Device not responding when copying from internal storage to SD card - HTC Droid DNA

Hi Guys,
I just brought a 64GB micro sd card and I want to transfer my files from the internal storage to the new card.
I tried to move the folder from internal storage to SD card in windows explorer in Win7 and the transfer will fail with a "device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected" message.
Any ideas?

Have u tried to move to ur desktop then move to ur sd card?

[Q] wasting space sdcard & externalSDcard

Hello.
I just bought a MicroSD, and saw on ESExplorer that the phone mounts the externalSD inside the sdcard folder /sdcard/external_sd
That way, it thinks I only have 11.5Gb available and everything I put inside my external_sd actually fills the internal memory.
I should have 11.5+8=19.5 but I don't.
Any way to fix this?
Thanks a lot!
I can't believe no one has a Galaxy S2 with an external Sd card!

Settings menu/storage and did you format it there first? Or do you use Kies and what is it using for sending stuff to your memory (Internal or External First?)
In settings/storage do you see both cards? In mine I can see SD card 29.81gb & USB storage 11.5gb.
Yes it shows the external card folder in the internal file explorer. It doesn't mean files are saved on the internal card. It was also like that on the S1 as well.
When you connect to PC in USB mode the PC will show both cards separately.

external_sd is just the mount point. You will only have ~12gb available on your internal memory because the phone uses some memory for the OS. I only have 7.4gb usable on my 8gb external sd. The available memory is always smaller than advertised

File Manager says SD Card?

Hi all,
My prime says SD card when I use the native file manager, but I don't have a Micro SD installed.
What's up with that?
And what happens when I do install an SD card? (being delivered)
Will the files be moved over? Will there be two SD card listings?
Thanks,
it's a virtual sd card
when a real sd is connected it will be under
/sdcard/Removable/sd

USB storage? Internal? And sd card

Hi
I have in a long time wondering what USB storage are used for ,and which apps are being installed there and were apps are moved when moving to the as card.
and why is there not just one big storage and the sd card. I think it is a bit confusing
I have also looked in storage in settings and then under USB storage and other files, the external sd card is shown as something which takes space, why that?

internal sd is the flash memory of your phone
external sd is the physical micro sd card
and usb storage is use with your attached a flasg drive into your s2 using otg cable.

Used root external 2 internal sd and now sd card is unreadable.

So I managed to get my HTC Amaze 4g to recognize my 32 gb sd card as the phone storage using "root external 2 internal sd". However now the external sd (formerly my phone storage) is unreadable and inaccessable even with root explorer. It doesn't even show up in the settings. I don't wanna have to lose 10 gigs. Also is this process reversable? Can I go back to having my phone storage back to 10 gb and my 32gb sd card as external storage??? EEEP! Help please and thank you
ok Thankfully I restarted the phone and it's back to normal. Still I wonder why I can't access my phone storage as my sd card??

SD Card Unexpectedly Unmounted

I'm having an issue with a brand new sd card not mounting to the phone. It was working before, but I went to connect the phone to a computer so I could move files over to the sd card in the phone. When I disconnected the phone from the computer, I got a pop up on the phone saying the sd card was unmounted. The card mounts to other phones but will not mount on the LG V10. Anybody have issues with the sd card unmounting and if not, what should I do? I've tried reformatting the sd card and still doesn't mount. I'm out of ideas.
