[Q] file hierarchy to deep, cannot backup :( - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi,
I tried various methods now to backup content of internal storage of my Nexus 4: Plain drag-n-drop in windows explorer, commandline adb pull, Android Commander with copy or pull. All methods fail at the point where they get tho a bunch of files like this one:
Code:
/storage/sdcard0/Android/data/com.ptvag.android.adacmapformembers/cache/web/b/20/http___ajaxmaps1.adac.de_Default.aspx_ajaxmaps_MapServlet_left_938290_top_7193029_right_1251027_bottom_6880292_width_256_height_256_profileGroup_hd_version_ADAC_TourPlanerEU_2012_2_hiddenLayers_Town
Yes, this are 280 characters and Windows (7) seems to allow only 256.
Are there other methods to backup internal storage?

Why don't you exclude that folder? Or even the Android folder entirely. There's nothing really important there that won't be re-generated/re-downloaded. It's not possible in Windows, but you can do it in any Linux distro. You can install Ubuntu in Windows if you don't want to re-partition your HDD and install Ubuntu natively on it.

Browsing phone's internal storage through adb?

I was reading the Apps and Games section searching how to retrieve one of my games' save data, and I found it's probably on
/data/data/com.square_enix.android_googleplay.FFIII_GP
However I cannot access it normally, it's phone's internal memory. After few more searches, I came to a little idea: maybe using adb.
Then the question is, can I use adb to browse my device's internal and external storages, just like I browse through my PC using command line? (In my case I use Linux, so my terminal is Bash).
Can I copy from internal storage and write on it without root using adb? I don't want to root my device for a series of reasons...
Thanks.
No, to write to your internal storage you need root (to read it I'm not sure, try it). And yes, to explore you can use commands (btw, the commands are the same on Linux and Android).
Can I use "adb shell" to browse my phone with commands, just like I browse my Linux system with the command line?
I ask this in order to avoid being trial and error using push and pull and getting "remote object does not exist" errors, I'd need to see the actual directories and files...
I really dunno. As I said before, you can't write, but I'm not sure if you can read, so you need to try.

[Q] NanDroid backup invisible on OSX and Windows

I do a backup in NanDroid, to the external SD card. And plug the phone to mac/pc using usb cable
Browsing the SD card on computer clearly shows that about 1 GB is used now (it was empty before backup)
But the backup itself is not visible, on both OSX and Windows 7
Only when browsing in the phone itself I see the backup file/folder
When I open file browser in Android, it looks like the backup folder has CHMOD permissions set to only allow access for Owner and Group (not others), but I can't change it there (it's just for viewing properties I guess)
Tried installing Root Browser and change permissions for the backup folder (to give read access to everybody). Result: "not possible on some systems" o.0
Is CHMOD permissions the reason, or is it because the computer cache is not refreshed for the file browsing? (but the used SD card space IS updated on computer, so I doubt that's it)
How to fix or get around this?
Phone is a rooted Sony Xperia Go with Android 4.4.4. Backup is CWM

[Q] How to mount a windows folder inside an Android filesystem over USB?

Hello,
I need Android to treat a Windows folder on my PC as part of its filesystem. Why? Because I'm using dd to create an image of the internal memory of my Nexus 4, and I don't have enough free memory on my device to store the resulting image (the internal memory can't store an image of itself!). I want the image to be directly written on my computer over USB. I'm using Cyanogenmod 10.2.1, have adb installed on the PC and various unix tools on the device (coming with CM apparently).
Please help.
What you are asking is impossible but if you want to backup directly to pc ,it is possible. You may need a rooted phone. (This is not my guide) I am just referring.

[Q] How do I remove Android from Teclast x98 Air II? I only want Windows on it

Just got my Teclast-X98-Air II.
It's great and works just fine, but I don't really use the android on it as I have an android phone and I bought this only for the Windows part.
How do I remove the android part? Or, if its impossible/very complicated - how do I give more partition space to the Windows? As default it's 50:50.
Thank you. (and sorry for my english )
I would really love to know this too. Have you found an answer yet?
I reached the point where regrettably I could not have both Windows 10 and Android on my lowly Teclast x98 Air II, as the 32GB memory just was not enough for both operating systems. After doing considerable research on the subject, the best options (which were not exactly for my tablet), involved reinstalling Windows, and in the process removing the Android partitions.. Personally I found this to be painful and a lot of work when my Windows was running perfectly, but lacking storage. Therefore I decided to see if there was the possibility of using the Windows Disk Management program to allow me to delete the Android partitions and allocate the freed up space for Windows. Here is briefly what I did:
- Run the Disk Management program
- You should see several partitions, 3 have no File System associated with then (DO NOT TOUCH THESE), many (10+) have a File System of type "RAW" (Android partitions) and one should be of type NTFS (your Windows partition)
- On each of the partitions of File System type RAW, right click and select "Delete Volume" to delete the partition and free up the space.
- Once you have removed all the partitions of File System type RAW, you should have about 10GB of unallocated space. Format the drive to the default Windows File System type of NTFS and you should then have a new drive of 10GB, which you can use to offload some of the storage from your C: drive.
My only quip with this is that I could not extend the C: drive with the freed up space due to the order the partitions were created in, and if you want to add the 10GB of the freed up Android partitions you will have to reinstall Windows as per:

File copy or backup, to not quit on fail

Tl;Dr what are some good methods of copying files to and from the computer, on Windows and Mac
HI. I haven't rooted my Pixel 4 but I heard you could get the unlock menu to ungrey by adding an unactivated Google FI sim or other sim.
So I'm saying I could consider Titanium Backup.
But I'm trying to figure out how to backup pictures with folder structure. Mostly.
Maybe apps and settings, other files.
My main problem is Android File Transfer I'm using on my Mac stops completely when a single file fails and barely shows any info, just the last file in an error message. And then have to reCopy the whole folder overwrite or manually some files.
Is there a good wireless file transfer option?
Or as I'm saying maybe another computer software, or to mount storage or use an SD card but the Pixel 4 doesn't have. Maybe use ADB but will that quit on fail too but more verbosely?
Android is awesome; I tend to love it for its filesystem and USB mounting.
Isn't there just a way to natively mount it? Or next time get a phone with SD (and better battery). And root.
