[Q] How can I un brick my Note II - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II and I bricked it. I had it rooted and the boot was unlocked. However I flashed a nightly, using Oden, and when I turn it back on i get the message that there is "unauthorized software and to take it into the nearest verizon store. I can only go into download mode and recovery mode. I can't find the saved restore of the ROM I had before flashing the nightly so I can't recover it to how i had it before. :crying:

Follow the directions in the top post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2118348
I know the message you have. I know what you're trying to do. Just follow these steps and your phone will work again.

Says "MD5 Hash value is invalid" and the recovery is downloaded as a XZ file so Odin is not able to find it to use.

If he can get into recovery why has no one asked him if he can just download a rom and transfer it to SD?

Well good point he could try a stock ROM. The problem is that with that error message you can't get into recovery so something is not adding up. I didn't notice he says he gets into recovery because again he shouldn't be able to. However it really is resist to just Odin and stay over.

[Q] Stuck after root.

Hello,
I've seen so many people having rooted phone, so I tried it by myself. The problem is after doing all the work using Odin 1.85 the phone is stuck at booting up process with the yellow triangle on (I know where the triangle comes from). I have tried flash the device and it didn't work either. The phone does not allow me to go into the recovery mode. I've tried to install the original ROM but without any changes.
Is there any way I can get it up without the service?
Get the rooted stock from the development forum. follow download directions.

So that means I have to go to the developers section in the forum, download the ROM and mount it using the Odin ?

Thank you, but here is another problem, I went to the link above as recommended and followed everything which went fine. Proceed after step 10 to Adam's unlocking bootlooder. I got as far as loading the image with Odin but when I went back to Casual nothing happens and my phone has a loading with a Green Droid. Casual doesn't do anything like the video where it shows downloading.

Bounty AT&T Galaxy Mega i527 Firmware

Many of us on the root bounty for i527 forum are stuck because we can't find anyone with our firmware. We have exhausted every method we can think of to pull it from the phone with no success. I would like to start a bounty to anybody that can post a downloadable file of the AT&T i527 Firmware. SamMobile was not able to track it down. Please refer to the i527 root bounty thread for more details about what's been tried.

Yes the root browser only really works on rooted phones but I have looked at every sub folder as well as did a adb pull from the whole phone so far nothing.
i know this is probably a really stupid question, but i'll ask anyway. Has anybody tried plugging the phone up to a computer and tried like the mass storage type thingy?

Now that there's root for the 1527 for at&t is there a way to get the firmware download now for Odin. I bricked my mega trying to achieve root and need the Odin stock firmware for the at&t Samsung galaxy mega. Any help with an answer would be appriciated. I would rather just get the firmware download and fix it myself in three minutes instead of sending it to Samsung for repair for two weeks

I would post this in the root bounty forum. Believe you need a tar.md5 file for that. They have already pulled the files, think it's just a matter of compiling it. It may be a couple of days before we start seeing things like flashable files for odin or twrp and so on.

I come bearing gifts!
Heres an odin flashable zip and an update.zip created by titanium backup on my phone containing ALL apps on the phone. Also includes a racing game, zen pinball and jurassic park builder. Dont judge me, I get bored easily
The files are in my rapidshare mirror HERE: http://rapidshare.com/share/3301D942B7B1499334B91982428C46A0
To pay the bounty, PM me your amount and i'll send donation instructions. I'll also attach the odin recovery zip file to this thread, but the 'update.zip with apk's" file is too large to post here

Reset for warranty?

I need to unroot my phone and do whatever else needed to be able to get my note 2 replaced. Some quick google-fu turned up references to doing such a thing, but no tutorial. Anyone have a link to files and instructions ? Stock rom and kernal, just rooted.
Droidstyle's guide. Section 1b, use the vramc3 file and pit in Odin. Then you are good.

[Q] Restoring a hard bricked GS3 and rooting it.

Alright I'll just start from the beginning since this is just a long chain of ****ery
Rooted my GS3
Installed TWRP
Installed Carbon-JB-NIGHTLY-20130824-0816-D2VZW which is a 4.3 JB rom.
Attempted to install Revolutionary S5 V3 and KK gapps package at the same time.
Hard bricked my phone.
Used this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2581166&highlight=system+software+not+authorized to get my phone to get to Odin.
When attempting to boot phone outside of Odin it just stated that it was running not supported software (unlocked padlock that says custom)
Went onto Samsung and downloaded a Stock 4.3 rom and flashed that with Odin.
Started phone up and was unable to use terminal emulator (no root) to continue with fixes in above thread.
Attempted to root using saferoot, unsuccessfully (updated kernel can't do it).
Attempted to root using CF-Auto-Root-m0-m0xx-gti9300, unsuccessfully.
Attempted to root using Kingo, unsuccessfully.
I do have Samsung Knox :crying:
So now that you're all up to speed to where I'm at, long story short, I need root access on this phone. It has no power button so I lock the screen with a root gesture control app. The back and menu buttons are non functioning so I use a custom UI that adds a back and menu button to the screen. Can ANYONE give me a way to get root back on this frankenstein of a phone? I've never changed a kernel before and I supposed that'd be my next step since I can't saferoot with the kernel I currently have and any thread that explains how I would go about doing it at my current state of ****ery
All help appreciated!

You are in the wrong forum and flashing the wrong files for your phone model, hence why you've bricked it and nothing works.
