Get it replaced or flash with custom kernel\ custom roms !
Try flashing with a new kernel/rom. I do not think that any software could repair your problem. TBH I tend to think that your device is faulted and your best option would be to return it to the seller and demand a new device...
This topic got resurrected!
Can u guys suggest me a rom that can repair the yellowish screen.

I have had this problem since i have had the phone (about a year) it has definatly got better and is definatly not there all the time any more. I find it happens when i turn the phone on after being off for over an hour for some reason. It used to be there all the time on my phone exept when the brightness was turned right up.

All the phones out there are like that, don't know if that's a fault or a feature. So NO problem. The fact is, You will get used to that.
Regards.

Did you buy the i9100G vampire edition?
Jokes apart..if its hanging under sunlight, its probably overheating or if you've enabled auto-brightness, some problem with that. Try holding a flashlight on the light sensor and see if it hangs when the screen brightness changes.
I don't know if its a common occurrence with the G version. You could try asking in the i9100G forum. Might find someone with a similar problem.
Good luck

Thank you for the reply, i think it is the problem of auto brightness. I have unchecked the auto brightness option and i think it is woking fine.
I think it is software related problem, is there any way of rectifying it.

Couldn't have put it better myself
Also, yours is a G variant. Be careful if flashing firmware. Ensure you have the firmware for your variant itself. You can download it from sammobile.com

Hello, i was having the annoying problem with freezing touch screen when my phone was in bright sunlight. After 2 months of experiment... I found the solution. I really hope that will work for you guys as well.
So the only thing i did after installing ALL the custom roms and kernels available i did found the Gold one
I download the latest Official "Iran" ICS build for i9100g from sammobile.
Details>Iran 2012 October Android 4.0.4 I9100GJPLPB I9100GOJPLP7
And now my phone is not afraid of sun again Good luck guys let me know if it works for you too. :fingers-crossed:
same issue
Actually I loaded the Morocco firmware which is 4.0.4 also but still have the same issue ....!!!!!!!!! Could anybody confirm if it is totally solved in Iran's firmware !!!!

If you can get into recovery mode try the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1703488 you might be able to install a stock rom.

I had the same as you mate.
There is nothing you can do at the moment.
There are several guys with this problem.
When you try to flash a rom, odin gives you a pit file error, right.
The battery is not charging,right.
You can't pass the first screen, right.
I brought mine to a repair center and they say the whole screen must be replaced,WTF.
Cost:216 euros.
I wait for a solution here on xda.
Perhaps JTAG helps

Isn't it a 2 year warranty in NL? How does that "suck"?
painterceessie they told me that it was most probably the motherboard but after talking with the very big tech person there he told me even if it was a boot-loader problem they have to change the board for me as my device is not from the the same country coz they cant write a new boot-loader "samsung rules"
and after checking my IMEI number he told me they will have to get an approval from samsung something office anyway and after asking and asking and asking if it was stolen or something like that he told me no . . . thank god he really scared me
to clear things up i got this unit as a gift from someone in samsung "friend of a friend' before the official market date
im looking for someone that has JTAG to try and fix this
but for your unit i dont think it would be the screen if you can go into download mode and see it then the screen would be ok . . . i think

I have JTAG, but like you said, it will not help. There are very little chances to repair the boot and write the emmc. And you don't realy nead an JTAG box to try to repair it. But it can't be done at home also .

You have warranty so that would not be a problem unless your binary counter shows that you have installed something on it

I'm no expert but if we take the worst case scenario it would be that your memory is dead
I would try to flash a Rom with 4 files and see what happens
What kind of S3 do you have international or US ?

Dude, what are you talking about? More information please, what does it look like (don't say yellow), where is it exactly, maybe a screenshot? If you flashed an unsecure kernel and you mean that yellow triangle that appears when booting up, use Triangle Away by Chainfire, Search from Google Play (it costs) or from here, XDA forums where he gives it to us for free.
