I'm trying from three hours to deodex my ROM without success.
My brain is gonna be melted if i don't get help soon
So,
I've tryed xUltimate v2.4 and xUltimate v.2.3.3
and it goes all well until the third step where i get errors with all the APKs (and I noticed this happens even at other ppl with jb)
i searched and found no other option than the manual deodexing, apart from this.
Anyway, I really can't even try that right now...
Is there a quickyer/less mind-****ing way you know?

Thank you! Anyway I found a simpler way... There is a tool made for the I9300 deodexing...
For anyone that will be facing the same problem :
Just search "deodex i9300"
Will add the link as soon as I reach my pc!

Okey, to begin with, this thread may be around somewhere, tho i doubt it, cause ive been searching over the internet for more than 2 hours. Please don't post comments like: Noob use the search button. It may be even so nooby that everyone already figured it out but me, and im just stupid. You can also say that if thats the problem
If it is somewhere already, please show me where and ill be very grateful.
My problem:
Normally, with all my themes, it came out nicely zipped, and all done for flashing with xRecovery. But tripnarc came out as a rar file. I extracted it with winrar, and then zipped it. I put it on my Xperia X10. Then i rebooted my phone. I chose install custopm zip in xRecovery. Than i get an error (bad) and the installation is aborted. Does anyone know how to make this work?

are you sure its a rar file, and not just the icon is. Mine is a zip file when you right click/properties on the file.

Mate,are you talking about a rom or a theme? Cause tripNArc is a rom..not a theme!

Roms, themes ^^ Im a very big noobie, and the title shouldve been Tripnarc Rom.
Oh and i flashed it, but it kept rebooting, it says that it shpuld rebpot a few times but this is the 21th time so im getting abit worried :/

Take care that you have the right bb..and if you can..try to crash system server in dev tools..anyway if you want tripNArc rom i suggest you to try newest version on modaco forum..there you can find version 1.0.1 instead of 0.9!

Oh damnit, just realized something. The landscape mode won't work on TripNArc :/ All the games dont work, is there any way to make them work?
Landscape is glictched cause arc screen is 4.3 inch instead of 4 inch of x10..no way to fix this by trip! That rom is not ready for daily use imo..and trip is too busy with miui and can't fix this rom! I like it too but i tried many times to use it but there are too much problems and bugs!

I rooted my phone and flashed a custom rom which does not have this APK. Can someone please post it of send me a PM for it. I need this and cant seem to find it in my titanium backup or here at xda

No prob. Glad I could help. A couple of weeks ago i had the same type of post and well eventually I nand back, saved it and then flashed the newer ROM and applied.
Parse Error
If any one gets parse error as I did, try putting the apk on the root of the SD card and using appinstaller from the market to install it. Worked great for me. Hopefully this helps.

mmm, never heard of that happening. For me it was just as simple as clicking on it and letting it install. (running CleanRom DE) But glad you found a way to make it work though

If any one has an issue w/ a reg install ( click on the apk using file manager of your choice) let me know what ROM your on and I'm sure I can figure it out and for the last person (your the only one) but that is a good thing bc I can figure out why it didn't work out for you as I really do like to solve stuff so send me your info, rom, etc.... and I will try to replicate the issue so I can make sure no one else has that issue...

Running CleanROM 2.8, however, I believe I tried to install while running DE 1.2. Couldn't figure out why it didn't want to go. I am the only one I know who got that parsing error. But, that was the one, simple way I got around it and figured I'd share it just in case.

Hi there, have someone here tried to activate the on screen buttons for xperia s using the following document:
[MOD] Enable Xperia S on-screen buttons (Stock ICS 6.1.A.0.452) on the development section? cause i tried, however it did not work, i am running last version of Android 4.0.4 with unlocked bootloader and root as well, I followed step number 3 just to replace the original file as it is explained on the post, right after the phone rebooted by itself and as a result i get a bootloop. I would apreciate any help that you can provide to me

Or you use the CWM file (last page, reuploaded. Or you paste the file on the /system partition, set permissions and then move it to /system/framework.
Framework-res.apk is propably one of the most important files from the entire Android system.
MMM ok, i think it would be easier to just install the ZIP file with CWM, however file is no longer available on your post, it seems it was removed from Mediafire server, so you think just by setting permisions i would be able to achieve the goal?

First, this mod isn't mine. I just re uploaded it. Second, I'm only 15. I can't drink a beer yet As much I would like to recieve, I can't take it for two reasons lol: No Paypal account for me and I can't take money for you But I appreciate that!

As far as I know you need a modified version of Apktool to get it work. Checkout RootzWiki, there is a nice guide out there.

using the latest version of APK Multi-Tool and everything works like it should
decompiled a lot of lsj apps with it without any problem
maybe you should try it as i also think its one of the most handy tools arround :good:

I'd like to ask somebody more proficient than me to modify/create/whatever to get AOSP jelly bean lockscreen
there are numerous entries in xda forums about that but it seems I'm too dumb to follow it - there's always something wrong.
example links I've found for S2 JellyBean but can't follow:

Just like you I didn't understand anything on those two threads!! But since this is for S2, it may or may not work for S Advance... just wait for some expert to answer you..
Why don't you give Holo Locker a try.. I used to use it when I was on GB...

It consumes your battery. I tried to make that one work, but no luck. When I transfer modded file to my phone I got same thing like before.
I follow four different tutorials and none succeeded, we must find the specific form for SGS Advance.
That seems easy. Try using Virtuous Ten Studios. It will save a lpt of time and help in debugging.

successfully edited and compiled android.policy.jar file - I'm trying to follow mirko_ddd's tutorial
but no luck decompiling secsettings.apk - I know it has dependencies on framework-res.apk and tw-framework.res but I can't find any option in the program to force that

SECOND EDIT:
I finally managed to decompile secsettings, followed mirko_ddd's tutorial, recompiled and exchanged the androidmanifest.xml from original .apk as otherwise system claimed not to have the app installed (ie. you couldn't enter settings at all). so, the system boots fine, everything works fine, except there's no change, so still no way to toggle AOSP lock.
currently I'm at loss, can you share any ideas with me? ofc if you'd like to take a look I'll upload the smali files I changed
