How is temple run 2 performance with one X+? I feel there is a lag out there with both stock and custom roms. I am testing this on ATT version.
Please report out your experience playing temple run 2. Being quad core I was expecting zero lag playing it.

There's a little bit of frame rate drop on my AT&T One X+, but nothing unbearable.
For some reason I see lot of lag playing this game with elegancia Rom. Not sure if it requires some kind of setting.

the same way you would do on your computer: enter the game, hit the options menu and adjust the graphic quality
"menu->settings->visual quality"
I'm having an incredible amount of lag, it's almost unplayable.
When the game stutters and the fps drops, the game doesn't process my swipes quickly enough and it ends in a death. My game is stuttering at least once every 10 seconds.
I'm running QX Senseless.
Works perfectly fine with graphics turned to max on my international hox+ on stock unrooted phone.

I downloaded Abduction! and was really surprised to see it lag and "jitter" in anything but graphics settings to the lowest. Do you experience this too? It's a south east asia legend if that might contribute to differences.
Yes me too. It's a shame that a 2d platformer runs choppy on a 600 mhz processor, programmers should optimize it a little

If the phone is the same, we just have different concepts of smoothness
Sent from my HTC Legend using Tapatalk
It runs smooth in my phone.
It depends on level... if you set details at maximum, when there is sun or rain on background it slows down. Check out Hyper Jump: now THIS means smooth, and it has way better graphics
Sent from my HTC Legend using Tapatalk
Tried hyper jump and its really smooth and a lot nicer graphics. Guess it boils down to our definitions of smooth then

Have you rooted yours?
No, I haven't rooted it. However, maybe I should add that I've tested it with the demo version and that I have only played like the first half of the first level.
I'll try advancing further in the game and report whether it makes a difference.

I have a MT3G rooted on Cyanogen 5.0.8. and I get lag too. I tried the lowest settings but it doesn't change anything. This app i just weird on some phones I guess. I don't think my phone is that slow that it can't run a 1mb app properly.
Are you all using the full version? (as I said...there's no lag for me playing the demo....)

You could try hyper jump or the free game papi jump(hasn't such nice graphics but is the same type of game.)

Btw try doodle jump. Its the same kind of game .

Hi, I got the HTC one X+ from At&t today and every time I try to use it it gets really hot, even when not using its still warm. This hapened to the HTC one X international when I had it like 6 months ago so I returned it. And now I wanted to give another try to HTC and still the same problem. I had lot of phones from Nexus one to last one Galaxy note 2 none of them had this overheating issues. The phone gets hot and the battery drains very fast.
Anyone have same kinds of issue?

Do you have some objective numbers for hot and warm in Fahrenheit or Celsius? Everything else is pretty subjective and what is hot for you is maybe warm for me
It gets "warm" pretty fast but what do you expect from a quad-core in a small shell "overclocked" to 1.7Ghz. I think it is similar to the GSII.

48C is within tolerance. 60+ is danger zone and I would suggest shutting off the device and letting it cool if it gets there.
This device doesn't have the wifi issues, I've confirmed it multiple times.
Don`t worry, the phone automatically turns itself off when it overheats and will only turn back on once it has cooled sufficiently, no risk whatsoever, the tegra soc was purposely engineered to hit its maximum thermal limit.
Get hot, yes. Overheat no.
Lol soon we might be buying heatsinks for our phones.

Yes, this is true. If something is using a lot of power and putting out a lot of heat, the battery will get used. What do you want us to tell you?
The best option is custom kernels and underclock/undervolt. Tegra 3 is a pile of crap but it's the only way to ensure that the One X+ didn't become a vastly different device compared to the One X.
It seems like whenever I'm playing game, even just a simple running game the battery seems get to excessively hot. When I have the phone charging and playing a game it can get upwards of 119f. Is there something that I'm missing?

I understand that but by that notion the phone is unusable while charging for any intense application. I previously had a vivid and was able to play intense games while on the charger until the battery was full and temp never topped 100f. Now I play some simple running game for 15 minutes while charging and my battery is at 119f.

Yeah, sometimes mine will over heat, but I was a pretty buggy ROM when it became a problem. When it was stock, heavy use, multiple open apps was causing it to heat up.
I think the plastic back makes a big difference.
I made the switch from one X to SGS3 and overall I think it was worth it. My One X wasn't hot all the time though, so maybe yours is faulty.
For me there's only two real downsides to the SGS3. Firstly, the screen definitely isn't as good. Secondly, there isn't a rom that comes remotely close to what j4n did the the viperx rom. I can't find one rom here that has on-the-fly tweaks even similar to venom tweaks.

By hot you mean upto what temperature??
My s3 goes upto 39° if I play graphic intensive games for long durations...
No problem at all with general usage and browsing for even long periods of time..
Hope this helped..

I have it since Saturday only but I like it. Really fast, really smooth and u will forget incompatibilities with tons of games from play store.
Games runs much better than HTC but well, maybe it was just my problem, some ppl on x+ forum says they're running games ok. S3 gaming framerate is awesome.
And it was not expensive at all

Is there any workaround to make them working?

If the games that aren't compatible are free games, I'd suggest just downloading the apk and sideloading it. One of the reason they aren't "compatible" may be due to the DNA being classified as a phablet by some people (which is the reason why Skype isn't available on the DNA).

Well it looks like they finally added DNA compatibility. If you read through this thread, Skype used to be incompatible with the DNA due to it being a phablet, according to Skype's tech support.

I think the resolution of our screen is an issue more than it huge size. Even though I tried to put an incompatible game apk in my dna and installed, it downloading required data over WiFi but sadly I can see only black screen while playing the game. I guess the game doesn't have texture files that are compatible to our combination of screen size and resolution.

As @Daryll99 mentioned, Tegra devices are known for getting hot. But it is normal and you shouldn't worry about it (even if battery-app-savers will warn you with a battery overheating warning). If you read about the HOX on wiki, you will see that the first HOX with no updates liked to reach even higher temperatures than now .
When I play games, I hold my fingers on the edge of phone, don't know how you are playing. It is comfortable and I don't need to worry about my fingers .
Dont worry about your fingers? im worried about the CPU
