Nexus 10 arrived, broken - Nexus 10 General

I got my shiny Nexus 10, opened it up, fantastic, screen brilliant. A very nice upgrade from the Nexus 7.
I got home and continued to get some new apps installed and had a browse using pulse. I ventured into my lounge, where the lights were a little brighter. I was about to turn the TV on and heard a buzzing noise.
FANTASTIC.
Google are sending me another...
I then made the mistake of updating FB saying its broken already. I should have just posted: APPLE FANBOYS, MAN/ANDROID DOWN, COME GET ME NOW WHILST I'M WEAK.
"Buy cheap, buy twice" That was possibly the best of the bunch.
It wasn't cheap?! haha, ah well.
After owning this for a day, i'm not that fussed about it breaking to be honest, its a minor fault and they sending me a new one. The main annoyance is people/idiots asking me why I didn't just buy an iPad?!
I cannot believe technology has such a divide, a tablet is a tablet, people don't have the same kind of hate for Nike if they are into Adidas, it really has become very sad.
Joined XDA today after using the site for some time and getting my old HTC tricked out. I won't go into too much detail now but I'm EXTREMELY happy with my new Nexus 4 and very happy I can sell my One X now.
Hello all!

Unlucky. Got mine today and it's fine!

Asus are no where near perfect either.. Google Nexus 7 screen lift or Neuxs 7 screen separation.

Nobody is perfect. Both my Nexus 10 and ASUS TF300T are excellent devices. If I held both under a microscope I could find something to complain about.
Everthing today is price, time to market and the stock price. Are you surprised things are not perfect?
Still Charged Up

I'd take Samsung over Asus any day of the week.

This... unless you've tried a modern Asus tablet (possibly non-Nexus since the 7 sounds alright) you dont understand just how bad they can be. They cut corners in all the wrong places, and once you notice them you cant unnotice them.
Sorry that happened to you. Fortunately, many of us can say from experience that the good ones are really good. Far better than those Apple tablets that people seem to be mindlessly swooning over.

I swear to God I am so sick and tired of the same damn question "why didnt you get an iPad, it clearly has way more apps and blah blah blah". Because i dont wanna be paying to do everything on it, thats why.
O well, mine came a few weeks ago and it had a couple of random reboots, but im fine with it as it has no light bleed and it hasnt rebooted it self for a week or over now.

I'm guessing some of you guys never used a Asus tablet. I had the infinity. It was a beautiful tablet but boy does Asus know how to ruin a great device. Everything Asus makes has i/o issues. So when your downloading something you tablet is pretty much unusable. I never sold anything faster then that thing. Then after going to forums on any of there devices they all have the same problem. Lol even their computers.

I have a tf201 and got so sick of it I got a N10. I did like the keyboard, but there were just too many other little things that I could never get to work right. This after 3 rma's for wireless GPS and other issues . I have had this for 4 days and so far I really like it. I am still trying to get everything setup and figured out.
I think, what many people have trouble with is in how they use it. I don't really play games, but I do use it for productivity purposes and I'm reading a lot of books on Kindle or Google Books. What I found disappointing on the TF 201 was that I couldn't use it very well to write on the screen to take notes, which was a big frustration for me, as I don't want to have to type things out. The tests with my stylus on this has been a little better (using my jot pro) .
I think I also like the screen much better over the TF 201 which was a low resolution, something that I feel awful cheated on, because they came out with the tf700 so quickly afterwards with the same hardware except for the screen.

I have the Infinity 700t using the stock rom, unrooted. With the latest JB firmware update, there is minimal lag. Yesterday I downloaded 3 gb of files (The Bard's Tale) and was able to browse and do other tasks. Overall performance, including browsing is good- not spectacular, but highly usable and reasonably fast. Other than using Boat Browser, routinely clearing browser cache, occasional cold booting and disabling a lot of the pre-installed apps- I have made no system changes. Also, I uninstalled the FB client. Mostly because I find it a very poorly developed piece of software- actually preferring the web version.

I did have the vibrator issue with my last one...

Well, welcome! I loved the Prime, and found the vibrator issue to be very minor while I waited a month for Amazon to get me another... Absolutely HATED the original Galaxy S (Vibrant), but the SII looks pretty nice... Not sure I can shy back away from HTC at this point though, lol
Ordered mine on Christmas night from BB.com. Received it on the 27th. Got the dock from the same place about 2 weeks later. love them both.
Galaxy s2 is hands down the best phone i have ever had. It is rooted and is as smooth as silk. I consistantly get quadrant scores over 5000

mine is also amazing. Slight backlight bleed which is only noticeable at boot us the only thing i have to complain about, and thats only coz i was looking out for it.
Battery life is amazing, speed is amazing, screen is amazing, dock is amazing. U was charging my gnex using a usb cable plugged into the dock! Flipping awesome! I discover more and more new stuff to do with this thing every day! Gonna try a ps3 controller in it next.
The only way to actually test the GPS is to completely disable wifi. Google uses all wifi networks in range to find a location. Google has mapped almost every wifi-network on the planet, and even if you just disconnect from your own, it will still use the wifi names around you to find location, even if you arent connected. So to test GPS, disable wifi completely. Then we will see...

Not even you, or people with similar posts 'got a good one'.. you and people like you just have a VERY high threshold for putting up with garbage.. on side by side tests your tablet will be the same as what others call 'broken'...
One man's 'fine' is another man's 'broken'.
Those of us who won't put up with shoddy crap, KNOW how broken the TFP is.. people who say it's fine are just trying to justify their purchase to themselves.. no-one likes to think they have been screwed, but there are some who will go to unreasonable lengths to convince themselves and everyone else that 'their's is fine'.. when it certainly isn't.
How any times have you read a post saying, 'yeah, well that's broken, and that doesn't work very well, and that's not up to scratch'.. then finish the post, I loooove Asus... that's not a reasonable action for a person to take.. that's pure self deception.
Install this, disable Wi-Fi, run the program and post a screenshot when you get a fix.

Really like the positive vibe you bring over here..
For what it's worth the Transformer Prime is usable, it just has a few drawbacks.
and you're only going to find them once you heavily began to use some of it's components that has those defects.
but they can go unnoticed if you're a light end user.
Come to think of it, this across the board on any electronic device. oh well. I still think this keyboard dock sort of stinks at times.
Although it's typing quite normal right now as I make this post. No random type cursor jumps.
I'm already on my third unit and this one again has massive screen bleed, creaking screen and stuck pixels I wish I had a golden ticket aswell.
aren't the screen bleeds common because the device uses the cheaper "Edge LED" LCD, vs the more expensive "Backlit LED" LCD? or am I thinking of ghosting.
I'm not much of a screen guru so I think I'm my own light user case as far as detecting any screen problems. So right now, I feel like I have a golden ticket as far as that category goes.

I don't feel like im putting up with garbage or trying to justify my purchase. I've used it for a week now and I still have another week until BestBuy won't let me return it for full price. So how broken is the TFP? As far as I am concerned, GPS is the only known issue.
In my opinion, tablets are not laptop replacement yet, maybe in the future but not yet. When tablets have 500GB or more of storage, 1GB or more of dedicated video card, 4 GB or more of RAM and a Core I5 or better of CPU then you can talk about heavy use. In the meantime they are for light use.
So I guess I'm lucky too. In my case I don't have any of the mentioned problems. I don't know about the GPS because really I don't use it. I had the Galaxy 10.1 and never used the GPS neither, for that I use my SGSII. I sold the Galaxy 10.1 and bought the TP and after a week of using the TP I'm very happy.

IMO tablets are no different than laptops and desktop computers, there's high and lows on specs in both areas. I think the Transformer Prime with it's pricing and size would fall into the mid-tier range tablet.
the higher end tablets often 12" or larger are much more comparable to laptops. While the Prime is more like a netbook.
Samsung Series 7 Slate
HP TouchSmart Tm2T
ASUS Eee Slate EP121
IBM ThinkPad X220
DELL Latitude XT3
and those tablets aren't doing so well since they cost too much, their Windows OS is not touch optimized like Android/iOS and they offer abysmal battery life, because there hardware is not energy efficient as the mobile CPUs in Android/iOS tablets.
But most of my gripes with the TFP are software related at best, I just think the default browser and the options ICS have on the Prime for the keyboad dock could be better, and the browser interface could be much more optimized had it been designed better. This is not a harp on the hardware, but more a harp on the software.
Now I'm actually hoping ASUS will offer an optional Windows 8 upgrade for it's tablets when Microsoft finally get their act together and produce Tegra 3 based Windows 8.
Coming from an iPad 2, the Transformer Prime has exceeded my expectations for a tablet. Get a gps lock, wifi works fine...great experience. Couldn't be happier.

[Q] Best Android Tablet on the Market

Here is my question, I'm looking for a really good tablet with great battery life and I wanted to get the Vibrant community's opinion as to which is the best.
Please refrain from posting about apple products I simply do not like apple as a company and refuse to give them my business.
I would appreciate it if in addition to your selection you could tell me your reason for feeling why its the best.
- Cheers
I picked up an Asus Transformer (OG-not the Prime) a few weeks ago at Best Buy for $399 (Bob Shute almost convinced me to get the Nook Color though). It was the 32gb on sale for the same price as the 16gb (so why not) + it has external, so i have 64+/-gb of storage. I had lurked in a bunch of forums checking out support, ROMs, rootable, "official" ICS and general attitude of the forum members.
When I got it out of the box it was running 3.1 and I had known that it had an OTA update waiting. Within 30mins of getting it, I had upgraded, Rooted and was on my way to being a tablet owner. It was real easy to do too. The battery life on 3.2.1 was really good. Granted I am not using it all day long but I was getting about 2-4 days out of it. Kids would play games, watch Netflix, I would surf and my wife would do her coupon spreadsheets (yes she is one of those ladies and we do have a stockpile).
Fast forward to the ICS update. We got the OTA update and for some reason there is an issue with the kernel and people are getting random reboots. I am not sure if it is just me knowing what I am doing from so many tweaks with this phone and past ones or I just got a good tablet, but I messed with the governors and it has been 3 weeks since upgrade and I haven't had one yet. Knowledge is Power. Felt you should be aware of that though. Battery life on ICS is outstanding. I get 4-6 days out of it easily. Might cut it down now that baseball spring training has started and I can stream live video to it.
Conclusion- A few things. The Transformer (tf101) is just as good as the Prime (tf201) and actually I think it is better b/c the Prime has wifi, GPS and other hardward issues, but its bootloader can be unlocked whereas the tf101 is still lock for now. Another things is that you have to remember that these are seconday devices to most people and some of the redundant questions you see are rediculous.
My suggestion is to lurk in the Acer, Transformer, Galaxy, Xoom forums and see what is going on in them. Plus there are a bunch of smaller tablets coming out soon with Tegra3, Quad-core, low price,...
HTH and let me know if you have any Q's and sorry for the long post.
what do you want to do with this tablet?

Ill be using the tablet for school mostly. Ill have about 100 lbs of books that id rather not have to carry with me everywhere. Ill also be using the tablet for light gaming just to keep me entertained from time to time as well as serving to replace my laptop for day to day tasks. Granted i know not everything can be accomplished by a tablet so ill still have my laptop at my apartment but need something light and portable but capable so i was thinking tablet.
As far as no apple products, they seem to hate me, i touch one and they seem to break they dont function properly and im honestly not convinced that they are the best product on the market. Their Marketing department tries to convince you of that but i hardly agree. (i wont get into it i don't want this to turn into a flame thread) regardless thank you for your input.
Ive been looking alot at the Transformer and TF Prime as well as the 10.1 inch samsung variants, but since i have ICS running on my Vibrant id very much like to have it running on my Tablet, i intend to run stock for a while until stable versions of either CM9 or AOKP are released for the device since i will be using it in a more productive than leisurely role.
@ woodrube thank you for the length of your post i appreciate the time you put into your response
@junglerumble thank you for your input, tho i whole heartily disagree with you (to each their own)

Transformers have the keyboard dock too with independent battery in case you want that laptop thing going on. I love my TF and am happy I bought it. There are a couple of us who have the TFs like Alex9090, Mveksler, Gorealmighty and Manus I think.

I used several different Android Honeycomb tablets, but gave up on all of them because I felt the software weren't advance enough for my purposes, so I got a Windows tablet instead. Then sold that and got the Galaxy Note (international version) which I think is the best consumer portable device made so far, since it acts as a phone and tablet, has the same resolution as the tablets (1280x800, and is even (much) faster than Tegra2, yet pocketable, has Wacom pen, can make phone calls and ultra fast GPS locking, awesome camera), although I didn't keep it since it doesn't support T-Mobile 3G.
Out of the Honeycomb tablets, I liked the Acer A500 and Toshiba Thrive most since it has fullsize USB connector, which works with flash drive and gamepads. I think the Asus Slider should be better since it has fullsize USB and keyboard as well, just a bit heavier. I do not feel tablets with Tegra2 is fast enough to handle 'higher' bitrates HD contents and MKV videos, although other purposes are fine, regular HD video should be okay. I also feel all Android tablets are overpriced for their present software features, unless at refurb price, if it were Ubuntu or some full fledged linux distro I'd be more interested. Which is why I think Windows 8 tablets will have some success, even though I'm not interested in Windows 8.
+1 OG Transformer. Great device

I want to thank everyone for their responses, after spending some time playing with the devices in store and reading through the developer forums I have decided on getting the TF prime, just seemed to blow everything else outta the water once all the tablets had 100+ apps installed and running live wall papers. Luckily i was able to find one at a local retailer since everywhere else was sold out.
I was so close (money in hand) to buying the Galaxy 10.1 but after reading this I decided on the TF201.
Darn near ever place Ive looked is out of stock though.
addition:
It didn't take much for me to switch. After this phone and its total lack of support, I try to stay clear of anything that has Samsung on it.
Thus far I have to say that my impressions of the tfp are extremely favorable so far I have experienced none of the recorded issues with the tablet save maybe the GPS but I have yet to test it outdoors the stock ics keyboard is far better than I expected on the tablet
I will update more as I have more time and experience with the tablet if so desired

I saw that due to the GPS issues they no longer advertise the tab has a GPS. Imagine if Samsung was forced to do the same for our phone's crummy GPS.
Id expect similar GPS to our phones. I ended up buying a real nice Tom-Tom GPS for my car so the phone GPS is bout always off now.

If and when it comes time to Root your device (I did it within 30mins of having it) You can use ViperMod and install Supercurio's OTA Rootkeeper and any updates you get, just open the Rootkeeper up and restore root. Handy little app if I do say so.
I recently purchased a Transformer Prime with the keyboard doc and I have no regrets. It's awsome. I've not experienced any of the GPS/hardware issues mentioned either.

Nexus 7 pre-order anyone?

Just pre-ordered a nexus 7 from google. I wondered if anyone else has after their experiences with our other asus based tab?
Benchmarks look to be better than the infinity even- on some tests!
I am thinking that google must have tons of spit and polish into this to release it themselves. Hoping for a much better experience on this one than I had on the prime, thinking that the finger pointing will stop asus=>google=>nvidia or nvidia=>google=>asus.
Also noticed that the stupid proprietary asus port is gone in favor of micro-usb!

I will first thing tomorrow morning. too good of a deal to pass up. ive seen i/o scores also. seems like they got it right or has updated drivers n such. might be due to jellybean firmware also.
Look at anandtech & slashgear review of it. they love it.
No chance in hell. Asus has lost me as a customer for good. I just read an article about how they made the Nexus 7 in 4 months. I hope Google was keeping a close eye on them, because I have no confidence this thing won't be a piece of garbage like the Prime.

Asus have had a 7" tablet in development for way longer than 4 months. I suspect the development of the MeMO dovetailed into the Nexus 7 quite nicely.
Ordered my Nexus 7 last night - had an original Galaxy Tab, and I love the 7" Form factor. A 7" Transformer would be the absolute nuts!

that article praises Asus. Google themselves said no other company could pull it off in that time period and make a great device like the Nexus 7 is. Asus is the one who made it happen.
I feel your concern about your prime experience and being skeptical on another product. but its already been shown the 300 is good, infinity pad now toted top Android tablet and everything good on it. then now the nexus tablet. which has been receiving rave reviews so far. it performs better than alot of high end tablets in certain areas. including the prime, 300, and infinity pad.
plus you have Google as the big brother looking over this. the nexus 7 is Google's baby. they will make sure its in good hands. I will be ordering one tomorrow morning. too good of a deal, based on specs and performance, to pass up.

Besides the Asus fanboy rhetoric from demandarin, it looks like a great tab and I can't fault Asus too much since they are one of the few companies willing to stand behind their tablets with active members in these forms and frequent updates( even though the updates have not fixed all of the issues/ made certain things worse). They are trying- and I can't help but feel that it actually does boil down to the asus/ google/nvidia relationship.

for $199 it's going to be epic. Granted, I'm mad it doesn't have an SD slot, but that doesn't matter at that price point. I know the tegra 3 can handle what I want, what is essentially a content viewer.
I'm going to wait before I buy it & see what real world customers have to say about it not tech sites.....fool me twice......
Also I read the 8gb has only like 5gb of free space!

This about sums it up for me.. I refuse to buy another ASUS product outright after my 201 but if there's no major hardware faults after launch and I can find one cheap on CL or something then might give it a shot
I was very excited but that all came to an end with the small disk space and no sd slot. Great a WiFi only device and DEPENDS on the internet for streaming media...
So I can use it in my home or drain my phone battery with the WiFi hotspot.
Please excuse my swypose on my Transformer Prime TF201 using Tapatalk 2
I am planing on pre-ordering once I can make sure I will have the funds to do so.
Considering I was planning on getting a kindle fire soon going after the nexus 7 seemed more logical. As long I as I have 16gb of space I don't think I will really fill it. With all the cloud storage and if the OTG cable will work I won't have any complaints.
Please use the Nexus 7 fora for talking about it.
Closed.

anyone switch or switching to the N7?

I currently use the prime daily and i got my GF the nexus 7 for couch browsing and just to have the latest OTA's all the time. However after using it, I really am liking the portability of the size and the performance is so much fast than the prime. Just not sure if i would miss the larger screen.
Yeah, i plan on selling my Prime soon and getting a Nexus 7!
I switched--but I was having horrible problems with my prime. One nexus 7 for me. One nexus 7 for my wife.

Due to the reputation of the prime and the release of infinity, the price of the prime is below what I'd like to get out of my prime.
I was able to easily get 500 out of my first transformer on ebay, this time around not so much luck.

Probably going to stick mine on eBay and Gumtree!
Mine is going on Craigslist & I haven't seen enough reviews on the 7 to get it. I'm looking at getting a ipad or a laptop.
already purchased one through Google play. UPS showed original scan at Ky hub center @ 9:20a.m. now ups shows my device leaving KY, departure scan, @ 2:09p.m.. so its on "In Transit" status now. will arrive for delivery to me tomorrow. can't wait!
oh and im keeping both. No need to get rid of my prime since i have no issues with it. it works great
I'd love to have both, but I'm keeping my prime. The keyboard dock is far too useful to give up. Besides, I have faith in the devs

yea both sounds like a good idea.
gonna get the N7, use it for a week or two and wait to hear about JB on prime.. then sell one of the 2.
Anyone want to buy a spare Prime?
Traded in my 3G Vita on one Saturday. So far its been an absolute pleasure to own, exactly what I was expecting.
My Prime, not so much.
Sorry guys, but I see no need on having a tablet without a dock station like the asus transformer line. I mean, a tablet without USB OTG,SD and microSD card reader and mouse pad is just an expensive toy to sit in front of the TV and surf on internet while watching at it. I use my prime both at work and while at school instead of bringing a heavy, big, overheating laptop, not to mention the battery life in the prime is way better. I know , the N7 came with a very good price, and I will buy one as soon as they reach Swedish market, but as I said before, for me it will work just as a toy to surf in front of the TV, no way that it would replace the Prime.

Pretty much the same boat I am in. Buying from staples and they have a 14 day return policy (I think). Not sure if selling my prime would be worth it at this point.

I am on it right now and I have to say it just outperforms the prime. Idk if its jb or what but everything is just after on the n7
The N7 doesnt seem to have these strange lags caused by the internal memory speed.
Also it scores way better in the benchmarks...
good thing: it uses the same memory as the prime! on paper the same speed ...

lets hope for jellybean and kernel upgrade anywhere soon!
I think what it boils down to is, get what you want period. If you love the prime and it works for you then keep it, want the infinity or 7 then get it.
Nothing is worse than having a tablet and not want it, or you are dissatisfied with it, for whatever reason. Flip side, nothing is better than having a device and really like it.
The prime really doesn't do it for me, I thought it would (it's still is the best looking tablet out bar none) but it just doesn't. In the end I treat it like a business decision, I thought it would be good and it tuned out for me different. Now I'm trying to sell it and move on.
I started using windows 8 and I knew my next tablet device would have it 8 on it. I like everything about it. I think it's the better OS for me and my situation. I could go on an on bashing Asus, but why? I've found what works best for me. But that's just me...
I owned a Galaxy Tab 7" and a PlayBook prior to getting the Prime, and I'm considering the Nexus, but I found the 7" tabs to be too small for web browsing. Personally, I think the Galaxy Tab 8.9" is the best size.
Plus, it's another ASUS product. (My Prime's currently RMA'd to fix the rear camera issue).
I wish HTC had built the Nexus 7. The Nexus One was the best.

Anyone got buyers remorse?

Hello,
How are you?
I was wondering if anyone got buyers remorse after buying a nexus 10.
I think I am experiencing it a bit...
I got my nexus 10 and really like it's screen, speakers and speed.
It does not however bring anything new to my nexus 7, so I am thinking if I should have spent the money for the nexus 10...
I really don't see myself taking out too much. For portability I have the nexus 7. And to use around the house, it's nice, but does it justify the cost to have another device lying around...?
Cheers

Mmmm that's not exactly buyer's remorse. That's the question if you needed a 10" tablet or not, since you already had a 7" tablet.
I have buyers remorse... I should have never bought the Prime.
No remorse and delighted to have a tablet worthy of the Android OS without any bloatware from manufacturers or telephone companies and timely system updates.
The screen is amazing and the speed is fantastic especially when Web browsing using the Ocean browser which is now my default after switching from Dolphin.
It is great using the Nexus 10 just like a laptop or desktop with no need to install all those Web apps from sites like the BBC, ITV, TVCatchup, newspapers, etc. to view sites as the browser will do. I suspect the proliferation of these Web site apps has been caused by the inability of Apple devices to view the sites properly without Flash.
I am never going back to a 7 inch tablet even though it is more portable for the experience of using a 10 inch tablet like the Nexus 10 is so much better.
No remorse here - super happy with my purchase... now just have to fight with the Wife to actually use it.

I returned my Infinity after a week due some lag in hd video that I thought was just unacceptable for a brand new device. Looking back; glad I did. For cheaper, I got the Nexus 10. I just hope there is some sort of nice keyboard dock to go with the Nexus 10 that maybe...just MAYBE....takes an SD card like the Transformer line. Would be great to have on trips for when I need more multimedia storage.

I had buyers remorse when I got my Infinity because my Gtab 10.1 performed better. I have zero remorse with the N10.
No remorse at all.
I knew that OS wise it wouldn't actually do anything that my Gnex doesn't already do. It was simply a matter of screen size for those functions.
Honestly I'm surprised that someone with a Nexus7 would buy the Nexus 10 as well.
I sold my iPad 3 and purchased a Nexus 7 due to fear of screen lift and crappy Asus quality. Then I purchased it again but I found it really sucked compared to the iPad 3, especially the screen, and it was too small.
I was ready to get a Surface until I saw the price and screen and tegra 3.
I love my Nexus 10. It's amazing and exactly what I was looking for.
While I initially had a bit of buyers remorse. It was primarily due to the fact that my Xoom still worked and did not have any issues, but man, while I dont use it much in portrait mode, it handles so much better. I have no complaints with the weight or the feel, the screen is incredible. Highly recommend, just wish they had accessories for it. I think that it is Samsung weakness and Motorola's strength is accessories.

OP,
I get where you're coming from. The 7 is perfectly usable in all respects. Pragmatically speaking you didn't need the 10. But, you have it now, so, your choices would seem to be either returning it or enjoying the big screen comfort cruise.
I say luxuriate!
Hell no. All my friends keep saying how crap it is cause of lack of apps and not as smooth as iOS but I just ignore them

None here. There are some bugs to work out and fix, but they seem to come and go with flashing new ROMs and such.
I haven't used my laptop since I received the Nexus 10.
None!!! I love the Nexus 10. I am just waiting for more app compatibility with Android 4.2, but that does not make me regret getting it.
I've been still thinking about whether or not I should of chosen a Nexus 4 over a Nexus 10 (I'm still within my refund period for another few days), but meh, still siding with my Nexus 10 decision
None at all! This is my first tablet purchase, and I think I made an excellent choice. Just like a previous poster, I haven't booted up my laptop once since I received my N10. I love the screen and size. I'm not intending on taking it out the house much, so 10 inches works perfectly for me. I'm confident the minor glitches we've been experiencing will be fixed by software updates soon by Google. We just got one today... I'm loving the fact that updates will come directly from Google, with no carrier interference.

AOSP support... nothing like it... for a guy like me, this is the only way to go... Love the device... screen is a beauty... speakers are much better than all other tablets... performance is great (don't trust benchmarks!!)
To be honest, the only times I felt like the nexus wasn't good enough was when reading these forums. I've been extremely happy with the device otherwise, but reading all the complaining can be infectious.
My only complaints would be about the speed of chrome browser (which really surprised me), but I replaced it with Boat, and also the lack of the Pogo cable/accessories. I don't feel like I received a different device than I was expecting.

Love it. Plain and simple. So happy announcement of N10 came within 30 days of my purchase of the Infinity. I returned it and SOOOOO glad I did. The extra RAM comes in very handy. And using dolphin browser has made all the difference web surfing.
