I used to have the Moto Atrix and the dock that emulated your phone on your tv. Is there any way to do this with the Note?
You try an mhl adapter?

Anyone knows if the mhl adapter works with jellybeans roms?

How does the MHL adapter differ from connecting to my PS3 wirelessly using IMediaShare?
Does the MHL adapter actually emulate my phone on screen vs. Mediashare were it just lets me share media? Is there a wireless solution for this?
mhl will duplicate your phones screen on tv. here is a video. it is international note but i717 will do same thing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEb-DICYCgg
Is there a wireless solution for this or only the hardwired MHL?
only wired

Anyone know if there is a deadicated cam button? Does it have HDMI out? I can't seem to have a clear answer on the net. BTW holding breath for today but who knows.

Bluetooth 3.0 will be capable of streaming hd video to your tv so who needs a hdmi port?

someone who owns a tv without bluetooth 3.0. also no DLNA here. anyone know if it wil run a updated bluetooth stack this time around? maybe i can use my keynoard and WIImote without damn root and Cyanogen.
If it has 3.0 the yes its a updated Bluetooth stack
I'm sure they will sell Bluetooth to hdmi hook ups for older hdtvs

What about video out over USB like the Incredible?
I can't seem to wrap my head around this... I have a mini hdmi that I've used for my Evo 4G but how in the hell do get hdmi out for the View? No where in the manual but everyone talks about it online. Is the mhl cable different from the hdmi mini?

Yes the MHL is an adapter box , different vs. the mini HDMI and MHL is required to connect to HDMI.
For example here is an adapter. There are cheaper generic adapters that work just fine as well.

Ridiculous, always a new adapter or cord. Thanks

actually very common, most tablets do it that way including Samsung and Moto
You can get the same adapter at monoprice for $10 I believe

Is there a way to run both cables? With a splitter of some sort maybe? I've searched amazon for a cable with no luck.
Anyone on XDA know of a way?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using Tapatalk
Nope, when I first got the phone when it came out in searched that answer out for months in hope. Finally I just bought a new controller which was why I wanted it. I lucked out and grabbed a ps3 controller from newegg new for 32.99. What exactly are you trying to setup? The one thing I can tell you won't work is trying to get say a keyboard hooked up otg and use the mhl adapter.

I was hoping to hook up MHL and run a mouse actually. So I can control netflix and maybe a few games using the mouse on my tv.

Try using a bluetooth mouse to do that.

Yeah, a Bluetooth mouse a keyboard work for me when using MHL.
I would like to do MHL and USB OTG for playing a flash drive files on the TV, instead of copying it over. But, a microSD card solved some f that.
Bluetooth didn't even come to mind for some reason haha, awesome idea! Thanks guys!

I should mention for the storage bit that there are some apps that can mount samba (windows shared) folders and you can later access data using a media app and stream the data over the network.

Can't make it function
Hi guys I see that you are talking about MHL and OTG...and it seems you don't have probemlms with it on your i777.
On the contrary, I can't seem to make it work....When I plug a mouse, keybord or flash memory....NOTHING happens.
I already searched a lot....some people say it depends on the kernel (mine is Siyah 5.5.1)...some say it depends on the ROM (mine is AOKP 7.3)....I don't know which answer is correct......or maybe my OTG cable is faulty????.......
Please if you know something else that I can do to enable or anything....let me know!
Thanks in advance!
I believe you misunderstood, I explained you can use mhl and bluetooth mouse and or keyboard @ the same time. However that's not technically using MHL and otg cable.

I was wandering because I can play my ps3 on my laptop using easy cap usb plug. Can we plug the easy cap into the otg cable to use DNA screen as ps3 monitor?

I doubt it. That's what the mhl adapter is for.
