I purchased a samsung battery 3100 oem. How can I know if it real or fake. I compared it to my wife's in the *#0228#. And all the info is similar except for blocks used. Mine was 6, hers 3. There is no manufacture data. My question is that. I'm I looking in the wrong place for this info. The battery does look identical except mine is verizon the one I bought is tmobile so part# and serial are diff. Thanks for any help. One more this I bought from amazon and told seller battery isn't lasting as long as original and he sent another ASAP. So know I have 2. But I still feel like this is a 2000+mil. Again is there anywhere in the hidden menu I can look. Thanks.
Do you got some pics of the differences visualy to compare.

How much did you buy it for?
If less than $20, you probably have a piece of junk that has significantly less capacity than it is being advertised as.
Link: http://batteryboss.org/
Those are some dated devices but don't you think for a minute that these same goons who sold these fake batteries aren't continuing to do so well into 2013. You get what you pay for, don't be cheap.
There is nowhere that gives the manufacturer in the hidden menu the battery? I did ay slightly less than $20 also.
This is the story. Same battery I bought to the tee. http://www.batteryreview.info/revie...attery-for-samsung-galaxy-note-2-ii-n7100-4g/
Dam. Should of knew better. At least he gave 2. I left a review. Hopefully it helps someone else.
I knew it. I'm bookmarking this thread and will gladly use it anytime I see someone recommending cheap sh** batteries on amazon or ebay.
Do you really think for a second if the real product sells for $50, that someone would willingly get rid of it for so cheap? It's just simple logic.
Anker batteries on Amazon are fairly inexpensive and just as good. 3100mah was around $10 when I bought one.
Hell, the 6200mah anker battery is going for 15.99 with prime shipping and theres another thread saying it's great (we'll see for how long though). But yeah that sucks, and yeah link em to this one. You get what you pay for

I bought one before from Hong Kong, it worked very well (exceeded my expectations, especially for the price)...but I'll never use an extended battery on the 3D just because the texture on the back of the phone makes this phone so unique!
you are probably looking at roughly 2500mah actual
bought one, only 3 left
if this is from a "real" manufacturer, why do they only have 5 for sale?
Sumthin fishy here..
2 of the most faked/counterfeit items on ebay are batteries for phones and memory cards.
You couldn't PAY me to put a $15 battery in MY phone.
I ran one and my niece for a year with the EVO... Worked great...

when you get, is there a way to test the true mah ?
would love to know before i fork down $75 for siedio's battery this week
Great! Now I need to decide if this is the battery door I should make a mold for a TPU case around or not. I'm sure seidio and sprint/htc will release their own door as well.

Seidios batteries are traditionally way over-rated as well. My favorite product of theirs is the slim "extended" batteries that are actually less mAh and then the OEM battery I'm guessing this battery will come in at 2500-2800mAh, Seidios will probably be between 2800-3000. You can send the battery to batteryboss.org and they will test it, but I doubt you'll want to drop $75 on a battery and then send it to someone. I actually
have one of these standard size orange white and red batteries and so far it seems good. Maybe 90% of what the OEM battery is. I especially like that is has an Android on it!

$15 battery? Even the OEM batteries can be obtained for less then that. I just bought a Samsung battery for an i500 for $10. Evo 4G batteries are about $10 too. These batteries arent fakes, they arent advertised as being OEM. It's just a chinese brand, and from my testing so far they are well packaged and well performing.
Please make the tpu case for the Seidio extended battery, I love this smoke one I have for the standard battery. And I'm getting the Seidio 4000 this week
I'm getting the seidio "boss" battery, and would definitely buy a tpu case for it. These tpu cases are a gem, so well worth the purchase.

I had 9 original EVO batteries from ebay and they worked PERFECTLY.
Guaranteed they make them in the same factories, just some of them get one sticker, others get another sticker. Maybe they're in different towns, but I'm sure it's the same process and they work great for me. Not like the $60 batteries are made in america - they're made in China as well
These under 20 dollar battery's work.
But for how long
They can last a year but don't be surprised if it stops holding charge/discharges fast/takes long time to charge within a couple of months use
Its like a EverReady battery or those cheap batterys they have at the dollar store
They work but soon you have to replace

you should do a test on the weekend, other threads people say they peel the stickers and the 1800mah battery is marked only 1000mah under the sticker

I bought some laza batteries on amazon thinking they would be 1730mah vs true cheapo ones sold on eBay. Nope. I pulled the sticker off and there it was. Not only that but inside your order is a little note saying $5 Amazon card if you rate and email us once you have. I consider this bordering paid reviews. So don't buy from them. Returning mine tomorrow.
I added a pick to the product gallery if you want to see.
tinyurl.com/amazon-laza-evo-3d
Personally I'm tired of all these batteries turning out to be 1000mah capacity. I'll be darned if I'm carying a Seido brick. Bought an external battery. Newtrent 11000mah. Give me power!
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA Premium App
So the outside of the battery said 1730mah ?
Outside says nothing about mah. Product description did. I'll bet 90% of these batteries people are buying are cheap ones.
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA Premium App
I bought the laza batteries- I get the same battery life out of them as I do with the OEM
Not me. I tend to believe the manufacturers stamp vs the sellers word. Why else would it be there? Secondly Laza's sticker doesn't even state the mah. The charger took 5 hours to charge battery vs 3 stock charger. Plus they are paying people to give reviews. I reported them to amazon and hope they get pulled. Their seller track rating is also pretty darn low.
Odd just checked the listing and now they are $10 cheaper and are sold by Laza/dailypc vs Laza. Maybe I'm seeing things but I think seller name was switched because the feedback last time I checked when returning them was like 75%. Anyways, still a crappy product. Can't trust the reviews on there.
Ok so I went through seller feedback for Laza/dailypc and don't see mine in there. So i do think they switched sellers on this product.
I'll stand by my comment to avoid Laza.
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA Premium App
O hm...they did say to avoid non-official sellers cause they were being counterfeited..perhaps that can be a possibility?
So I recieved one of those ebay generic batteries with the Black and white leabel yesterday.
it was marked 2600 mAh rating.
I peeled back the label to see whats underneath. Much to my surprise there was no casing! Its just a thin plastic frame around the outside. The cell inside did not even take up all the space. there was 1/8" X 1" thick strip of foam along the length.
I'm not gonna rip open my OEM battery but damn...I'm sure the Samsung isnt like that!
So after a full charge, the battery life was pretty dismal. 2 hrs of light use, no games, brought it down to 60%. then i went to sleep. in the morning it dropped to 33%. from that point i went down to zero after 1 hr of web browsing, sitting on my desk.
i'll upload pics later
EDIT: just slapped in the 2nd fully charged battery. its down to 87%. i took like 3 photos and nothing else. FAIL
not all generic batteries are suck!
i bet your generic battery is lighter in weight?
Anker battery weight the same as oem samsung battery.
i havnt used oem samsung battery after i got my Anker batteries.
I should specify ebay ones. Yeah i ordered a pair of ankers and a charger this morning. I however did see some nice looking battery cases with 3500mAh ratings, kind of like an external sleeve/backing.
however this makes the phone even longer and thicker, but not as gross looking as the 5000mAh double sized batteries. sadly, they are in the $45 range
EDIT: like this
http://www.aliexpress.com/fm-store/...laxy-Note-i9220-GT-N7000-Galaxy-Note-LTE.html
i wouldn't buy from here tho. seems sketchy

why should they not capitalize on people who look at only price and not quality? they sell crap because people buy it, and they know that you wont pay to ship it back to China for a refund. See they can ship to the US for nothing our postal service delivers it and we get the increased postal rates. Now if you purchased from a real American business you would have a better quality battery because American sellers cant get away with that crap.

I don't find the logic in such a stereotypical post.
I bought similar...from a US seller...shipped from the US. ...same result...crap batteries
Seller did refund half of the purchase price and told me to keep the batteries.

HHHUMMMM you spend $10 and .....
complain it is a piece of crap, not sure if you know you get what you pay for in this world. Continue to go cheap and you get cheap at some point you have to spend money for quality. Not saying the most expensive is the best, but do your research and buy the best bang for the buck vice the cheapest for the buck.

go look at this freaking loser review on amazon. he spent 14.99$ for 2 batteries and charger, that is like 5$ for each item. And he get pissed off cus the charger takes too long to charge compare to samsung charger.
that is like getting a kia and get pissed off cus it' not as smooth or as comfortable compare to Mercedes!

That, and his second battery was defective? Don't be overly biased here.
I have 2 Anker batteries and they seem comparable to my OEM's. No better, no worse. Hopefully in time they will still perform.
They aren't even broken in yet.
In the end, they will still suck, but hopefully not that bad. I wouldn't try to use your camera with flash on using an aftermarket battery though
EDIT: Also some gentleman was selling OEM note batteries, wall charger adapter, and a USB cable for 20$ shipping on eBay. I picked one up, it's perfect, and a steal of a deal.
well ive been trying to cylcle them a few time turning EVERYTHING on and maxing brightness etc.
still. felt like i opened a big bag of chips and finding it only half full. Im curious if others found the same thing in "better" batteries?
EDIT: I fully knew i wouldnt be getting the full rated mAh as i just wanted cheap, backup batteries. I've bought many of these before, but never opened them till now.
These batteries have since been retired. Do yourselves a favor, buy the "Anker" brand batteries. Theyare as good as oem and cheap too. Under $20 for two including a stand alone charger with usb output and 600mA.

I was looking at extended batteries and i originally found one at acessoryswamp (search 3500MAH Extended Life HTC Evo 3D Battery i can't post the link) because it looks legit. I really don't want ot pay 10$ and get ripped off so i'm going to bit the bullet and pay a little more.
Then I found this on sale (again can't post the link search "HTC EVO 3D Premium Extended Battery with Back Cover (3500mAh Grade A Cell) By HHI" on handhelditems.com
it seems almost too good to be true. Seeing as how i have never bought from the site, i really can't confirm that this is on sale, or if it is a fake battery with a fake sale to get people to buy. Has anyone bought from them before or preferably this battery and want to tell us its the real deal? It just seems too good to be true that its a real batter on sale for 10$
I highly recommend the platinum x2 extended batteries. They're made by Seidio, even says so on my battery. Normally found at best buy for around $70ish. I just bought one on amazon for $20 as well as some other things to get free shipping. I've been using the battery for a week now and it has been great. It has 2 bad reviews on amazon and don't see why. One said the phone got hot. I don't see how this happens either. Mine is in a otterbox defender and hasn't gotten warm.
As I'm posting this I have 17 hrs on my battery and 80% battery left. I've sent 24 texts and used 60 mins today. I paid $75 at best buy for my platinum x2 for my original evo 4g. I'm thrilled I got a great battey for so cheap. Especially what I paid for my last one. Even at $75 it was worth every penny when you need your phone for work. Here's a link to the one on amazon I just bought.

I can't comment on the battery in question by the OP, but I have shopped with handheld items in the past on more than one occasion and have never had an issue with them. They do ship USPS though, so that kinda sucks.
I have been waiting for a battery/charger set from a reputable company to become available. It looks like TrendOn is the first. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LZWPY9O?psc=1 I have never used this brand, but they have a lot of good reviews on Amazon so I am pretty confident that they will work good.
I order mine from there
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-LG-.../131250478881?ssPageName=ADME:L:eek:U:US:3160
It's $57.50
The battery has all Korean characters.
Let us know how it works. And what reviews were you talking about. Reviews on their other products?
Give us your feedback bro
looked around amazon for this brand "trendOn" looks like they have pretty mixed reviews with note 3 and s5 users...
I will certainly let you know how they work. It seems like with the reviews they are mostly real positive. With a few getting bad batteries, in which case I will just return them. And some of the bad reviews are about the charger which we all know is a cheap charger. But all in all, they have more than 4 stars so it is a pretty safe bet that they will be alright. And I get 2 batteries and a charger for less than one oem battery. Plus, it seems that these companies aren't that concerned about how soon they get their batteries to market so I feel good that I bought from the first company to have a good set at a decent price.
Alright, I have had these batteries for a couple of days and they work great. They seem to be as good as any other including the LG batteries. Maybe better. The charger is slow but is better quality than I am used to when buying these sets and it certainly charges fast enough. It charges at 600mA. Someone else put up an unboxing video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gr5VHHCeleY I'm really glad I bought this brand. I doubt there will be any better and they deserve to be rewarded for being first to market. I think Zerolemon said end of September, come on.
Edit: The current price on Amazon is $70. I'm not sure what that is about, cause I got mine for $30.
