Dude, what are you talking about? More information please, what does it look like (don't say yellow), where is it exactly, maybe a screenshot? If you flashed an unsecure kernel and you mean that yellow triangle that appears when booting up, use Triangle Away by Chainfire, Search from Google Play (it costs) or from here, XDA forums where he gives it to us for free.

You are talking about an yellow coloured box that appears in the middle of the screen no matter how many times you reboot the phone?

Get it replaced or flash with custom kernel\ custom roms !
Try flashing with a new kernel/rom. I do not think that any software could repair your problem. TBH I tend to think that your device is faulted and your best option would be to return it to the seller and demand a new device...
This topic got resurrected!
Can u guys suggest me a rom that can repair the yellowish screen.

I have had this problem since i have had the phone (about a year) it has definatly got better and is definatly not there all the time any more. I find it happens when i turn the phone on after being off for over an hour for some reason. It used to be there all the time on my phone exept when the brightness was turned right up.

May i know where u experienced the lag? how serious?
It was simply unusable. The only solution was restarting. Even after a factory reset wasn't helpfull. Now I have a new device. Until now all is ok. Fingers crossed!

Bricked. JTAG?

I flashed the LQ6 Modem through CWM. It flashed successfully and I rebooted but the phone got stuck at the Siyah load screen. So I hard rebooted. Screen went black and now absolutely nothing works. Screen stays black no matter what. Computer doesn't pick it up at all. USB jig does nothing. :/
So unless there's someway I can revive it from here I guess JTAG is my only option.
My friend might be able to get me access to a JTAG box. How exactly do I go about unbricking?
Btw, does anyone know of someone in the San Diego area that does JTAG service? Thanks.

As already stated in OP, USB Jig does nothing, so no download mode.

Any others? I'd prefer something local to San Diego (quicker turnaround) or instructions on how to do it with my friend's JTAG hookup though.

How come nobody is shocked that these things are happening every day? How is it even possible that the phone is bricked if he is using safe kernel such as Siyah 4.x? Is there any expert that knows what the hell is happening?

There was only 1 siyah release that did it and the developer pulled it just after an hour, and siyah has been safe since then. Due to that incident, most custom kernels are safe now since the developers are aware. Only Samsung stock is unsafe.

That is exactly what I'm talking about - OP is using safe kernel (siyah 4.x) and still he managed to brick his device while flashing modem from recovery. How did he managed to brick his device if he is using safe kernel?

Something else must have gone wrong because his case doesn't look like a typical emmc brick bug issue.

I have Anker batteries with the external charger so I know the battery is charged.
Yup, I was running Siyah 4.1.2 and a CM10 nightly. Worked fine until I flashed LQ6 and rebooted. I don't think it's emmc - at this point I'm chalking it up to a bad zip.

I was thinking the same thing too.
So does anyone know if I can use the RIFF software with a different JTAG box (not the RIFF box)?
Or anyone know of a reliable JTAG service in the San Diego area?
Sent my S2 in for JTAG service. Hopefully it comes back good as new!
Btw, I used cell-dr.com. Can't beat their price!

Any ideas how I can recover my photos and texts after JTAG?

I also bricked my sgs2 i9100. Tried everything, nothing worked. Finally came across MobileTechVideos.com for JTAG Service and send my phone to them. They really did a great job . I am able to see my phone working again and surprisingly all my data were there. I think you should definitely give it a try if your phone is completely unresponsive. :good::good::good: to MobileTechVideos.com

[Q] [Troubleshooting] Huge problem with rooted S3 (Stock ROM)

Alrighty! Play Store on the PC says that my s3 is AMT Samsung GT-I9300. Sometimes even without the AMT in the beginning.
No paid apps are showing, VERY many apps are incompatible. Started two weeks ago, rooted 4 months ago and haven't done anything like that after that!
I will say more info after some small hints or (try this and that)
So what phone model do you have and what firmware .
Have you searched Google Play problems and fixes .

GT-I9300 4.1.2 Baseband I9300XXEMB5
What firmware was the question as this sort of problem is often not a genuine phone .
Baseband is modem .
jje
to see if it's fake just check if the Samsung features are present

Only thing I can say about my phone is that it's stock and has been rooted once.
