[Q] Problem with Dolphin HD browser

Does anyone have problems with scrolling windows in Dolphin HD?
eg when I'm in Hotmail, the window won't scroll down at all, just displays as many messages as fit on the screen, with no obvious way to scroll down. Have also tried using the gesture to scroll to end of page, but the browser doesn't seem to recognise there is more to the page.
No problems, but I'm using Mini version.

i have had it happen randomly. luckily, going to portrait gives me more page space, and zooming still works
Same problem in Google Reader.
I have problems time to time, with specific web pages.. but those pages have problems with Windows 7 & Firefox also
It's because of embedded java or flash crap inside web page.
Edit: Scroll works in those pages after you zoom it bigger, also links don't work before zoom..
There are some problems with scrollbars in Android. If you have a scrollbar into another scrollbar (for example an iframe) one of these scrollbars won't work. They said it's for make a better surfing experience

I belive that Dolphin is utilizing the base stock browser for rendering, and the scrolling problem also happens with that one. (I've seen it on Android 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2 devices so far.)
A workaround that usually works is to zoom in the page a little, and it should then be scrollable...

[Q] Browser shortcut resets after reboot

I'm on rooted V10a(german stock) with the touchscreenfix kernel. I mostly use the Miren browser and put a shortcut in the dock on the homescreen. My prob is that every time I reboot the phone it is back to the stock browser shortcut. It is not that big of a deal since I reboot rarely but it is still bugging me and if possible id like to change that.
Thx
I changed Miren to internal memory and now it works. If someone has a clue how to make the shortcut stick while Miren is installed on SD card id like to know that.

Tab key in alternate browsers?

Does anyone with the keyboard dock notice that the tab key doesn't work in alternate browsers? I've tried Opera, Firefox, and Dolphin, and tab doesn't move between form fields like it does in the stock browser. The Enter key doesn't always submit forms the way it's supposed to either. Only in the Stock Browser does everything work.
I thought it might be Thumb Keyboard, but it's happening even when I switch back to the default Asus keyboard.
Anyone see this or know how to fix it?
same here
would love a workaround or fix!
It works fine for me when I use the stock Asus keyboard. I use Chrome browser.

I think he means the tab key on the keyboard dock. Not the asus virtual keyboard. I had the same problem, but I usually end up using the stock browser anyway because I miss having the dock browser key working.

Yep. I'm saying when I use the keyboard dock with the Asus keyboard selected I can tab from field to field. I normally use Chrome browser or ICS broswer+ but here is a video of me doing it on Dolphin HD. Shift + tab to back up a space wasn't working but I didn't test it out on any other browsers.

[BROWSER] Default Zoom

Hey there,
I have a found a setting in the stock browser which allows me to set the Default zoom level to "medium", "close", or "far".
Problem is that the browser doesnt remember these settings.
It works for one page but then if I refresh or visit another page it resets to "far" again. When I check the settings it's actually still set on medium, but it's not really working then...
thanks
ps: using ICS Browser +

Browser settings on stock browser

I have no settings option in the stock browser, I can't use text to reflow on Web pages, I can't clear cache, change default homepage etc.
Running Android 4.1.2 stock XXELLA rom.
Below I've attached a screenshot of the options available.
Can anyone help? Thanks
why not download a browser that has those features like boat:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.boatbrowser.free
Have you tried scrolling the menu down?
Underneath Brightness there should be Downloads, Print & then Settings.
Cheers.

Can't believe I missed that, its not very intuitive. Didn't expect it to scroll underneath since menu only comes up part way up the screen.
Thanks
Your welcome
Took me a bit to find that out as well, thought they removed settings from stock browser so installed Xscope Pro then one day when messing with stock browser & ticking request desktop site made the menu scroll.
Cheers.
