I found in another forum a couple of files which allow us to add MegaBass, one of the most beloved features of Sony Ericsson's W(alkman) phone series. I bundled them in an update.zip to be flashed with Clockwork Mod, and given that they work in all Xperia phones, I've decided to spread them around

Here is a quick suggestion for new comers.
Want the real ICS with CM 9 and be on the latest no matter what? Try CM9 GalaxyICS-beta8.(Read Tips section for better performance)
The beta8 has the old player looks, but still sounds the same.

Modded the stock music player to look like beats music player from HTC.

These ROMs are a must for beats studio/detox owners !
For best music on beats headphones, Maclaw's music player Was the best..Trust me I've tried,Power Amp,Player Pro and Win amp but this player remains phenomenal.
TIPS:
SOME TIPS FOR MACLAW's ROM:
This is a ROM under development so it has minor bugs in it, but it is real ICS
1.First boot is always slower, so please have patience while booting for the first time.
The GalaxyICS Updater may FC..this happens in original Maclaw's ROM for some users.
Just ignore it or if you want you can disable it from Settings->Apps->All
2.If you have problems with WIFI, you must apply this patch.. again from Maclaw's

Just flash it in recovery
3.When starting music player for first time if you find any issues like the song pausing automatically then turn off "Flip to pause" Settings->Shake and flip actions->Uncheck Flip to pause
4.If you have problems opening the gallery, go to file manager, open a picture and wait till it is shown..now the galley will work fine.
I recommend using "Quickpic" from android market though.
5.Wait for some time after booting (1-2mins) before you open the music app.
This is for the sdcard to prepare and load music.
SOME TIPS FOR Jusada's ICS Sunday ROM as notified by D3LeT3 :
1.There's a small drawback in the Original Sunday Final Rom itself that the text in sub menus is not visible, this was taken care of by Achep in this thread:

2. Its the apk "ICSandwichTransp-031-build-406.apk" that needs to be installed after the install of ROM to replace the ICS Theme included by default along with the original ROM.

3.To turn the Lockscreen ring to blue when pressed.

LOL totally pointless just download the proper ics port from maclaw then download beats.zip from another thread.. in my opinion beats is nothing special just makes it louder.. my advice buy an ipod..

First, this is my first post on xda.
Second,
This thread Clearly says its [BEATS THEMED] please read.
I've included the beats music player with icons , bootanimation and beats wallpaper which you wont get by flashing the beats.zip.
This post is for beats fanatic's who love to see beats on their phone.
The beats.zip you mentioned does not have any GUI.
FYI there is a separate app on market for enabling the beats headseticon, its called "headseticon" search for it on market.
XDA doesn't allow me to even include a link here.
I was using it until i mod'd my music player.
If you have any suggestions to make it more beats themed please let me know.

This isn't a direct mirror to his work.
I modded his work..
Maclaw says "IF YOU WANT TO USE MY WORK, YOUR WORK MUST TO BE OPEN SOURCE TOO!!!!!"
I did credit him throughout the post, shared a link to his OP and yes i did ask his permission and spacecaker's too.

If you listen to english music on your beats, then i would recommend
1.Little bad girl-David guetta
2.Factory of faith-RHCP
3.Bridge burning-Foo fighters
4.Do ya thang-Rihanna
and for the DSP setting, enable compression and set it to slight
enable bass boost and set it to slight.
Turn up the volume till your ears can bear (close to 80%)

am currently running foxhound 1.42 and DSP manager...
am looking to know if anyone else has a better audio combination, i like LOUD volume (through my headphones while at the gym) but i like the music it be as clear as possible...... atm i am getting alot of distortion and the rom just doesn't seem as loud as when it was around 0.8
can anyone recomend a rom/kernal and sound manager combination to try?

Did you install volume gain mod from aroma installer? With that your phone should be loud like crazy.
I use poweramp which has lots of audio settings. I believe there is a free trial on play store to try out. Or you can just flash siyah kernel where you can adjust audio settings in STweaks.
I am using Siyah kernel and its awesome...... Sound seems to be so much better than stock..... but can't compare to your current setup.......You gotta try it yourself.....

You don't need another rom. Siyah kernel works fine with foxhound. What you need to do:
- grab latest foxhound
- go into recovery
- make nandroid
- Flash foxhound
In aroma choose:
- volume loud hack, yes
- Install Siyah kernel
After that you'll find stweaks app in drawer with lots of audio tweaks

Upgraded to latest AOKP rom. One thing I don't like about the S2 is the low headset volume when plugging in my headset w/mic. I tried accessing the service menu using the #*#*197328640*#*# but I get an MMI error. Is there a way to access the service menu on the latest AOKP rom? More importantly, is there a way to increase the default volume settings for headsets on S2's?

Depending on the kernel that you use. Voodoo Louder works pretty well, I think it was $1.23, but it checks for compatibility before you actually by the function. It claims CM kernels are compatible when it does the check, I can't speak for all versions of this kernel, but from all the stock kernels with AOKP that I've tried it on in the last two weeks it has had no effect. With siyah kernels, I've had no problems with it. It boosts up to 6db. If you use siyah, extweaks app is free, but it only boosts 3 db, so not a significant gain, however the latest version 4.3 (which works great with latest aokp ROMs) might have some extra boost. I haven't given it a shot because I didn't really need to boost much more since I already have Voodoo louder, but it's worth some experimentation before buying Voodoo. Yes there are MANY apps, and some that are free, but I thought I'd save you the hassle of trial and error and let you know what does work. Other things might work better, so definitely feel free to try others out. Also DSP manager, you'll have to google for link to apk, I don't think it's here in XDA, works with an EQ, but when you jam them all the way up it doesn't sound quite right to me. I did not like it, but it has several EQ setting you might like with whatever sound system you're using, plus custom EQ. Boosting sound is really my sole reason for changing kernels, but with latest siyah and extweaks, there are a CRAP LOAD of other settings to play with. Eventually I'll get around to them. Hope this helps.
Power amp + ex tweaks. Power amp allows for an increase of I think 6 db if I remember right
Or install Awesome beats + Siyha kernel + extweaks.

Played with the recent updates in Siyah kernel (in ex tweaks)... The volume boost is pretty damn beast now. Voodoo Louder is pretty much obselete. The headphone amplifier is indeed 6db now, plus the next slider down is an 'analog' boost that goes up 20db....ridonkulous homie... I'm loving it!

Thanks for the tip to use EX Tweaks. I was actually having the opposite problem, headphone volume too loud. Was having to keep it at just 1 click above totally off. Now I can keep it at the mid-point, with plenty of headroom to adjust when moving to louder/quieter environments.
Hey, is there a way to get the Music Box app on Jellybean? By music box I mean the extended beats settings where you can pick the headsets and all. I'm on MeanBean 1.0 by the way if that helps.

It's built into our ROM, but there's some bugs we're still wokring on. Right now all the settings are there, beats works (modified EQ from musicbox), but we are trying to get the headset selector to work.
