Hello everyone.
For some reason, every Game Boy Advance emulator I have tried ends up crashing upon loading up a game, and I have no idea why.
Several different emulators for other systems work. I've got a working bios file.
I've tried GBA.emu, Gameboid, and My Boy. None of them work.
I've also tried it with stock GB and CM10. Still doesn't work.
I would like to get them to work, so any help is appreciated.
Bad bios file?

I don't think it's a bad bios. I actually have used a few different ones, but none of them seem to work.
This baffles me quite a bit.

Well, this is embarrassing.
So what I did was try and test some Game Boy Color and SNES games. Turns out, some of them worked, and some of them didn't.
I wanted to find out why, so I loaded them up on my computer, and it turns out that they were corrupted.
So replacing them all with new ones actually made them all work. Even Gameboy Advance games.
I have no clue why it didn't occur to me to see if they were corrupted files or not beforehand, but I can't be too upset right now.
Thank you guys!

Hi, I'm new here, and I just wanted to ask if anyone has tried running PSX4droid on a stock or rooted wildfire.
Sorry if this was a question that was already asked before
thanks for any future response
i remember reading this thread a while back but never got round to trying it -
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=963395
not sure how good it would be with on screen controls on such a small screen.
If you have luck with it let me know.
ps. you dont say whether your rooted and rom'd but it looks like for best performance you
wanna be on cm7 or similar.not sure how well stock would fair?
EDIT: NVM, Already linked above.
Thanks for the quick response
I'll check it out right now and probably post later.
I did try the Nesoid on my rooted wildfire running at 691 mhz and it works great without any problems. And I just wanted to see if it could run something much better than NES games.
I tried it yesterday and loaded Final Fantasy 5. After choosing the ROM, it just showed a black screen and kicked me back to the selection screen.
More info on this would be nice
Trying the fPSe right now.. but whenever I choose the app, It just shows a black screen, doesn't even let me choose the BIOS or anything..
might try again a while later, but no progress for now. Guess I'm stuck with NES games for a while
By the way I'm using CM7 RC2 and running at 691mhz, if that helps...

Follow below link for FPse PS1 emulator:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=963395
In FPSE, you can directly run the PS1 game (either ISO or BIN), but all games does not play. You need to try multiple games. Anyway, in the link, I have already mentioned some games which I tried.
yeah.. I guess I have to try a couple more games..I tried to play Final Fantasy 5 on it and thought "hey, If Final Fantasy 7 worked on it, I bet 5 would work"
Guess I'd better try more ROMS.. Thanks for the help guys..
This works on the Nook Color, unlike N64oid.

January 2nd 2012 release
Release APK (source code)
This is the main version, for anyone who does not own an Xperia Play.
Very cool, I'll be following this pretty closely then.
Mine crashed as soon as I attempted to run a few roms... :/
Any specific settings I'm missing??
I tried a few ROMs and all of them loaded up but of course most have the usual visual problems. I just used the default settings. There aren't many settings to tweak right now anyway.
I tried mucking with a few of them. Then I reset the data to make sure I was on defaults. Might just be my particular roms :/

I got Mario64 and Fzero64 running what looked like flawlessly. SFRush, Rush2, Pilotwings64, and Shadows of the Empire loaded but had issues. Fog isn't rendered unfortunately. N64oid has fog support.
Oh and I am using the CM7.2 RC0 KANG ROM. I don't know if his customized Dalingrin kernel behaves differently. It still doesn't work with N64oid though.
I'm on just CM 7.1 I haven't really had time to play with other versions. I'm not even sure where to go from 7.1
I tried OOT, Mario Kart, Smash Bros, and a few others to no avail.
Just want to bump this. This emulator has a lot of potential but it needs more members posting problems and contributing to the system. It works decently well on the nook!! Hope on over to their forum and give it a shot.
I have been using Mupen64 for almost a month, and and have experienced none of the problems I encounters using the early versions of N64oid, the only versions of that app I could get working on the nook. Mupen64 has run Zelda OOT and Perfect Dark with no FC so far.. The Zelda has some scramble issues in the maps on the start screen, but the dungeon maps are fine, so there are really no playability issues. I never know how many rupees I have, and but whatever.. A huge improvement, and and the app is free on the dev's website.
Well worth a try if you game on your Nook. I find that the best 64 games trump most of the market fare by a wide margin, although none of the games make use of the sensors or touch screen of course.
Oh yeah: has worked on every iteration of the MiRaGe Kang, and currently running the 2/1 update.
can't find roms for mupen64plus on note 2
hi guys been searching the forums for this answer but have come up empty handed.
I moved the roms to my extSdcard under the directory downloads but when i use mupen64 to look for games in that directory it doesn't see any games; when i use astro file manager or even the epsxe app i see the roms there.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

It could be the recording program that he is using. I'll try it when I get a chance.

Hi,
Not work for me
Please, you can tell me how you do to make it work.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.
inbox me what error are you facing while installing it i will try my best to help you for sure
I use CM9 on my touchpad.
I have a message who said : asphalt 7 was forced to close
I have tested many configuration in build prop and many dpi setting but no succes.
Thansk in advance.
This game now shows as compatible now with the Touchpad on Google Play. For only 99 cents I figured I would buy it and try it out and it works fine. There are a few little DPI issues in the menus as shown in the video above but its still playable and the graphics are pretty good. Only bad part is it needs to do a license check when loading which means you need to be connected to wifi, once the game has loaded you can disconnect.
I also got a couple of forced closes. I just kept trying to open it until it worked. It might have been a weak wifi spot in my apartment or something.
Has anyone figured out how to fix the menu buttons being in the wrong place and cut off?
Anyone got this working on CM10?

Anyone have problems with Zombiewood? It worked fine when I first installed the game, but since then I can't get it to launch. Gets to the loading screen, then crashes. Anyone else? I've tried reboot, but I haven't reinstalled it because of the large download.
Classic Gameloft not coding games well

Don't know. I deleted the game because it kept sending notifications about in game sales. Best of luck
Mine is working fine!!!
It may be a little bit of old news, but I can confirm LGOG is perfect for running the psx emulator. The emulator only cost 3.75 from the play store and definitely a labor of love and worth supporting. The PC version is free. There are 2 of them epsxe and fpse and both are equally good, I ended up choosing epsxe over a matter of preference, google for both review. So far tested them on FFVII and FFVIII, works really good. The emulator supports all kind of disk image (iso, img, ccd, etc.). LGOG definitely very powerful to run all these games in an emulator.
Yeah. I own both and can say that both work awesome on nexus 4(aka optimus g brother)
Fpse has many options and is fast , but is sometimes a bit too complex to set up and audio has issues some times. Epsxe works awesome! But it doesn't have as nice of interface or as many options. I'm currently using epsxe though.

RetroArch is free and works great too. Plus is has several other emulators in it. It's like an all-in-one app.

Wrong thread. And also you don't flash boot animations unless it specifically says too. Restore a backup and read before doing any flashing again. If you don't have a backup just FOLLOW the directions and flash a ROM from the development section. You can use ADB to push the file to your sd card in recovery if you don't have a ROM already on the SD. READ!
