[Q] Problem after upgrading to Android 4.1.2 - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Some days ago I have upgraded my system to Android 4.1.2 and since then I have a weird problem. There's a website that I cannot access through any kind of browser (I've tried both the default browser and chrome). Otherwise, I can browse through any site or use my Internet in any way possible. The aforementioned website is accessible from the PC, other phones (even with Android), etc.
Had someone else had this problem? Is there anything else (besides downgrading) that I can do?
Thanks,
Alex

[Q] Question on Power Rom v1.1

Hi everyone. May i just start out and say that these forums have been a massive help with tech questions that i needed answering, you guys have huge amount of knowledge. Anyway, sorry for the egg sucking, my question is, has anyone had problems upgrading market place on the Power Rom v1.1. The version which is supplied on this rom is out of date and i need the latest MP so i may gain access to my other accounts.
When i replace MP and then run it it just closes down.
Any help?
Thanks,
David.
You posted in the wrong section. Go to power rom thread and ask the OP to get better answer.
Hi, I tried to post in development section under power rom but I need 10posts b4 I am allowed to post in that section
I believe the "problem" is because Power Rom has removed the market updater apk.
Have you tried downloading and installing the latest market.apk manually?
Thanks for the reply, i downloaded the latest version and it seemed to install correctly but once i tried to open it it FC. i also cleared the cache and data under applications to see if it would update it self without any luck. Seems like this rom has probs i think with market. The reason i wanted to update market was so i could access different accounts which at the moment using the old MP this is not available.
Cheers,
David
All is repaired in new update

[Q] Can anyone who rooted Samsung gt 10.1 (3g) (Android 3.2) share your experience?

Hi guys, I am new to this forum. Also, I have been using android for a few weeks now and you may classify me as a noob even though I am very experienced with other platforms such as: Symbian, Windows phone, Mac OS and Windows. I got my first android device which is a samsung galaxy tab 10.1 with 3g which I upgraded to android 3.2.Well, it is a pain in the ass to remove some apps and not to be able to change the clock rate. So I have decided to root it. It is very hard to find one tutorial when it comes to my OS version, and there is no one who shared some thoughts after they have rooted their devices. Will there be any issues? Will I receive further updates? Is the system stable after the root?
So guys and girls, share some experience if you have the same device and the same OS installed.
Welcome aboard!
For rooting start here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=15693193. It provides a very easy way to root your tablet. There you will find also some basics about cwm recovery, which you also should flash either by rom manager apk (from play store) or through odin (a windows program used to flash roms to the tab). All info is in the previous thread. You can't overclock just by rooting. Flash a different kernel. Look at pershoot's thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=15022459. Before you proceed search Google as to what rooting basically is (well, root access is like administrator rights in windows). Bear in mind that there is a 99.99% chance that your warranty will be void though! Post here any question you might have after reading! Have fun

[Q] Sero 7 Pro stuck Smart screen

I've talked to Hisense support and they suggested a factory reset, which I did several times to no avail. I've never rooted any phone. This tablet will not boot past the SMART screen. I can get into the factory reset/RECOVERY screen. I have the tablet and an 8gb microSD card at my disposal to try to get this thing going again. I'd like to take it back to out-of-the-box/factory OS/ROM, but I really am not sure where to start. I've read through some of the posts, but most of them mention going into the Settings and turning on Development/Debugging. Mine will not boot, so I can't go there (although it may have been turned on before it booted). I'm not at all opposed to putting some other "standard" ROM on it. It belongs to my wife and she uses it for the typical stuff - browsing, email, Pinterest, FB, Instagram, text messaging, etc.
Where do I start?
Thanks in advance to any replies/help.
USB connection
When I power it on and connect it to my computer via USB, it installs "MTP USB Device" in device manager. Not sure if that is helpful or not?

Samsung Galaxy A3- Towelroot or Kingroot? ????

Hello everyone, my laptop is terrible(almost dead at that) so I don't have general access to rooting through pc techniques. On top of this, I would rather not go through that process and instead use an on board rooting app. I tried towelroot (I use a SAMSUNG GALAXY A3), and to no avail. At first it gave me the phone not supported message, so instead I attempted to use the codes to do so. When I did, the make it ra1n button went orange and the application stayed in that state with no response. So I have a few questions.
1. Is there a way to fix this? I am trying to root fast so I can use the Xposed framework.
2. Is KingRoot a viable option? Is it as safe as towelroot, and will my phone data remain after using it? It seems safe, but I'd rather not take any risks currently.
Thank you for reading this, and thank you in advance for any help I receive.
