[Q] Galaxy Note 2 Custom ROM - Move Apps to SD Card. - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hello and thanks for stopping by,
I am wondering if anyone knows of a Custom Rom for VZW GNote 2 which allows moving apps to SD card.
I am aware of the "directory bind" and the "swap mod" and the "Beans ROM" as work arounds from my searching on this topic.
I am just longing for good old use of SD card - even my SG3 made good use of the External SD.
Now this Note 2 not only seems to prefer hogging the internal SD even putting media files on internal SD - but there is just no option to off load files off to the External SD, not even apps2SD can see the External SD.

Is your memory card a legit retail bought card? Reason I ask is because some eBay/Chinese memory cards are counterfeit, and they do not hold the purported memory. It may say 32GB, but once you try copying 32GB of data over, the card's data is corrupted.

[Q] how to Swapp internal sd for external sd on i717 in GB

help
The "internal SD" is not an SD at all, but a NAND chip on the board. It's just addressed the same way as an SD so they call it that. So what you're asking is not possible.

[Q] Star I9220 - Any Ideas?

Hi chaps,
I recently bought a Star i9220... running android 4.0 and pretty solidly built chinese phone...
It has an odd set up (to me anyway) for storage... it has 512mb internal, 2gb "usb" storage and my 16gb tflash... i have to go to /root/mnt to change what card I'm looking at in file explorer so it seems to have a second tflash card...
now i'm having issues as i've run out of storage on the 2gb memory apparently, and I was wondering if there was a way to move the apps to the sd card (the 16gb one) as when i move them to sd card it appears to be moving them onto the 2gb one...
is there an app i can get for it? I thought imight be able to change it internally but they have these weird cage type things which i can't work out how they are attached over the cards and as i've only had the phone for less than a month i don't want to destroy it... plus the accellerometer is out too....
any help would be much appreciated!!!
Hey brow, i think i have the same problem.
My china phone is A9550 (click here do see my review about http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYoyoWa9wis)
and when i install something like games and app´s with data folders from external sd card (8gb) the system cant load the data of app´s.
Only work when a install it from internal memory (2gb) =(

[Q] What exactly does moving apps to the SD card do?

I'd like to understand more about what happens internally when you move an app to the SD card. When you do this, how does the app know which bits have moved and what constitutes what can be moved and what can't. Does it do something like moving the files and the creating symbolic links to those files?
Then what happens when you upgrade and app? Assuming that it has some parts in the applications partition and some parts on the sd card, how does the upgrade know what files to put where?
Thanks for any clarifications. Feel free to point me towards another thread. When searching I couldn't really find and detailed information.

When you move the apps to the SD card its taking all the files needed to run that to the SD card. I may not be a 100% correct on this but im pretty sure that most System apps need to stay on the internal storage to run correctly and most 3rd party apps (games and such) can be moved the SD card to help free up space on the internal drive.

So in summary what you said is "the files are moved"? Thanks for that.
move apps to sd.
I would like to know where actually does the "move apps to sd" moves all the data, in which directory in sd card.
thanks in advance
The app will be installed in sd card but if that app has obb files then the files won't be moved to sd card cuz it has to be in internal in order to run properly..
