Yes wrong section but you're going to have a hard time finding the ruu since HTC has forced htcruu.com to shut down, may I suggest a rooted stock rogers ROM? Try turges 3.6 sense rom , he took the rogers ota stock ROM and rooted it, with some other tweaks

Hello!
I recently purchased a EVO 3D from a member here. Little did i know that it was on a custom rom, rooted and all that non-sense. Either way, I got a soft brick and would really just like to get the stock rom on the phone. Could any of you provide me with a x515a rom? Even a nand would do if considerable. Right now i cannot find a original rom accept for one of the devs on this board via PM, which wants money for it.
A developer on this forum should not be charging you money for a rom, you need to report this developer to the mods.

That was a link to virtuous ROM which is based off the euro version. I was looking for stock Rogers

Yes, after jayv paid football $15, football has the stock rom listed in the stock roms thread in GSM Dev.

Kool! Do u have it all back on Rogers stock now? Did u use the link I shared with you on ur phone? And if so, which one you like best? I'm asking cuz I'm thinking if I should go back to stock or not. Just wish u could change font without rooting!

Went back to stock and rooted it, deleted all the Rogers apps via Titanium backup (im in the US so they dont work anyway). I like stock, ive always liked stock roms the most. Less bugs, less issue and in this case, better battery life. Its always been that case for me tho .

Just a quick follow-up... if I download the original Rogers RUU from the thread and flash that, will it revert totally back to stock? I need to send my device back to Rogers but I had used Revolutionary to get S-Off and also root.
How I can install ractory recovery evo..Rogers...please help.....I want update...bat l have custom recovery.

You aren't being very clear as to what the problem is, what exactly you need help doing, which is probably why you got the response you did.
Don't install a CDMA recovery. Rogers is GSM.
Use a guide in the GSM section to root your phone and install recovery.
I'm just asking cause I'm a nubbin on a Rogers HTC EVO 3d gsm with LeeDroid kernel on Cobra's ROM.
I don't want to hijacked this thread but if someone were to go about putting the phone back to an entirely factory and 'untouched' state, is it even possible? I'm learning about phone modding quite quickly but find myself looking for definitive guides that explain what is layered on what (like is clockwork recovery is on the kernel layer or is it on the OS layer).

HBOOT Version?
How did you get to where you are now?
Did you notice you posted this in the General Section and not the Q/A?
Have you tried flashing any ROM/Kernal?
Are you radios up to date?
A/S/L?

You can chose any rom you like and try it. Just make sure you're using the cdma or gsm version depending on your phone and follow all instructions, some are based on hboot 1.4 or 1.5. Just look in the development section, personally I run MikRunny.

It won't work with the stock mms.apk as far as I know ... You have to use an ASOP apk for it to work... Pm me and I'll help u out

Instead of flaming on someone for posting in the wrong section, hit the little report button. I can't read every thread to know if it's in the right spot, but if you report it, then I can. Also it keeps new users from leaving because of the abusive nature.
I was in the same situation. Wanting my HTC 3D EVO on metroPCS with ICS and all working. (Talk, Text, Data, MMS)

First of all, searching for the info you want will probably help you out. Second, research as much as possible so you don't mess up. And third, go to htcdev.com and follow directions. There is so much info in this forum to help you, and then if/when you're stuck, ask for help.

Use dans rooter in the original dev section, should work fine (rewag_lienad) then you'll need to install flashimageGUI.
Then read om4s guide in his SIG

I tried this with my evo and all regawmod does is freeze. Is there something I can do to fix this.

Go to Meanrom thread there is a link on how to root using HTC dev unlock its actually really simple it should take you to EVO Hacks website just be sure to download the latest twrp recovery when flashing thru fastboot or go to the dirty raccoon sense you are already stock and you can achieve soff saves a lot of headaches just follow there instructions word for word I actually used vista 32 bit even though they don't support it but it worked flawlessly.
