Installation
Please make sure you have Aeon's Small Apps mod installed before installing this theme (you don't need to have the actual small apps applications installed; just the framework)
Make a backup before moving the apps into the system partition, in case you get a bootloop.
Delete DefaultThemes.apk
Download the zip file from the download link below
Flash via CWM
If you would like a different accent colour, download your accent of choice from the attached zips below and flash it after you flash the main theme.
If flashing fails, extract each file separately from the zip file and move them to their correct locations, changing the permissions of each app to the following:
RW-
R--
R--
Click "Show Content" for a visual example
If you are getting a bootloop after flashing V. 2.20, try moving the framework.jar first into system/framework (or flashing it separately), clear dalvik cache, reboot, then move/flash the framework-res.
Please Note
This is intended for stock ROM. If you are using any ROM, I will not help you solve your issue if you get a bootloop. You are responsible for your own backups.
You should have apps from 2012 and/or 2013 Xperias, and/or modded 2011 apps installed to fully see the theme. Stock 2011 apps will not take advantage of the theme, as they are not written with the Theme.DeviceDefault theme. Click here if you want to download some 2012/13 apps

After I finish with HDPI I will begin a port to MDPI. When the time comes I will need MDPI users to help test since I don't have an MDPI phone. But not now.

Tested on my Xperia Mini MDPI, working perfectly, but have error: Sound Enhancement and Setup Giude FC and auto reset when i try open Sound Enhancement, plz fix it and can you make for me a version without onscreen buttons and 3 dots menu
This mod is very nice, I've always wanted my phone to look more like high-end xperia phone rather than stock holo like nexus
I have some suggestions :
with the systemUI, can you replace the button clear with something smaller, maybe icon instead of text, one some languages like mine - vietnamese, the date is quite long and may get overlaped or stay too close to the clear button. Also the toggle icons are a little small, some like the vibrate/sound or bluetooth toggle should be bigger. There is no setting toggle on my neo.
With the framework, I hope you add more color to it soon as white in some parts seem not easy to distinguish, and I almost cannot see the small I/O text in the round switch
If I don't have Pandemic's setting mod, how can I disable on-screen button
And I also hope this mod will be compatible with the upcoming firmware 4.1.B.1.13
keep up your good work:good:
Re: [UPDATE 1/31] Xperia Z Framework Theme & SystemUI [V. 0.20]
Working fine on UHD 2.0.3 Rom in Neo only thing I notice is the white text in search bar in playstore and when writing messages. But that is maybe because I'm on custom Rom otherwise everything is fine.

I will try and mod a framework-res that is not part of Pandemics mod so they won't have on screen buttons and menu button.

The SystemUI date issue... I know how to make the clear button smaller, so can you send me a screenshot of your SystemUI so I can see how long the date is?
The thing with the settings toggle is that you need the right QuickPanel. I will send you the one I am using, but sometimes the Settings button won't show up in the list of buttons to enable and disable. It took me a couple tries when I first used TK's SystemUI.
I was working on adding colour to the images but for some reason it wouldn't compile :/ I will investigate it further today.
Like I said above, I will mod a framework-res that isn't part of Pandemics mod so you don't get OSB if you're not using his mod.
Even though Jader provided .13 which is great, I won't rebase my mod until it is officially released by Sony.

I noitced. I will see if I can play around with the text colour for holo white apps, since the Play store is holo white.
Edit
I noticed its also on other Google Apps which use the same holo theme. YouTube and Maps are affected, and probably all Google Apps.

Did some work today on both framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk. Take a look at these screenshots:
Finally got the switches into circles! (Thanks Till-Kruspe!) Unable to change the font colour for the moment. I also decided to go with serajr's 4.2 SystemUI. I can't SystemUIPreferences.apk to open up anymore though...
Before I release this update I need to ask soumya_digi if it's ok to use the SystemUI since he ported it to HDPI.
Looks great but i think you should edit the blue bar under toggle buttons to have glow effect similar to this

Here's my DefaultThemes, I edited it from the one from Thilinac's old rom to suit my own need quite a while ago so it only gets Cosmic Flow wallpaper not new Xperia Z's ones
The launchers and systemUI I guess you have to ask Till-Kruspe or DdcCabuslay for it

Now my xperia mini pro sk17i is complete with ics look.
Where the wallpaper which is displayed above I don't see it with any theme.
Can you please upload it here it looks nice.
Here you are
Thanks you so much.
Great job!
But is it possible to delete the brightness bar in the notifications?
Sorry for my english
Very nice theme, but I would also like a version without the brightness slider and another smaller battery indicator in the statusbar. I found a little bug and that's the ongoing title text in notification area is black and hard to see, it should be white like the other notifications. But good work mate
Sent from my ST15i using xda premium
I will try to use Xperia Nero statusbar customize mod to remove the brightness slider
EDIT - I tried to use this mod, but it causes so much problems with 30step volume, and you won't get swipe notifications anymore. Suspended, for now.

I will check for another battery indicator that fits well (maybe a ICS battery indicator with percentage number in it) on the them
Can you please give me a screenshot of your bug? I don't have this problem (maybe it's because you are using an app that needs to "Invert Notification Color", like PowerAMP?)

It works on our phone...not only does it work (I tried the SMS app also) but it works BRIlliantly..it's gorgeous...thanks!
it works great on mini..what will be in new version..thanks for your great effort
Next version will be the port to ICS ROM, when it will be released.
Works pretty great woth the Active too. The only issue I encountered was that I have a SystemUI.apk that is made for 4x4 app drawer, and this one is 4x3. So I had half an exrra line going below the app drawer background. If you're willing to make a framework.apk that supports the 4x4, it would be awesome.

Is not better to use another homescreen replacement?
I tried using Home.apk from my rom (the Xperia ray ported homescreen) but the alignment of the icons in the drawer isnt handled by home.apk but from systemUI.apk (at least that's what i can imagine since framework.apk and home.apk are replaced by the ones in your zip). So if you add a SystemUI.apk, not necessarily a 4x4 one, you will eliminate all the compatibility issues that might occur with people not coming from a completely stock ROM.
Just my 2 cents. I love the effort you have put into making this. It's not just a simple theme change it's a visual overhaul.
BTW i didnt get a Reboot menu with the theme. I dunno if you have implemented it or not, just noting it out.
There is just reboot option in power menu, nothing more.
Acording to homescreen: catch the screenshot and paste here
There ya go. I dunno if you had implemented HTC's icons for the apps, but it has kept the ICS ones i had previously
Scratch that. Im a complete retard. I hadn't erased data on SE home app so thats why it was like that.
The quick panel icons are very blured, fix them please. Great work as always.
Lol they are meant to be blurred when off.

Did You ever saw HTC sence interface? This is the special effect for quick panel icons taken from HTC sense.
If You don't want them just replace them with others...
## 2012-03-19:
- Applications: Datamonitor, Google Quick Search, Gmail and You Tube updated to the latest versions
- Modifications in Phonebook contact photos (last screenshot in first post)http://forum.xda-developers.com/editpost.php?do=editpost&p=23806815
- Replaced text selection PNG for text input (thanks dumraden)
For a more Sense like UI you can replace the Text icon when you long press your finger.
This is what it looks like:
I have changed the following files in framework-res.apk
text_select_handle_left.png
text_select_handle_middle.png
text_select_handle_right.png
with the Png below. The left and right are a bit off, but the mid one is spot on and looks really nice. Could be a little bigger though. Consider adding it.
(I took it from an HTC explorer ROM, the HDPI version of it looks way too big)

Instructions
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for anything that happens to your phone etc etc flash at your own risk
Always make a nandroid backup before flashing anything including this theme
Aroma installer is known to occasionally freeze on the DNA, you know its finished when it asks you to reboot
Download AospDNA v3 (If using TWRP please flash TWRP version with zip signature checking disabled)
Reboot Recovery
Flash AospDNAv3.zip
Follow On Screen Instructions
Install Skin (it's been updated so dont forget to reinstall it if you already have it installed)
Reboot
Go to Settings, personalize, apply Aosp DNA skin
If you only want to install a specific mod make sure you select "no thanks keep me stock" for anything you don't want to install or have already installed
I implemented the vrtheme engine so you can install any of the mods and still keep the stock look, and if you have already installed the theme you can flash it again to choose a different mod without having to reinstall the entire theme
I recommend using a different launcher than Rosie (Nova, Apex, etc...) for the full Aosp look as well as using the Aosp lockscreen

Re: [THEME] [SuperCharged Hatka] AospDNA Theme
Kagedin said:
For those that are craving some Vanilla Android here's an AOSP theme based off of Android 4.2. All the graphics used are 100% handmade, nothing reused from any of the other AOSP themes out there. There was a lot of xml edits that took place to make this look as much like AOSP as possible. If you like it, a click of the thanks button goes a long way
This is for SuperchargedHatka v2.0.0 and HatkaDNA 2.6.0
I've tested these on a couple older version and they should work
I have not tested it on SCHatak 320DPI (Let me know if it works)
If you have any requests or problems feel free to let me know in this thread or PM me.
What's themed
SystemUI
- Statusbar (Full Black)
- Data Icon and Network Icon (Now one Icon)
- Battery (AOSP Battery w/Percentage)
- WiFi Icon
- Statusbar Clock (Removed am/pm, holo blue, centered, fixed notification text overlapping clock)
- Statusbar Expanded Header (Looks like AOSP Header)
- CarrierID Location (Now placed above statubar handle instead of inside it)
- Notification Icons (65% transparent like AOSP)
HTC Skin
- Notifications
- Notification Pulldown (At 95% transparency)
- Statusbar Handle
There are a few known bugs with this theme, but they're being worked on.
If you experience any others please report them.
Bugs
SystemUI will forceclose a couple times on fullscreen apps, YouTube etc... This is most likely due to the relocation of the carrier ID and can be fixed but at the expense of the statusbar handle themeing and the location of the carrier ID on the pulldown. (Looking into a fix)
Expanded notifications will show the blue square even when expanded, It'll run the height of the notification. (This might not be fixable because of the way sense is set up)
Expanded notifications spacing is off between them and regular notifications (Working on a fix)
WiFi Icon covers network Icon (This might not be fixable because the way sense is setup)
What's Planned
More Statusbar and Notification Icons
-GPS Icon (framework-res needs to be modified for this)
- Alarm Clock Icon
- Sync Icon
- Any others that aren't currently themed
Framework Themeing (Give a more comprehensive AOSP look)
Battery Options
-Battery without percentage
-Slimmed down battery with percentage (like CM10 Option)
Statusbar transparency (I can make the statusbar transparent for launchers other than Rosie but only if enough people want it, I personally prefer it black)
Clock Options
-Am/Pm option
- Non Centered
- Regular Colored
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for anything that happens to your phone etc etc flash at your own risk
Instructions
Download AospDNAv1.zip
Download AOSP.apk

Kagedin,
This is GREAT work. Can you please elaborate more on the system UI force close issue? What exactly happens with full screen apps? Does this affect games like Temple Run 2, GPS & stuff like that?
I just really want to know what to expect, because your theme here is really impressive.
Thanks for everything, you really have something nice here & I am looking forward to future updates.
Nice work!
Count me in as someone who wants a transparent status bar.

I just tested out temple run 2 and navigation with no force closes the only ones I've experienced with personally is YouTube when its rotated, it will fc twice then you can watch the videos just fine, and the aosp alarm clock when the alarm goes off it'll fc so I'm not entirely sure what specifically fc I assumed it was all full screen apps but it doesn't appear that way

Tried this on the 320dpi ROM, but the notification bar and icons stayed the same. The pull-down's theme wasn't the right dimensions such as the blue square behind the icon stretched to the right under some of the text. I'm looking to see if this is a problem with the ROM itself. Regular non-320dpi ROM worked much better, thanks.

I believe if you just delete (or uninstall through TiBu) the HTC lockscreen apk then reboot you should have the aosp locksreen with Rosie launcher. You may want to backup the HTC lockscreen apk just in case

Unfortunately, 320dpi doesn't work at all. But I can deal with that until you may be able to get things working. As much as I love tablet UI, the black status bar and aosp pulldown are so much better than the nasty great base of sense. Thank you so much and great job.

Introduction:
I am proudly present my new theme!!!
Long story short:
- Even since my first android phone, which was Alcatel\Cosmote Move I liked so much TouchWiz style , but not long after ICS was release and I immediately fall in love with that black and blue style
Since then I was trying hardly to make my phone look like ICS and this will be the only reason why I made it.
- Every app has been themed in JB style, with 2 parent style as Theme.Dark and Theme.Light.
- Icons in both dark and light style.
- Volume adjust JB layouts
- Cool JB transition animation and animation speed.
- Apps such Contacts, Mms, Dialer has been moved on to another level of beauty.
- Contacts with 3 tabs used most, high quality contact photo on contact viewer, top action bar and beautifull outfit
- Settings with 4 different theme as JB, TouchWiz 5.0, LG UI 3.0 and Parandroid UI, with nice JB on/off switches.
- Apps now are using top action bar as Holo style for delete, cancel, save, rename actions.
- Notification Bar fully inspired by JB 4.2 QuickSettings Notification bar.
- Calendar with better and nicer look.
- MyFiles in white style, with back button in title bar.
- In call screen with ICS buttons layout and high quality contact photo.
- Dialer with 3 tabs used most, high quality call log, top action bar and ics layout buttons.
- Original textfield, dropdown, popup-dialog, listselector background for both styles.
- Title bars with launcher icon.
- No 3rd-party apps, everything is gingerbread Galaxy Y apps!
Please enjoy this theme and there is a button for Thanks, no need to say
Tips:
- NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO PORT/EDIT/SHARE SOMEWHERE ELSE, IF I SEE IT ELSEWHERE I WILL REMOVE LINKS AND NO MORE UPDATES!!!
- Want to share it, give link to this thread, don't mirror it anywhere!!!
- I've theme 80% of apps from CoD Rom, so basically this theme is for CoD Rom, but it should work in other Custom Roms
- Got bootloop? Try to delete cache and dalvik-cache!
- What are you doing with your phone is your responsibility! Don't blame me or any other XDA user!!!
Themed apps:

Bugs:
- If you find some bugs, report in comment and I'll do my best to fix it (what it can be fix) but don't jump on me: oh you...fix that...
- I've spend my last 2 months to do this, maybe is not perfect but I did my best!!!
- In statusbar on first time after reboot you have to press twice on button to take you into toggle page, and then just go normaly.
- Some popup-dialogs has black font (try to fix it)
- In Settings you can choose between 4 themes(Jelly Bean, TouchWiz 5.0, LG UI3.0 and Parandroid) and about that switches from main page doesn't work how it supposed to...if you press it send you to second screen (where you can enable) for now. I will try to make it work.

[OTHER MODS] How To Mods [21.02.2013]
How To
How to change contacts photo in SystemUI - StatusBar Greper method:
1 - Install QuickPic from Play (skip if you already have it)
2 - After installing, open StatusBar Greper, go to "StatusBar Icon Config" and there select "Carrier Image"
3 - In SD you should have a photo with resolution 76x76 pixels, not bigger not smaller (for better look). And select it.
4 - If you want to remove your picture just select a transparent one.
5 - NEVER CHANGE SOMETHING ELSE IN GREPER. IF YOU CHANGE SOMETHING ELSE WILL INTERACT WITH YOUR BATTERY IMAGE. DO IT JUST IF YOU KNOW WHAT ARE YOU DOING!
How to change contacts photo and name in SystemUI - Decompile/recompile method:
1 - Decompile SystemUI.apk
2 - Go to systemui/res/layout/status_bar_expanded_quick_settings.xml
3 - Find line 15, there you have this:
Code:
<TextView android:textSize="12.0dip" android:textColor="#ffcccccc" android:gravity="center" android:background="#80000000" android:layout_width="80.0px" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="OWNER" android:singleLine="true" android:layout_alignParentBottom="true" />
4 - Change:
Code:
android:text="OWNER"
with
Code:
android:text="YOUR_NAME"
(where "YOUR_NAME" is actually your name like Joe, Andrew, Criss, Gabriel and so on.
6 - After saving go to res/drawable-ldpi and edit 2 images: "my_prof_normal" and "my_prof_pressed" to whatever picture you want.
7 - Recompile SystemUI
Tips:
Your new picture should have the same size: 80x72 px don't make it bigger or smaller, and inside both picture should have 2px margin in left and right invisible.
Don't tell me that FC's or can't compile back, that means that you did something wrong. Check twice!!!
And don't ask me to do that for you, I really am not in the mood to fight with no one about this thing

Because we are getting so many good suggestions for OTA updates in our thread [AllianceROM][V7.3][12.04][XWLSD] we decided it was time to start a thread for users to post their submissions.
Major Credits to Goldieking for making this Rom and to Ficeto for making the awesome Rom Customiser and the Ota app
OTA visuals (and updates) are bound to certain format rules that I will explain in the following posts.
All things posted in here will first be tested and evaluated before being uploaded to OTA
please be advised that mods are not to include complete framework-res.apk, SystemUI.apk, SecSettings.apk or android-policy
Goldieking said:
You cannot include resources.arsc in a visual as it becomes firmware dependant and will need updating every time public changes when I mod and add something.
If its not updated it can loop or fc. You should focus on doing it outside of values folder

OTA visuals
Visuals are zips containing images and XML files from apk that are to be changed.
Format for zip name is simple, just try to describe what the mod does, if mod is a variation of existing mods use same format as existing ones.
The .theme in the name is no longer needed.
Inside zip you put name of apk (without .apk). Mods can contain more than one apk!
Also put in the root op the zip:
An empty txt file named theme.txt
A txt file called description.txt with a short description of the mod
An image file in JPG format called preview with an image of your mod
put in the rest of the folders like in original apk
Before uploading it please test the mod yourself by putting it on your sd and flashing from RomCustomiser
If your mod fits an existing category please tell me in your post
If you come up with mods that don't have a category yet, please also make a revert mod containing the same images and xml from the original rom so users can get back to that easily
OTA updates
Ota updates can contain apk, mostly used by Dev's to update the Rom.
Can however also be used for fixes that contain an apk like the stock playstore
They are basicaly CWM zips, with some additions:
A txt file named description with a description of the update
An JPG file named preview with an image of the mod (preferable, not compulsory)
Please remember that all system apps go in preload/symplink/system/app
You can use the base zip that I uploaded here
I'm putting this up here

Hi guys,
Now we have a dedicated mod/theme thread I have a suggestion.
Would it be an idea that we agree on colour codes to use for the various mods. As we all know there many shades of blue, red etc.
If we can agree on that we will have matching mods and it will make it easy for users to mod there own apps like launchers etc that offer that option.
I made a few in ICS blue and used # 33B5E5
I have found this list with codes for the Android design colours:

purple_dark">#9933CC

Thanks but....
I would rather you broke down this into parts.
E.g
All the visuals as ota visuals separately
Otherwise you are just remaking my rom and it will cause confusion if people install it and then complain about any issues.
The idea of Alliance is to choose what you want either by a toggle or changer or individual ota component. Lumping stuff together goes against that principle. Anything that includes framework-res.apk, SystemUI.apk ir SecSettings.apk will not be added.
Hope you understand

Here's a toggle background mod.
Flashable with RC, it's a theming mod.
It's the original Samsung stock JB background.
Credits to Manuelmagix because I used his zip as base.

I took a quick look at your mod, but it isn't only the indicators. You also added in a black toggle background. I think it's best to keep those seperated, because there's also toggle background mods.

Tnx, its looking very nice
Could you do a similar one for the dropdown handle? Preferably in white, so everyone can edit his/her own color if needed?! (Or perhaps Goldie can implement this in Alliance settings in a future release )

Sure Master, ROM is yours, so you have to decide, what about this mod?, can be shared(with other colors planned), or i have to remove it?
So you mean use the vrtheme method(for CWM) or flashable zip just with resources(for TWRP) for above system files(not entire apk)?
Those zips limited to one MOD(for ex all blue status bar icons, then another for blue ones in power menu asf...)
I will work on it, not in a hurry, have to learn more and finish my Phone modding
