Ohh damn, so i guess i'll have to wait till they get and updated way to unlock the bootloader because i got my phone 1 day after the OTA update and the guy that gave me my phone updated it Thanks though.

i'm using Jelly Bean's 1 so do i have to return it to stock to do all the steps?
I'm not sure ... I thought you were on latest L4 version... Jelly Bean's v1 was for previous version.. Did you take OTA update? Can you post a pic of about phone...

So beans v1 was before the unlock Bootloader.. First exploit.. I believe.. How did you get the new baseband? Did you take OTA update?

yes I took the OTA last Saturday right after I got my phone, but then I had questions about why I didn't have some icon in my multitasking bar so then I saw this jelly Beans and I installed it then 2 days ago I saw a thread about jelly Bean's 7 and then it said I had to unlock my phone. Now idk if I have to return to stock to unlock it or what.

I'd definitely check the new exploit.. Bc in my opinion you are on the new version and you will need to Unlock the bootloader.. Post on that thread as Adam is answering questions..

I one click rooted my sgs2 if I'm not mistaken. I first rooted the phone, THEN I installed CWM.

dont know. I just know i tried to root GB on my galaxy mini trourg soc and didnt make it. had to install CWM an then root it.

Yes it is out. It will be available on kies and ota. If you're impatient check sammobile to download and flash it. Use CSC as INU.

Give a try to the temporary unroot option in the superuser app...
Not guaranteed to work...
Download stock rom through sammobile.com and flash through odin only...

If you already have CWM recovery why not use CWM to flash a custom 4.1.2 rom thats based on Stock firmware (like Android Revolution HD)?
Thats just as easy, has more support, rooted and you'll have future updates faster as well.
I already downloaded omega v34 but didn't flash it because people have lot of issues with it.. Lag, random reboot etc. Stock rom will be more stable I guess..
I haven't tried revolution though...
I'll try it now..

I had the same experience, Omega had loads of launcher redraws and sudden lag. No such experience on ARHD with Perseus kernel. That kernel now even has the exynos exploit fixed.
Nope, all other roms i've tried i never used more then a few hours.

Yeah, everytime you flash the stock image, you'll have to root the phone again... but so what?? I have my mobile sine 8 weeks and i think i flashed it 10times now, and lots of custom-rom installations, configuring the phone etc....
It's not a hard work, you just have to read carefully BEFORE you start rooting, modding or whatever. This forum is awesome and till now i really found an answer to my questions everytime without bothering the ither guys with a question that is already answered a thousand times just have to use the search... so, good luck and have fun with your rooted mobile. By the way, i recommend the Omega-ROM for galaxy S2 and S3, the guys are.doing a great job with their ROMs. If you own a S3 LTE (i9305) i recommend the Pandoriam ROM, works best for me

Has anyone tried flashing this version yet? I flashed the ics version back in the day and it was working alot better than the AT&T version of ics. I'm going to give it a try and see if it works better. Just in case you want to try it as well it's N7005ZHMC1_N7005ZZHMC1 from sammobile.com.

if it was a true gt-n7005 jb rom, I would flash it. It has the same exact specs as our device. Why wouldnt it work?

Maybe customs roms would work but not the official update. Im telling you now. Dont donload and install via recovery/odin.. I would know.. i used to be stupid when it came to logic for android and gave myself a brick..

Padawan is built off n7005 firmware
also the base for padawan is put together by h0tw1r3, but you cant just flash straight n7005 firmware it has to be modded to work on the i717.

This is the Latest update for the above. works with our at&t Note.
I flashed it using http://samsung-updates.com/Odin307.zip
1. put your phone in Download Mode. Plug your device to your computer, open Odin 3.0.7 click on PDA and find the tar file.
Make sure you let Odin finish flashing. Only unplug your device when Odin gives you a message saying, PASS.
Now reboot your phone to recovery and wipe data and reboot.

It doesnt need to be modded. I flashed straight N7005 firmware without modifying it. It does work.

This is the latest version of ics that came out for this model. When they release jb I'll flash it to see if its a better build than the att version.

It's true...a few of Us flashed the original N7005 firmware [without any issues] when the first ICS update came out. It doesnt take any special edits as it's the same device only lacking NFC and LTE. Works so well that devs built a few ROMS from the DXLJ2 base.

The N7005 Rom didn't work on my phone.
I bought a note 2 with rooted 4.1.1 and TWRP recovery. I keep getting the update available notification but the update fails. What do I need to do to get 4.1.2? I'd like not to have to factory reset if it's possible. Thanks!

If the bootloader is unlocked and you have a custom recovery, just flash a 4.1.2 rom like beans.

Beans is a touchwiz rom built off of the current VZW ota. It has a ton of extras and since it's touchwiz you still have full s pen compatability. Try it out, I guarantee you will like it
