So I just got an MHL adapter today, and for the life of me can't get it to display on my TV. It won't even work on my laptop, or comp. The cord is connected to my phone, the TV, and of course the power outlet, and I have already enabled HDMI..
The TV will flicker and build up my anticipation then displays a blank screen.
Am I missing something? Or does anyone have a suggestion?

Oh, I used an HDMI out enabler for jellybean, but I guess that's not gonna help me on this ROM. Damn.
Can anyone suggest a ROM that HDMI out works properly? Preferably jellybean but if not oh well.

FJ posted a line you add in the build prop that should enable it. Forgot what thread it is in. Someone asked a similar question to yours.

From Flapjaxxx:
Add this line to your build.prop
ro.hdmi.enable=true
Then save and make sure to set your build.prop permissions correctly
Reboot.

Well stock ics works amazingly. Maybe someone will get a proper fix going cause using my phone on a 42" screen is kicka$$
Especially with a ps3 controller

Works fine on my Gubment Cheese!
Say it, Don't spray it.
Well I made the tiniest bit of progress and I'm now able to watch YouTube on JellyBam 4.1.0 on my 42" TV.
Only problem I can't solve is playing games, viewing my home screen and everything else on my TV.
But YouTube works so that's a start.
If anyone figures anything out about getting mhl to HDMI to work properly they should share their method.
Please and thanks.

Isn't the problem due to overlays? I read about a fix somewhere. I think its just checking a setting.

Did you test actually using NFC or just happy the apps/menu appeared? Lol
I can't test it cause I don't have NFC, still very skeptical about this...
Hmm, interesting... It's using NfcGoogle.apk instead of Nfc.apk, it's also not using /system/lib/hw/nfc.exynos4.so
It almost looks like someone forward-ported the Gingerbread NFC stack.
I'll look at it this weekend maybe... next few days will be busy.

Be sure to also flash the Slim Common zip for the file, which you can download here:

This is what I hate about all forums like this. I'm not a developer and collect various things from all over the place but have no way of knowing where I got them from. If someone is really looking for something I have that someone else made I post it with a statement something like, "This isn't my work, I have no idea where it came from, take no credit for it and am simply sharing something that was shared with me. If this is your work and want me to update this post to relfect that just let me know." I haven't had any problems yet that I know of!

Yes, do exactly what he said and if the original poster of the files ask you to edit/remove the post just do as he says and you should have no problems
problem with inverted apps is the color choices used. usually based on ics blue. if you didn't know I think almost all gapps is themed if you apply a cm theme. I'm on one from the market and everything is red themed for me.

Kernel development, as far as I can tell, is one of the most challenging aspects of android development.
Are you requesting a working kernel, or guide to get you started on building one yourself?
If the former, would you like a side of bacon and eggs, too? If the latter, I suggest searching the Web for resources. Not to sound like a jerk, but I don't think you understand the gravity of your request.
We only recently got 'sauce', so working ICS kernels other than stock are a treat.
If you want more kernel development, donate to your dev.

It's not that we don't believe you, it's just you have no proof. You haven't given us any reason to believe you. Maybe if you has the credibility of a Dev here on xda you could get away with that old "friend of mine" line.

You know devs are working hard to get aosp and jellybean 100%. Does your imaginary friend have gtalk so chad can hit him up since he has all the info and skill to fix all our problems?

So he has a Rezound/GS3 hybrid which uses android which uses Gmail to sign in which has Gtalk, but he doesn't have a gtalk... makes sense.

Technically he does but what I mean is he doesn't use it. I can ask him to get on and talk to you to prove if you want

Amazing work! Thanks for getting the ball rolling here! Any known bugs yet?
I figured you'd do something like this LOL. I haven't had time to play with it yet. I'll have another built in the am EST. It will include CM Focus if everything went through on their side.

can't say for sure. Didn't run it long enough. Keep in mind that 10.2 is still in early dev from CyanogenMod and Qualcomm devices are 2nd in the list iirc.

Hands on with CM10.2 Jelly Bean 4.3 for the HTC One -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?edit=vd&v=UhvYjD8o22k
Didn't get a build out yesterday however I will today. The biggest issue I've found so far while listening to music video wired headphones when you open an app the sound will fade in and out. Other then that WiFi works notification sounds work. Haven't tried BT. Haven't tested auto brightness either. Camera and focul both work. Camera now shows full screen when capturing pictures however Focul still cuts off top and bottom.
Screenshot works now as well.
Update: disabling touch sounds fixes audio fade in/out. Also in call audio works.

That was my own doing. My apologies for that one. I'm unsure how close they are in releasing. However if you would like my personal opinion on it. As of last night it has become my daily driver ROM.
Also, today's build for "unofficial" is up. Here

Hah, fair enough.
Thanks for the download link, I'm about to flash it right now.
If anyone is having root issues you might want to enable developer options disable and re-enable root for apps and adb then reboot.
