader, u can keep it locked. there are plenty of guides available here so dont worry.

Thanks for the reply. Indeed I managed to root, install CWM recovery and flashed my first rom at my XGO.
Another "noobish" question if you can answer is that I backed up my rom before flashing the custom rom, yet in the clockwordmod folder in internal memory now there is nothing in it. Did the flashing erased my back up? So I cannot get my original FW, since I didn't back it up at my pc? I mean I had greek FW branded to a carrier, so if I need to send it to service, how am I supposed to get it back? To be honest I didn't see a such situation coming so I was unprepared. FYI I flashed [FXP210] XperiaPremiuM™ v4 from this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2155343. Thanks for your help again!

No i didn't. I still have locked bootloader. that's why i flashed v4 rom for locked bootloader. Yet I may try v5, since it's compatible with LB as well. just i'll have to flash the boot.img through flashtool if I remember correctly from what I read in that thread.
