Hi everyone,
First Post, checked and no similar problem is found so far, please direct me if there are any
Here is the situation :
I rooted my Razr at 4.0.4 OTA, installed Bootmenu and installed Eclipse 1.5 as my second system.
Then I set that boot will automatically reboot into my second system.
Couple of days ago, my phone automatically updated my SuperSU app, and since then, I lost root and cannot use boot menu manager anymore.
I tried to reboot and entered stock recovery, which is the only recovery I am able to enter now, then wiped the phone, hoping to factory reset it, and nothing happened, my phone still boot into Eclipse instead of Stock.
Then I tried to unroot (using the option provided in SuperSU), then nothing happened.
Then I tried to re-rooting eclipse using the root tool from the Eternity Project (the one key root tool), and despite it does install SuperSU on Eclipse, I don't have root (saying that I do not have root binary) and cannot use Boot Menu Manager.
In short, I am trapped in my second system and I do not know how to gain root and access to my stock system again
I have a GSM Razr that is upgraded to ICS OTA, should be the AsiaRetaileng.03, I can't remember it exactly since I cannot boot into the stock system now.
Please help!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Solved, downloaded a fastboot zip that is compatible with RSD Lite in the website of Eternity Project, flashed it under stock Fastboot mode, now it's good as new again.
Just one thing, I can only find a European Version image, whereas my phone is a Hong Kong Version (Asia Retail), now my phone says it's EuroRetail, but everything else worked just fine.
Does anyone have the 4.0.4 Asia Retail image?
Much thanks.

Still kind of a semi-n00b, but here's my issue:
I was previously using my Atrix 4g on 2.3.4 and was both rooted and unlocked. I also had full access to Clockworkmod Recovery (through the app if I remember correctly).
I updated to 2.3.6 and rooted the phone again, but this time I cannot install Clockworkmod Recovery. I thought Motorola unlocked the bootloader with the latest update, but maybe I made that up?
Anyway, just wondering what I have to do to get Clockworkmod Recover on here now that I'm rooted with 2.3.6.
Please help. Thanks!
Did you install CWM thru RomManager or something like that? Have you tried to install Rom Manager and install it again? Have you tried holding the down volume button when you restart to see if you can get into CWM?
Is UNLOCKED written on the top corner of the boot logo screen if not i think u will have to flash the pudding file to make unlocked bootloader working again.
I tried installing through the ClockworkMod app. I did try all the basics - uninstalling, reinstalling, etc.
The phone does not show unlocked any longer. I've looked in the forums and unless i'm looking in the wrong places, unlocking the bootloader on 2.3.6 seems much more advanced than it was on 2.3.4.
Why is that?
I decided to flash a factory image since the GPS was not working anymore with whatever ROM I tried, plus random problems. The phone was previously set up with CM10.1 and BMM.
Installed RSD Lite, Moto drivers, downloaded several stock ROMs.
From the factory recovery mode I cannot flash any of those zip files so I proceed with RSD lite. I flashed "9.8.2O-124_SPUEM-14_S7_USASPDRICS01O2UKE1007.0R_USASPDRJBO2GB_P013_A012_p2b_S1FF_fb.xml.zip" which is a retail UK JB image. The phone shows the very first boot screen (red logo) and then the screen goes blank. The computer still sees an MTP device, though only in device manager.
I've tried installing other images but they are an older type (ICS I guess, 01.6.7.2-180&01.6.5.1-167) and RSD shows an error while trying to flash the first file from the archive.
Oh, I still have the "Customer error: contact dealer" on the first boot screen, I think this was from a ICS to JB upgrade with CID deletion(?).
I've already flashed twice using RSD, deleted cache+data, rebooted and left the phone to start up for ten of minutes, don't know what to do. RSD lite reports that flashing was ok.
been there

Did you erase CID?
if you did yo need to boot in a different way
U did a factory reset in stock recovery? U cannot flash a ics image after flashing jb via rsd. Try again jb EU image than go to stock recovery and perform the wipes
Tapped from my RazR
Got it "fixed", finally. I had to go back into the stock boot/recovery menu and choose "BP Tools", last option from the menu and then it booted normally.
I still have to do this after each reboot because it boots to the black screen: hold the three buttons together until it flashes (which means a hard reboot), let go of the power button, press power button again while the other two are still pressed.
On the plus side the GPS started working again after factory reflash which it was kind of expected since the same chip is providing also WiFi and bluetooth which were running fine.
I have a root question: the device was rooted with the virtual machine procedure but after a factory reset the root was lost. I had saved it using Voodoo RootKeeper and the app shows: superuser installed, device rooted, /system supports root protection, protected su available. The "root permission granted" checkbox is disabled though and no application is able to retrieve the root. The su binary is in both /bin and /xbin so I don't understand how it can not function.
Edit: ok, got it, the su binary has -rwsr-sr-x and the owner is root so random users cannot execute it. I also cannot change the permissions so I probably have to root again and figure out a way to keep the root after a factory reset. It makes sense to install BMM since it can take care of permissions.
Hello,
I bought a Motorola XT910K off ebay without realising what I was getting into.
It worked fine, but refused to update OTA even though an update was available from 2.3.6.
So I tried to install safestrap to boot CWM ; now the phone boots to the safestrap screen, but it's scrambled, so I have to "blind" select options.
If I choose to bypass safestrap, it boots to "M logo", and then, after a while, silently reboots.
Please help! I would like to either update to ICS or restore to stock 2.3.6.
I have tried to download stock ROM 2.3.6, but apparently all firmware files are at sbf-developers.org, and cannot download from this site (nginex error).
Current status:
- Phone can boot to recovery menu (AP Fastboot, etc)
- Battery OK (Factory cable)
I have tried various links for over a month, before posting this; please be gentle!
regards,

Hi did you got any solution I am having same problem with my XT910K
Okay, let's start from the beginning after I bought my new Cubix Cube CX100...
The first time I ever tried to root this was using Kingo ROOT. But then, I realized I couldn't play Love Live SIF when I'm rooted. So, I tried to find solutions like installing SuperSU from Chainfire and 'hide root', but it didn't work. It needs binary updates that when I try to, it gives me an error "Installation Failed, Reboot phone". So, I unrooted my phone to play this game.
Oh, I tried accessing the Recovery Mode and found a menu, but I didn't get to try anything because I still have less knowledge in this.
Second try is when I discovered the xposed framework's rootcloak, so I, once again rooted my phone and tried this option. By this time, I experienced a loop on boot. The way it loops, the logo shows animatedly but doesn't stop looping and the music keeps playing. I pressed my volume keys, and somehow, I successfully boot my phone. But yeh, the rootcloak didn't work either. So, I uninstalled the RootCloak and xposedframework. and unrooted my phone again.
One more option I found is Cydia Substrate's RootCloak plus. It didn't work, either. And once more, I unrooted my phone.
The next event is I discovered a page about flashing my phone's firmware.
guidemehub.com/2015/09/cherry-mobile-cubix-cube-stock-rom-firmware.html
I skipped to rooting the device and found another way to root it using KingRoot (I don't know the difference between KingRoot and KingoRoot, though)
Once again, I tried rooting this phone and using the SuperSU but still, it did not work.
I was talking with my friend about Rooting, and he mentioned CWMs and TWRPs which my eyes came across. And luckily, I found the branching thread in the same site about CM Custom Recovery.
Once again, I rooted my phone using KingRoot, and as the instruction provided, I used RashR flash tool. I selected and downloaded a preferred custom recovery and flashed it (CWM I chose). After then, I restarted my phone to recovery, but I couldn't. It directs me to the Cube booting, showing logo, and directing me to my phone as if nothing happened.
I again downloaded the original stock rom from that site, and re-flashed my phone's stock recovery. But didn't work, either. And so, I unrooted the phone and didn't try any other options now.
In the present, I talked about rooting once again with my friend, and told me he uses Framaroot. So, I downloaded it, but to my bad luck, when I pressed Faramir (or any of the three), it shows me:
Exploit Result
Failed ... Try another exploit if available (Error #9)
And my friend reacted in a way that the error was unknown to him. And so, he told me about Mobileuncle Tools and about its available tools for android.
When I pressed the Update Tool, it says
Check start Safe Flash update ZIP(NULL Package)
Cant find Update ROM in SDCard
Analysis update package end
And another thing, I found the Recovery Update tool in this app. So, I pressed it and showed me a list of custom recoveries such as CWM and more.
I picked CWM, of course. And downloaded the img within the program.
And so, I tried flashing the recovery within that. After trying so, the app restarted me to Recovery mode. My phone restarted, and when it booted, it boots directly to the system, like nothing happened.
I tried shutting down and using the hardware keys (Volume UP + Power) to access recovery mode, but I couldn't do so. Now, I'm looking for solutions to access my recovery because if I can't, and if one day my phone corrupts, I can't access recovery... I found some tips like using adb fastboot flash recovery or something, but still I'm not sure and I want to confirm.
So, can you guys recommended me some ways to restore my stock recovery or just change the recovery directly to CWM? Sorry for the long story, I specified every single thing I have tried so far and I'm thinking that I bricked my recovery just from keeping on Rooting and Unrooting, or one thing that changed it is the RashR tools.
Join the group in fb for cubix cube that's all I can suggest.... So you could get more infos and guides in t/s your issues with your phone.

I guess I fixed it and all... I'm now running Samsung S6 and PhilzTouch Recovery... ?
Hello, I need a little advice on getting my phone working again. I got a new Ramos MOS1 Max today and rooted it via Kingo PC software. I checked to make sure it was rooted using RootChecker and it said it was rooted. I was reading up on what to do next and some sites said the next thing you must do is to make a backup of your phone via TWRP. I installed the software and then attempted to use the "reboot and create backup" functionality. The phone rebooted and I was in the Android system recovery menu. I didn't see anything like what TWRP was supposed to show, so I just rebooted via the standard recovery screen method. Now when I try to start the phone, it gives me a logo, then ARMPHONE and it hangs on that.
I've tried wiping my cache partition via recovery menu and rebooting, but no dice. Next they suggested to do a wipe data/factory reset, and since I just received the phone today, I decided to try that. After doing that via system recovery menu it still wouldn't boot past the ARMPHONE screen. I don't have a lot of experience with rooting and modifying Android devices, is there something I can do to fix this? I've installed the android SDK tools for my version of android (5.1 I believe), but I don't know how to proceed. Is there a stock image I can use for this phone, or can I just use a vanilla android image?
Thanks in advance.
