Hongkong N7005 - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

hi guys,
does ayone can tell me which ROM can be good for my Hongkong version N7005? Galaxy Note LTE?
Sent from my Aurora-II using xda premium

As we are using ICS ROMs based on the official firmware for your phone , I'm pretty sure you would be good to use all the ROMs made for the at&t note...The only difference being the hardware for NFC.
You should definitely be able to flash Padawan and Blackstar as they are based on your current ROM and currently do not have any code for NFC.
I'm not sure about jb based ROMs as they would have code for NFC hardware and I'm not sure how your phone would react...although I'm sure I did read about someone in Singapore with your version of note being able to use all of the ROMs on this forum...

Sir,
I m new to N7005. Are these 2 links?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1907203
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1676086
Further Question, N7005 4G frequency are 1800/ 2600 GHz which are different from original i717. Is it safe to flash to have 1800/ 2600 GHz too?

Those are the two I am talking about...neither one of them currently has a modem in their flashable so...as far as I know....your existing modem will not change if you flash them and you should still have service on the bands you mention..

Both are good after viewing comment. Which one do you recommend for stable, power saving and less FC? I saw youtube that both are snappier.
I installed lots of game apps.

I am on Padawan and am loving it! Blackstar was just as good but I was not so much into the black and white theme..

Padawan size is 46xM and Blackstar's is 70xM which needs to take 3 hours to DL. It is obvious I try Padawan first

You know..I have never once used a benchmark to judge a rom..For me stability comes first, followed by battery life and finally features...smoothness of the interface is nice but it ranks far down on my list..

Sir, How to set ringtone and notification tone? The music player doesnt have such function.

Sir,
Dont you have kernel to flash? I feel the rom is a bit lag for sometime. The power consumption cant be achieved as this. http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1539675&d=1354742513

[Q] Which ROM Are You Using?

Hello GUIse & Girls
As you can probably see in the subject bar (or title bar) in this thread, I was wondering what ROM's you guys are using. I think I've probably tested all the ROM's available for the SGSII (Since I'm a themer) and I can't come to the conclusion on which one is the best, they all have their strong points but some are better than others. I will eventually will put a Poll up when I can collate ALL the ROM's that are the main ones (No offence the ones I miss out).
I'll start,
I change ROM's almost daily (As I said, I'm a themer and need to test features) but at present I am using Revolution 2.6 with the Speedmod t27 Kernel, the battery isn't as good as expected, I've disabled fast dormancy and hardly use 3G Data or Wi-Fi and it seems just to drain like none of it's business. I'm even using the Black Android Theme I made for the SGSII as blacks work better and use 30% less power on the Super AMOLED plus.
So, which ROM are you using?

I tries most of the rom. But for battery life and stability, in my opinion, the best is so far the stock one (KH3 for the moment). I just apply some tweaks^^ (CRT, APN, Talk2, UAchange in browser...)

I'd probably go with Revolution ROM, he included a ROM Kitchen app in it so you can install whatever tweaks and themes you need.
If you're looking for pure stability then it's Cognition.

[T-MOBILE]Is any one working on I9300 ROMs for the USA SGH-T999

does any one know if any one is trying to get this fabulous ROM cooked for USA variations of the SIII ??
I really hope some can come up with at least one of the ROMs that the I9300 already has which are like 90% better of what we have in the USA so far
but I gotta thank to each one of the developers that have done amazing jobs by already releasing ROMs in such a short time... congrats.:crying::crying:

Please don't use caps. Try to keep a friendly environment here
Now as long as you don't have Verizon as your network... *If you have a Verizon SGSIII good luck.. haha*
CM9 is going real fast and I would not be surprised if in a few days the nightly are pretty stable. Almost everything works right now and those things have had some people work for them with patches.
Personally I will probably wait a week or so before I download CM9 but it coming along pretty fast.

what did you do with your rooted phone?

so i rooted my phone with UCLE5 and put the Siyah v343 kernel. but now what? i spent the last 2 days researching to successfully do this for speed improvements and what not. but i dont really see any differences in speed, or any differences at all. any suggestions on what i can do now because my phone looks the exact same way as it did before the root or what did you guys do after a root to make it seem like i actually rooted the phone.

If you dial *6969# naked girls come to where you are..... You need to flash a CUSTOM ROM you're on a stock ICS ROM you need to read a lot more go to the DEV section those are all custom ROMS.... For an instant change go to the play store and install Apex launcher.

If you're on stock ics (the official release) and someone told u there are speed improvements they lied. Any custom rom easily blows stock out of the water. Stock ( even when rooted) is basically for people who want to play it safe and for things to just work. If u want customization and speed ur best bet is an AOSP based rom. Good luck. Happy flashing.

hmm i was specifcally told not to flash AOSP roms . btw do you know if that will improve battery life as well. since i updated to official ICS from kies my battery dies really quick. quick meaning if i sleep with battery around 50-60%, i wake up after 7 or 8 hrs, and my battery is dead. im not sure exactly when it dies, but im pretty sure this is a flaw.

Cm10 vs Touchwiz

Ok,so i dont want to be that type of guy who asks..is that better or that better..i just want your perspective...should i go for cm10? is the overall experience faster and smoother??does the camera work well?? can i use it as a daily driver..?? im using touchwiz..but i dont know..i start to see it as a full of color experience..all the icons are orange or very collored...so from your perspective..CM10 OR TOUCHWIZ?
Tx.
If you have to ask this question then the answer is always NO.

When I got my S3 3 months ago I thought AOSP (CM10) was not worth the effort.
The tweaker inside me 3 weeks later rooted and flashed CM10.
In terms of fluidity CM10.1 may win slightly. At the end of day the UI was the decider for me.
CM10.1 is 98% stable for me. Only issues is sometimes the camera stalls with flash etc. No biggie cos I dual boot with stock

The only bug on 4.2.2 Rom is the back camera not saving images. Recording still works and the front camera works, so unless you need the rear facing camera to take stills, a ROM based on 4.2.2 is your best option.
