i have xperia sola and and i put sd card inside it and it told me " checking sd card" then nothing happens and i cant see the sd card folder and I AM NOT GETTING ANY MORE SPACE as if the card is not inserted
any help pleeaase
Try other sd card to see if its device problem or card problem.
Also backup card data on computer and format external storage from device itself.

the phone doesnt show any sd card at all and i tried the card on other phone and it worked! and tried another sd card on my sola and as always it says checking sd card but then nothing happens and there is no external storage at all
Hey mate, which f/w are you on & are you using a custom rom ?
Possible that the reader for Sola is busted?

i just flashed a new rom and it worked, i dont know what was wrong with the old one but when i flashed it again it worked

Try dialing *#*#7378423#*#*, go to Service tests>External Memory (if you are on ICS already - I don't recall GB having this option). It should be able to detect your microSD card as "Inserted/Mounted".

The update is not released yet for my phone.
I think returning my phone to the store is my best option right now.

Also works on Gingerbread.
I dialed that number and folowed the steps and it says "memory card status : Not inserted".
Gues it's a hardware problem then?

my wt19i wont mount any sd card i connected the phone on the pc to take some photos and in the moment he did a restart and when start i get a noftitaciton blank sd card i did factory reset hard reset , flash the firmaware but he donte mount the card i took a new card and the new card wont to mount but the old sd card work fine in another phones i dont now what is the problem plsss help meee

my wt19i is on stock GB rom, i rooted it, installed Link2SD, created partition on my sd card, linked some apps to the sd card..
and then i decided to flash my phone to stock ICS.. it succeeded though.. but my phone can't recognize the sd card anymore..
i flashed it again to stock GB, formated the sd card, but it still the same..
I have the xactly same problem. Last night I tried to flash AOS 4.4.x to my WT19i with no good. So I reflashed with last working CM (CM9.1) with 4GB flash inserted. I reflashed, set the phone up for the first time, connected with facebook and installed couple of apps (I have not moved the apps to card - all were in the internal memory). But toady in the morning, I bought a new 8GB sd card and wanted to replace it. And here the problem starts.
When I inserted the card into the phone, it said that the card could be removed. When I look into settings>storage, I see "mount sd card" option. When I click it, it goes grey for a sec and then BOOM, "mount sd card". I tried returning back my old 4GB card, but I still see the "mount sd card" option. Simply, the phone stopped reading any sd card.
Even the recovery cant read the card, which I think is a major issue - I cannoit reflash system, since I cannot access sd acrd in recovery.
Yes, every card I tried IS working - tested on other two phones and three computers.
So I think, is it a hardware issue with the card interface in the phone?
Hi all, I never used SD card on my phone yesterday night put up the SD card it was working fine and till then.. But after connecting PC it got detected and I transferred files to it.. But later after removing from PC the contents I copied r gone from the ext SD card... I rebooted it appears again i connect and remove from PC its Gone!! Do i need to reboot the phone after copying the contents!?

try formatting the Sdcard(external) within the phone, after that reboot ur phone, then connect to pc and transfer files and see
Format the sd card and then copy the files you backed up to the computer maybe you did something like hitting the wrong button on somewhere...

To format external SD in your phone,
Goto, Settings - Storage - Erase SD ( make sure you are erasing your external SD, you can use the size to confirm)
Or do it in CWM recovery

Lately there is been weird issue with the sd card .The sd card is unmounted automatically and at random times displaying the message "sd card unexpectedly removed " in the notification bar.Though it can be mounted again after removing the battery and putting the sd card back in the phone again.What could be the problem?? is it with sd card?? the sd card slot?? the firmware?? please help..

Did u change anything? Kernel, Rom, Firmware version?
U can try to copy all data from sd card to PC, format it and then copy data back to sd card.
Maybe this will fix it. If not it seems to be a prob with sd card itself (Hardware)

yeah I had used many kernels ROMS .etc etc but reverted back everything to stock and unrooted
HTC wildfire S, i have partitioned the sd card and stored application on it with link2sd , not all only those which have no problem after moving to sdcard, it works 2 days but then cell is not detecing the sdcard, it saying external memory is in unknown state, or format sdcard, is there any solution ?? PC is detecting card , means card is okay..
Try to remount ur sd card if it doesnt work try to take a backup of ur card an format the sd card.

Remounted several times and also formatted it but nothing helps , I'm using cm-10-20130103-4.2.1-NIGHTLY-marvel and for internal memory increment CronMod-INT2EXT4+_signed, internal memory is fine , SD-card is still doing same problem
HI, I upgraded to stock rom version 11.0.9.0.QFQEUXM and now it cant find the SD card that i used in this pone before uppgrade, I have tryed to put in anoter SD card but it dont find it, I tested the SD card in my computer and it was no problem it work and all the files were ther, I formated an other card and put in phone but dont find it, If i take outthe SD card and insert a second sim card it works no problem it is just the SD card that dont work I have tried to access the card in TWRP but same there the SD card is not found.
The SD card is detected if i put it in an other phone works fine
Anybody have an idé of what is wrong? can it be the hardware that is broken?
