Galaxy s2 + portuguese - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I bought SGSII from taiwan, and doenst bring my native language (portuguese)
Is there a way of updating or install a language pack?
thanks in advance

I suggest you go the sammobile and download a rom for your region.
It will make your phone work more efficently and give the proper language pack.
Adding a language pack alone for a new user, is not easy as it involves making changes to several different areas of your phone, for which you are not ready to do yet.
You need to do some learning by reading and asking questions before attempt that kind of modifications.

Change Rom Language from Chinese Language to English Languag

Hi,
Last week I bought O2 Xda II (IMEI:351938003270010) from Taiwan and this product include Rom Chinese Language which is difficult for me to understand. So would any one please tell me if it is possible to change this Rom language from Chinese to English Language and if that possible how can I do that?
Pleassssssssse heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
we can trade, I don't mind mine in Chinese
Thanks baboyako, for replay put I still want to know How can I change the Language.
:?:
the language can only be changed by changing to a rom of the desidered langauge
Thanks Rudegar, and I agree with you that the best way to change language it can be by changing the rom, but I heard there was some people upgraded their O2xd II by other Language like from German or France Language to English Language.
So, I am look forward to hearing good news about this subject.
by changing the rom
or
by 3th party software which
1. hack the rom replace the hardcoded text in it to text of another language
2. capture text when display'd and translate it to the other language ?
the 1. would require the hack to know all texts in the rom and possibly all programs in the extented rom aswell
2 would also have to know all the texts to have translations ready and it would require extre cpu time making the device slower
are you sure they just dident upgrade their xda to a rom with a different language ?
it does sound much easier
Thanks Rudegar,
And I am very happy to charring me this problem, and about your qustion, last week I tried with my friend to upgraded my O2 xda II by English Language (UK) rom upgrade, but did not worked and always gave us massage Error Code 120.
Regard to a 3th party software is not free and I will try to buy it as soon as possible.
and do you Know any other free program can help for changing language instead of 3th party software and do you know some one has an experience at the same problem?
I've done that job serveral times. Just get the ROM you want, use ER2003 to modify it then install.
if it's the country code error then this thread is about that

Hi hungdu,
Would you please explain step by step how did you do that ?

Upgraded - now language mix?

I was very hesitant to flashing the ROM on my T-Mobile Vario II. From what I've read on the forums later versions increase speed and just make it better device alltogether... so I went for it.
Now I've SIM unlocked it and flashed it with the latest UK version of the official T-Mobile ROM. It used to be Dutch, but I prefer my PC's and devices English.
However (not sure why, perhaps due to some installing from the extended ROM) now I have sort of a mixed language device.
Date is in English, 'today' items are in the list in both English and Dutch. Windows menu is in Dutch, but function buttons (on the bottom bar) are English again.
Will flashing another ROM help in this matter and, while on the subject, what would be a good ROM to use... to be honest I'm a little lost in all the information available here. Can I just pick any and flash? Don't want to have to make a post in the 'I bricked my device' thread

[Q] How to add a new language to Android?

I've flashed a rom and now I only have European Portuguese (wich is horrible for brazilians, if you guys don't know).
I've googled a little and a lot of websites say to use an app called morelocale2.
Well, it didn't work on Ace with Brazilian Portuguese. At least, it didn't work on my phone.
My stock rom had Brazilian Portuguese. So, there must be a way of putting it back again.
The question is: How?
Search for another ROM that supporr Brazilian PT and install it , same thing happened to me !! there is some EU ROM that support BR PT and some other Don't have it the Q is witch one have it ? not sure so get to search or try..
PT-PT rules

[Q] Titan from AT&T and european ROM?

Hello,
first sorry for my english, but i`m from Germany.
My Question: Today i became a HTC Titan from AT&T America, without unlock, but with Branding and only english language.
Is there a way to flash a European Rom to this phone, to become other languages, like the German one?
Thanks for your answers.
By the way: When i postet in the wrong forum, please put it in the right one.
I'm not sure about flashing a european rom, but there are other languages in the windows phone oem updates under developing and hacking. They come as cab files and you use a pc app they provide to install them. That's how i got my latest update, and i had to install the language files with it. Ask in that forum and i'm sure they will help you.

Add US English to stock Europe ROM

I want to use US English on my phone but all the European ROMs (downloaded from here) only have UK English available.
I don't want a custom ROM, they seem bloated to me and I don't need the extra features.
After many unsuccessful attempts of installing the 0409 language packs from here, I reflashed my phone to earlier versions of the system and tried again. I managed to install all the necessary language pack versions, up until the current version of the system, all of them installed properly, yet the language didn't appear in the phone's language menu. Heathcliff74's "Version and Language" app didn't find the language either.
I'm desperate, can anyone give any advice?
I know it may seem like a minor issue, but I'm sick of "favourites", "dialling", etc. Surely there must be a way to add US English somehow…
