Ok,so i dont want to be that type of guy who asks..is that better or that better..i just want your perspective...should i go for cm10? is the overall experience faster and smoother??does the camera work well?? can i use it as a daily driver..?? im using touchwiz..but i dont know..i start to see it as a full of color experience..all the icons are orange or very collored...so from your perspective..CM10 OR TOUCHWIZ?
Tx.
If you have to ask this question then the answer is always NO.

When I got my S3 3 months ago I thought AOSP (CM10) was not worth the effort.
The tweaker inside me 3 weeks later rooted and flashed CM10.
In terms of fluidity CM10.1 may win slightly. At the end of day the UI was the decider for me.
CM10.1 is 98% stable for me. Only issues is sometimes the camera stalls with flash etc. No biggie cos I dual boot with stock

Hmm, for me XXLPH doesn't seem stable at all. I've had my phone lock up 3 times since yesterday and have had to do a battery pull.
Two other times it would crash the phone and show the fancy Samsung boot animation.
Is there anything newer than XXLPH?
No.

Try CM9. I tested it for a few days and it's quite stable even if it isn't really my bag (went back to my old setup).

I recommend Resurrection Remix. Ive had great success with it thus far. No fc's and a lot of extras included.

so i rooted my phone with UCLE5 and put the Siyah v343 kernel. but now what? i spent the last 2 days researching to successfully do this for speed improvements and what not. but i dont really see any differences in speed, or any differences at all. any suggestions on what i can do now because my phone looks the exact same way as it did before the root or what did you guys do after a root to make it seem like i actually rooted the phone.

If you dial *6969# naked girls come to where you are..... You need to flash a CUSTOM ROM you're on a stock ICS ROM you need to read a lot more go to the DEV section those are all custom ROMS.... For an instant change go to the play store and install Apex launcher.

If you're on stock ics (the official release) and someone told u there are speed improvements they lied. Any custom rom easily blows stock out of the water. Stock ( even when rooted) is basically for people who want to play it safe and for things to just work. If u want customization and speed ur best bet is an AOSP based rom. Good luck. Happy flashing.

I am using Gnexus right now but I want to buy a new phone and can't really decide between SGS3 and HOX. No issues with Battery life in all honesty. I can use for over 12 hours with constant use and it holds out without complaint. I couldn't say the same with the stock rom but I never really buy these handsets for stock use. I enjoy testing roms too much

hmm i was specifcally told not to flash AOSP roms . btw do you know if that will improve battery life as well. since i updated to official ICS from kies my battery dies really quick. quick meaning if i sleep with battery around 50-60%, i wake up after 7 or 8 hrs, and my battery is dead. im not sure exactly when it dies, but im pretty sure this is a flaw.

Sent from my Aurora-II using xda premium
As we are using ICS ROMs based on the official firmware for your phone , I'm pretty sure you would be good to use all the ROMs made for the at&t note...The only difference being the hardware for NFC.
You should definitely be able to flash Padawan and Blackstar as they are based on your current ROM and currently do not have any code for NFC.
I'm not sure about jb based ROMs as they would have code for NFC hardware and I'm not sure how your phone would react...although I'm sure I did read about someone in Singapore with your version of note being able to use all of the ROMs on this forum...
Sir,
I m new to N7005. Are these 2 links?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1907203
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1676086
Further Question, N7005 4G frequency are 1800/ 2600 GHz which are different from original i717. Is it safe to flash to have 1800/ 2600 GHz too?

Those are the two I am talking about...neither one of them currently has a modem in their flashable so...as far as I know....your existing modem will not change if you flash them and you should still have service on the bands you mention..
Both are good after viewing comment. Which one do you recommend for stable, power saving and less FC? I saw youtube that both are snappier.
I installed lots of game apps.

Hi all,
Have a question re rom in galaxy s3 (uk).
My girlfriend has been using it for a while now and there are some issues like disconnecting with wifi and drains battery realy fast, to save juice wifi needs to be off and phone put in save battery mode and you have to do that each time you put away ur phone...
I have android tablet with custom ram from team EOS and the device is much more better that before (faster! No adds! With different cpu usage profiles to save battery! ...) so my question is what ram would you recommend for galaxy3 ?
Thanks!
Good Luck!

Oh boy he fell for it.
Anyways, if you dont have time, look for roms with most views and replies for starters
I would also like to remind you, that OMG I WANT DUH BEST ROMZ threads are not allowed and end up closed
The fact that you don't have time to do any research won't change XDA rules, and it should be a warning to your friends that if you don't have time to do the research you won't have the time to sort out the problems you will inevitably encounter when you mess up

There is no best absolute Rom that's why those threads are forbidden, to avoid countless trolls and fan battles. You must determine if you want Sammy or not Sammy based Rom, and then pick up one considering the description in op.
use Omega 33.3 Rom if you want a touchwiz based rom. Its tweaked for performance and very stable with the latest additions of Android 4.2 and Note II features..

There's no chance that you've tried Siyah-i777 v7.0 - I just uploaded it like an hour ago. This is the first version that has CM10.1 support.
It is not choppy at all..... performance is actually VERY good.
You really should at least look at the version numbers before saying something is choppy or other bad feedback that is not deserved at all.
