My back is a little squeaky and was wondering if anyone knew where to purchase a replacement back. Ive found everything from full front housing, screen and digitizer but cant find the back.
The second one that I sent back due to manufacture problems had that squeaky fat back issue I just called AT&T told them that the glue that's holding the back glass on is coming apart -disintegrating- and eventually the phone will come completely apart. they sent me a new one no problem. Manufactures warranty is a year no one had it longer than that. get yourself a new phone.

My dog chewed on my tab a little bit, and merely cosmetic but I'd like to replace the back cover. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement?

Try Ebay. I bought a glass digitizer from a seller in china and I replaced my glass when I dropped it. Easy replacement so you should be able to do it yourself.
I sent in my Atrix a while back because of a dead spot in the digitizer. It came back with a new digitizer and seemed fine until the screen started coming up on the edges. It's almost like they didn't put the adhesive down good enough. I got tired of the screen coming up like it did (Felt spongy and annoying to use) so I got a tag from a shirt and stuck the corner of it into the mic and went all the way around until the screen was free. I put in little drops of super glue to hold the screen down, but I somehow screwed up the ribbon cable and the digitizer no longer works. I checked to see if I could send it in again but it's completely out of warranty. Is there any way I can blame it on them and get them to fix it even if it's out of warranty? Or am I just going to have to buy a digitizer and do it myself? Thanks.

Once you tried to repair it yourself your warranty was gone. Best bet is to order new parts and pay a pro to install.. unless you would like to try it yourself.

you say its 'compltely out of warranty'... are you referring to the warranty running out or the fact you've attempted self-repair?
If you mean that the warranty has run out, the repair that moto did has a seperate warranty and you could try sending it back (conveniently forgetting your bodge job).

ATT gives you 90 days or the previous warranty time, whichever is longer when you do a warranty return / repair.
if your going to attempt self repair get a digitizer with the bezel already attached, I don't want to think about scraping the digitizer off that is attached with superglue.
I dropped my Evo LTE yesterday and it fell flat on the screen. No case and no insurance. The glass is shattered but everything still works. I sort of wonder if my screen protector is holding the glass together right now. But the touchscreen works fine over the entire screen.
Any ideas what I need to buy from here, http://www.etradesupply.com/htc/android-models/htc-evo-4g-lte.html?
You're going to need the screen, and maybe the digitizer. I'd personally take it to sprint to fix because its gonna be cheaper than what they are charging there.
If you do it yourself, prepare for a nightmare. There are things that the repair videos don't tell you and make it look easy. The battery is basically glued in, so taking it out feels like you're breaking it. Same goes for removing the cover under the glossy back of the phone. The camera kind of sticks to that and you'll feel like you're going to rip it right off the motherboard.
I went through this twice. Installed a new front half of the phone to find the replacement didn't work. Went through the entire process again with a different screen. Too much time spent doing this that I'll never get back.
Sent from my EVO.
Some kiosks in malls do screen replacements. I'm not sure if they do EVO LTE yet but my sister iPhone screen was replaced and works wonderfully.

hey guys, new to the thunderbolt world. I got my hands on a thunderbolt with a broken digitizer and lcd and I am about to buy a replacement off of Ebay. Im currently looking at this one in particular: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-LCD-dis...576?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43b5e0e0f0 Has anyone replaced one without much trouble? Ive seen youtube videos on it and I feel as though I will be able to do it myself.
Thanks for your feedback.
The hardest part is the digitizer. Male sure to but some double sided adhesive, also I would look at newegg or amazon. I think you'd be better off. Also I don't know if its the same with the bolt but with the Droid incredible there were two different types of LCD so check the part number on the back of the LCD first. You'll also need a little toolkit which you can get from amazon for about 5 bucks. The safe pry tool I got was crap. But you can use the tony screwdriver it comes with just be careful.
Also if you get it from newegg or amazon it will get here quicker it'll take about two weeks to get to the states from china.

The bolt only has one type of screen.

I've replaced this before. I highly recommend getting an OEM LCD and digitizer. They are worth the extra money compared to those coming out of China, I promise.
The replacement is easy. Just follow a good video and be patient. The only thing, though, it IS difficult to get the plastic piece under the softkeys to lay back right. If you're positive you'll never have to pull it open for a replacement again, put some glue on it to help hold it back in place. It usually has one side that won't go down right... but this isn't ALWAYS the case. Just try prying that plastic strip off very carefully.

So a friend of mine recently shattered her note 2... what are her options in going about getting this fixed/replaced?
As the title states the screen, digitizer, and glass is shattered.
Screen and Digitizer come as one unit, so even if only the glass was broken, you'd need to replace both. You can fix it, but it requires a lot of work disassembling the phone. There are a few how to videos on Youtube for it. Also, the displays aren't cheap. Last I saw, they were >$200 for a new display.
Yea best option is for her to use insurance claim for device. Its $99 and in most cases cheaper than getting it fixed. I recently shattered my screen and replaced the phone thru asurion. Here in houston cell phone repair stores wanted $140 to repair.

Yeah he's right..I smashed my screen and bought just the bezel of eBay then tried to heat up the front like everyone does and pull the glass away but, the glass and screen came up and then the digitizer broke. Just get it replaced its not worth trying to fix it yourself.

If digitizer is broken you have to send to Samsung for repair. Samsung repaired my screen+digitizer on my S3 for $140.
Having never changed a screen before my uncle got his changed in an hour or so. Just used a heat gun and pried it off. Taped the new one back on. Even switched to white in the process
You can change the front glass by itself, but if the screen or digitizer are broken, then you have to get all 3 together, at least from everything I've seen. For the OP, it's not going to be a cheap fix no matter what is done, but insurance will be cheapest, if available.
Samsung will replace the whole screen for $179. That includes parts labor and shipping both ways.
I made a video on youtube.com/outleradam about repairing the screen with a new one.

Adam, your video doesn't show about 2/3 of the process. It is just a black video screen.

Only the glass is broken, the rest of the phone works perfectly.
and maybe should the best video my way of how to replace it
The reason you want to purchase the screen with the digitizer is that is is very hard to put the glass on the digitizer with double sided adhesive tape that all sellers of the glass alone don't provide. So most end up trying and get this.
then end up buying the them combined. Good luck but asurion is the cheapest rout for most.
