Can it be done on SGS2 ?
I've seen it's supported by various tablets & there are driver updates out there for certain devices
It basically doesn't work with PPP Widget on my device using Jellybam latest version.
I use a Huawei Digi Net Mobile USB Modem. Quite similar to Vodafone ones
Maybe one of you can help?

Wondering if theres anyway i can use my phone with a wired connection to a pc without wifi. Is there anyway i can do it via bluetooth or via usb cable. And i have a network RJ45 port around me if i get an adapter would it be possible to plug it into my phone then use the internet?

It's called reverse Android tethering
Also there's a stock app that can do that using usb, I think it was called something like settings

Yes, seems that I understood your first post wrong, I think ur looking for reverse thether although I don't get it why some1 would like to share his computers internet via usb to his phone

I just bought my S3 not too long ago and have noticed that I can't seem to tether to my MacBook Pro under OS X, but it seems to work fine under Windows. I was wondering if anyone else experienced this and if there was a fix? Loving the phone but it's really a deal breaker for me if this is a consistent issue. Thanks!

What do you mean by "tether" ? Are you trying to get network connection going through the S3 on your mac via USB tether? Or are you talking about file transfer?

you can download kies air via samsung apps and then connect PC with wifi

Can we use 3g dongle via Otg on s2. As the reception will definitely be good on 3g dongle as compared to 3g sim. Thanks

dongle needs drover to work on and are supported by like windows

Thanks for replying. But many android devices support 3g dongle via usb. I want to know if s2 also supports or not.

At the moment I don't have otg cable in hand. I will buy one and experiment. But even then, i don't know what 3g dongle it will support if at all? I am having one tablet without 3g but it supports 3g dongle and I am able to enjoy Internet via dongle. That's why I am curious whether s2 will also support.

Thanks rayman112. I am specifically asking about usb 3g dongle. I don't use keyboard or mouse.
If you're interested in reception, then it will be the same. Signal strength will not be stronger.
I was just wondering if anyone has successfully used a dual sim adapter of any kind with a stock note 2 or one running any rom ? I purchased a magic sim adapter for my phone and it doesn't seem to work. I've restarted the phone and put it in airplane mode and nothing changes. It just says no sim searching for service. I have tried both stock and on jelly beans rom v8. Ive tried with two verizon sims and also with att and a tmobile sim. Thanks !!

This is pretty popular in other countries. Usually for use when calling places with different rates, etc. For better rates on phone/data, etc or if you travel between bordering countries, etc.
I've seen a phone(not note) with 4 Sims in use before.
As far as Verizon, sorry man.... Not for sure you can without some heavy mods. Hopefully someone else here sees your thread
Hi my name is chris. I have a samsing galaxy s3 from sprint rooted I'm trying to find a tether for my phone so I can connect to my ipod touch and laptop and my PlayStation 3 I'm on stock rooted JB 4.1.2 and before this phone I had a motorola photon 4g with android 2.3 rooted on CM7 ROM and I used barnacle which worked perfect for me but now its not working I've attached with this post with what it has been saying I don't know what it means or how to fix it or if it can even be fixed so if someone could help me fix it or even name me some apps that would work perfect that would be great again all I'm trying to do is tether my phone so I can connect to ipods (ipod touch & Etc.) My PlayStation 3 (other video game consoles too) & my laptop or anything else I need
