Just for yucks, I backed-up my CM10.1 image, flashed a stock Samsung image and followed the OTA upgrade path - in process now...
Edit: Just noticed the Galaxy "Note" 10.1 - so, this may not work at all on my P7510 wifi 10.1 device
...as expected, OTAs only got me to 4.0.4.
Back to CM10.1.
I wonder why Samsung would send me a mail for a device I do not own??
Not only do we get Note 10.1 users in here asking questions, Samsung sent us all info about upgrade for a device that I do not have :silly:

I think it's quite obvious. They want you to upgrade your device.
I have a Galaxy Tab P7500; How do I update it to Samsung Stock Android 4.1??
It has been announced and I'm not sure how to update? I don't care whether it's OTA or via Odin.
I checked sammobile.com but didn't find anything.
Ideas?

Please provide proof of them announcing it, since the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is dead already.
Samsung mistakenly emailed all Tab owners about a JB 4.1 OTA update however it was only intended for the Galaxy Note. It even mentioned in the email it was only for the Note. But it was easy to mistakenly think it was for the Tab. False alarm.

When will official Android 4.0.4 firmware be released for Galaxy SII?
Samsung already has it working on the SIII, can't take much effort to bring it to SII surely? Seems to be taking ages. Jelly Bean will probably be released before we get this update!
Go to http://www.samsung.com/ and locate a contact method.
Anything else anyone tells you is pointless speculation. What super awesome feature are you so eagerly awaiting? If you're desperately wanting that 0.0.1 of extra goodness, flash an AOSP ROM.
Sammobile said samsung working on it....One site said samsung stopped working on 4.0.4 for GS2....No news from samsung
Please stop making these threads. This question has been asked dozens of times before (search). The answer is always the same; how the hell would we know ?
A member asked sammobile and it said that a leak will be out in july/august.

It has been found out that this delay is due to a curse from the Heavens. What has been suggested is that 100 men between the age of 25 and 35 should assemble at exactly Noon tomorrow on the local beach and do a total of 1000 pushpus and then have ice cream sandwich at the local restaurant. It is believed that this would please the Heavens to revoke the curse and JB would be out immediately.I will say around 3 PM tomorrow if everything goes to plan.
Please inform all your friends who are as anxious as you about this important programme that will change our lives dramatically.

It has been available in India for long, I had even received a call from Samsung that the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update is now available on your Galaxy S3. But I told her that I am already on Jelly Bean, thanks to CM10 LOl!
Anyway, you check sammobile for Indian OTA Jelly Bean update link.
Otherwise, simply install in using Odin, this firmware called XXDLIH - http://www.theandroidsoul.com/samsung-galaxy-s3-jelly-bean-update-xxdlih/ See, I have this on my S3, and it's working for other Indians (see comments) too. I guess you probably already knew about it, no?

Should be 1st quarter 2013
It will be released OTA eventually because it is on the 4.2 update list.
this is a quote from that same site:
"The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box which means that an upgrade to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean is virtually guaranteed. Rumors peg the roll out as taking place in the first quarter of next year though Samsung remains mum on the subject. In any event, owners of the latest phablet from Samsung need not worry about Android 4.2. It will be out at some point"

I want to buy Galaxy S3 in a local store.
I can ask whatever ROM I want (they will install it for me).
Before I'm buying it, I need to verify one thing which is important to me.
I understand that if I have an original Samsung ROM then I can get an operating system update by the internet only - when it being released.
My question is, when Samsung will release the Android 4.2.x version for the S3 could I get it on my device by the internet?
Maybe I would have to install the official Samsung ROM for 4.1.x and only then get the update?
Thank you for your help.
Either u get ota update.
Or u use kies.
Or odin easiest method.

There are a few things that you need to know about Samsung updates:
1) Yes, Samsung will give you updates. You can update via the official Samsung KIES software, OTA (over-the-air), or through an unofficial ODIN software.
2) Samsung will never give you the latest updates as soon as they arrive. You will have to wait up to six months for an Android update.
3) Samsung will discontinue updates for phones that were released around 1.5 years before the new update is released. For example, if you buy the Galaxy S2, you will most probably not get the new Key Lime Pie (which will be released later this year). Similarly, for the Galaxy S3, you might not get the Android update scheduled for a 2014 release. You will get these updates if you buy a Nexus 4, on the other hand, or if you choose to install a custom ROM such as Cyanogenmod.
So my tablet was orginally a samsung galaxy GT-P5113, however I rooted it and everything and now it's a 4.3 GT-P5110.
I rooted it because everyone said it would be better, however, how is limited access better? Did I do something wrong?
I can't download anything that has to do with samsung and I can't even download the samsung app store.
Can someone help me?

Rooting doesn't change your device name or information, it just let's you access your system files. Are you sure that the method you used to root your phone is designed for your specific device?
Galaxy Note 2 - rooted and customized leaked 4.3 stock
At&t Galaxy note 2 - rooted stock 4.1.2
Xperia Neo L - Bootloader unlocked, rooted and customized 4.0.4 stock.

Well, I rooted it and also updated the software. I think it was 4.1.1 or something I updated it to 4.3 nightly version.
When I updated it I made sure it was meant for my tablet but maybe I was wrong. It was my first time doing it.. so...
What should I do then? Is there a way I can turn it back into how it was before? and maybe update the system the correct way?
