I have the first one - fits well and does the trick. I have just ordered the second one so the rear and sides of the device have protection.
Pricey, but lifetime guarantee and made of a cool material.
Good customer service too.
Have had Martin Fields for quite a while now.
http://www.martinfields.co.uk/dis_product.asp?model=HTC_HDTouch&modeln=Touch%20HD&prod_type=screen
It fits really well, I almost can't tell that it's on besides for two whitish lines at the left and right edges of the screen but it's under my silicon jacket so I see none of that =)
hi,
search the forum, this is a popular topic. i agree the htc protector is a little too big, i have also tried the Brando anti-glare, which is a little short top to bottom. a cheap ebay alternative was a good fit, but too shiny, prone to fingerprints.
I got the EXiM SPOC one from ebay, its the exact size but only problem is it doesn't have a hole for camera.
No sticky touch, smooth and washable/reusable. Very good, always had EXiM, never been dissapointed.
You can also try www.purplemoo.com they only produced fitting protectors. Very good customer service.
I have just bought this from ebay
I spent a couple of frustrtaing minutes trying to fit the one that came with the phone
Has anyone used the wet application type (eg the Clear Protector mentioned above)? I've bought one of these but the idea of putting water on my device fills me with dread, especially as there's a big hole in the facia for the microphone. This seems like lunacy!
I bought an InvisiShield screen protector, not whole body, came with rubber squegee and spray.
Spray your hands, peel of protector, spray film not phone, place on and squegee off. Left in airing cupboard overnight, and you cannot notice its even on there. THe only thing I did was wipe of the front with a damp cloth as the spray stopped your fingers running smoothy over it.
As a testiment to it, I dropped my Touch, bounced twice... body has a couple of minor scratches but they stop where the protector starts... would recommend!

Man i bought this EXiM SPOC and what a load of ****!
The worse screen protector i've ever used. It is so easily scratched and whenever i drag the stylus across the screen, it leaves marks on the screen.
A cheap 99 cent screen protector on eBay that i bought for my mums Omnia is better quality.
AVOID at all cost.
This is EXIMs claim.
"Ultra Anti-Scratch
•Enjoy stylus writing on your PDA. EXiM® has properly sheltered it for you.
EXiM® Screen Protectors could last for a long period of time without affecting its smoothness and transparency because of the stiffness of the raw material used. Anti-Scratch Coating is applied on top of the PET Film surface to further increase the durability. Different hardness of coatings are used in different types of EXiM® Screen Protectors to best meet different needs and applications."
My ass, it scratched without me doing anything. One small drag on the screen protector makes marks.

Is this yellow or is it displayed as such to show what it does?
It seems it's for the whole device rather than just the screen.

Did you read it or just look at the pic?
Q: Why is Clear Protector pictures shown in color?
A: It's shown for your viewing knowledge. Actual Clear Protector is Crystal Clear!
For the Droid Razr.
I'm wondering which one has the
1) Best Texture
2) Better overall coverage
Pictures would be appreciated... I'm trying to find the one that covers all areas of the phone the most.
Also, is the bezel of the phone plastic or aluminum?
Thanks
I have had a few screen protectors for the razr but none seem to go to the edge of the screen (up to the plastic bezel)
Im currently using a stenheil protector and it is as if it isn't there.

I tend to lean towards the "wet install" films as well. Especially on the Razr which has a slight bevel on the edge of the screen. This bevel makes the "static" films lift a bit.
Zagg
Has a orange peel texture which is noticeable at angles but when looking straight at the screen it looks perfect. I believe the texture is to help smudges and finger prints. Barely enough solution is included after you wet your hands as instructed. Crappy smoothing tool is too hard.
Skintomi
Texture is very smooth but you have to be very careful during install or you will be left with "squiggles". Its a weird effect but can be eliminated or reduced by installing the film in a steamy bathroom. Nearly as smooth as the bare screen but also attracts smudges and finger prints easily. Good smoothing tool.
ArmorShield
Very similar to Skintomi but made in USA of 3M Film. A little easier to install than the Skintomi and more than ample solution included. Decent/Good smoothing tool.
Couple of hints when installing any "wet" film:
** Wash hands completely to remove dirt from fingers.
** Thoroughly wet hands with solution after washing
** Install in a steamy environment (like a bathroom)
** Once you lay the film, it will slide easily if you don't apply pressure.
I had a zagg protector on my nexus s. And I loved that texture.

I bought extreme guardz for my Razr Maxx and it actually covers the entire screen Corner to corner. The texture is great. It was a wet install and cost $1.50 off of ebay.

I had Zagg and Stealth Guard before and I currently have the extreme guard on my Nexus S and there is no comparison. The Extreme Guard are the best by far. Zagg is too rubbery and actually attracts smudges and fingerprints. Stealth Guard was ok, but I found they were not cut to the exact shape that was required. The extreme guard fit perfectly, add some non-slip texture, but are barely noticeable on the screen. And given the price they can be purchased for on eBay you really cant go wrong. I have a RAZR coming in the mail and I immediately purchased two full-body shields from Extreme Guard off eBay. Two of them including shipping was like $12 to Canada.
I'm using the Clear Ultra Crystal Steinheil screen protecter and it's AWESOME. It's thin, but durable. It doesn't have that rubbery feel and you can't even tell that I have a screen protector on.
Im using Steinheil Clear Ultra Crystal as well. It is the best screen protector I have ever used. Very smooth, and clear and tough. I have had mine on for 3 months, and it is still pristine.

Out of all these, do any cover the sides and corners of the phone? I have a ghost armor on mine and it leaves the edges bare. On my Droid charge it covered everything, but for some reason not my new Razr. That's what needs covered the most, and I don't like cases so would prefer a skin.

I just installed my zagg late last night. I have to say I'm impressed with it. I only have 1 piece of dust under it, and most of the little bubbles are gone after 7-8 hours.

I bought a phantom skinz chromatic earlier this week and it should get here today. I've had a TPU case the whole time and I've always felt it took away from the slim factor no matter how thin it is. I hope the skin is better. I'm pretty careful with my phone and I just wanted something to protect it from surface scratches around the corners and edges. I will let you know how it goes when I get it on there and I'll post some pics too if I can.
I just installed a phantom skinz chromatic this past Saturday and I have mixed feelings about it so far. It cost me nearly 30 bucks and it came with the skin and 2 screen protectors. I followed the instructions to the letter and I mostly like the skin but the screen protector not so much. The skin has a nice texture like wood grain and I think it will protect the phone nicely. What I don't like is that there are a lot of gaps in which you can feel the hard edges of the skin. I have been getting used to it over the past few days. I'm having a harder time getting past the irregularities of the screen protector. The instructions say to allow a few days for small bubbles and other hazy imperfections to smooth out. It has improved a lot since install but as you can see in the pics there appears to be what looks like tiny bubbles or dust. These are actually IN the screen protector. There are other things I can't get past. It has a sticky rubbery feel that doesn't feel right when Swyping. There are also small ripples in places that have not gone away. Also the screen responsiveness seems to me to be a bit lower. Menus don't really "coast" anymore when I flick thru. The only real benefits I can see is that it really is smudge resistant to fingerprints. I do think it would protect the screen against some serious attack but its interfering with my enjoyment of the phone; so I'll probably remove the protector and keep the skin and just rely on the gorilla glass.I've had the phone since 11/11 and its done fine without it this far. Just my opinion on this skin. Hope this helps you decide.
Also the Bezel of the phone is plastic to answer your other question. Cheers!

I usually like to install skins on thin phones like the Razr and my last phone the Xperia Arc, as bulking it up with a case seems to defeat the whole point of the phone's design. Anyways, have a Skinomi on my Arc, and decided to try a Xtremeguardz skin on my Razr...mostly because the Xtremeguardz skin was much cheaper at $5 vs. $15.
Whereas the Skinomi had entirely seperate pieces for the sides, top, and back, the Xtremeguardz back piece wraps around the sides as well...there's seperate pieces for the camera area and very top. Personally I'm not sure I like this full wrap around design, as what I've found in the past is I tend to get annoyed with having these skins stuck to the sides of the phone. The sharp edges tend to catch on my holster case I clip to my belt when sliding the phone in and out, and before long it starts looking chipped at the corner edges. It also tends to pick up dust and debris on the edges and never stays clean.
On the Skinomi for my Arc, I had the option of just simply installing the back battery cover skin, and I opted to leave the rest bare...this worked the best for me as I wasn't constantly feeling the sharp edges nor the stickiness of the skin, and my main concern was having protection for the phone's back when I set it down on surfaces. My leather holster protected the rest of the phone from daily abuse. My Xtremeguardz on my Razr still seems to be curing its bubbles after day 3, and I find also the edges keep getting unstuck on the Xtremeguardz. I haven't started using the phone yet daily, so I'll have to see if I want to stick with using it.
As far as the included screen protectors go that come with these skins, I never bother using them. I find they're all just too sticky on fingers to be used on a swiping surface, so I always stick to regular hard screen protectors to get the smooth gliding sensation.
I have used the Stenheil Ultra Crystal or Ultra Oleophobic from spigen / SGP on like my last 10 devices, because, they are by far and above the best I've ever used, hands down, in every way.
But for some reason, they decided not to make one for the DNA. My guess is the curved edge of the glass, they had issues with the curved glass on the Galaxy Nexus too since these protectors are "rigid". I don't care if it can't cover the entire glass as it's still better than nothing...
Anyone come across a screen protector that is like the Ultra Crystal for the DNA? IE - no orange peel, no gummy feel, no change in the picture quality, etc. IE - NOT a Zagg style protector, lol. Thanks in advance.
Have you ever tried 'best skins ever'? I use them on all my device. If you are generous with the solution the orange peel is so minor it's hard to see. I've actually used them so much I can get them on with no orange peel. They feel almost like the glass when placed correctly.

Yeah, that's a zagg invisible shield style. It's a protective material, not a good screen protector material. I'm looking for a rigid, dry install type protector. That type has NO orange peel and feels just like glass.
I used to use boxwave back in the day, they were nearly as good as Steinheil's. But it seems they stopped making protectors for all but the absolute most popular devices.
I'm probably going to order one (Steinheil Ultra Crystal) for the HTC One and just it it, it won't cover all the glass but it will the visible area at least. I confirmed this on my friends One.
Have you considered tempered glass screen protectors? There appears to be one offered by iMUSE. It should offer the best clarity, but it cost $30. I haven't purchased one myself because there aren't any reviews to be found for this screen protector.
Before I order something random from Amazon, I thought I would ask what everyone is using and what you think of it. The only post I found in any of the other threads was someone with a tempered glass screen protector who wasn't happy with the fit.

well, I have a tempered glass screen protector on it, and I am very happy with it. It is a 100 times beter than any other plastic screenprotector, as it will not scratch easily.

Well... for a screen protector, I found this:

I gave it a chance, even thought I was like "meh, Chinese junk maybe", but today after 4 months, it looks the same! BEST screen protector I ever had.
iPaky case (Gold)
iPaky case from amazon.in

This case is good but bumper is of plastic which is delicated.
I have tried every thing out there and ended up with everything Nillkin, case and screen
I have the black/gold Ipaky case and a tempered glass screen protector. I like them both.
Does anyone know of a desktop battery charger to charge a spare battery out of the phone?

I also have an iPaky case bought from ali express. (Black version in my case)
Build quality is good an the case stays higher than the screen protecting it from falls.
The back is super grippy with a nice pattern.
For a screen protector i use a tempered glass one which is stronger than a normal plastic screen protector and doesn't leave bubbles after being applied. It costs a bit more than ordinary screen protectors but you can get one for as low as 1€ from Aliexpress.
I own two cases, one is a simple one with a transparent black color while the other one has an Audi sportscar drawn on it.
So here is what I got:
Aksberry tempered glass screen protector
Pros:
good fit
Tempered glass does seem very hard
rounded edges don't catch on things (like pockets)
Cons:
seems to reduce sensitivity of touch screen
mine has a flaw that has created a bubble under it. It is on the lower edge, so it doesn't affect its operation, just an annoyance to look at.
Nillkin case
Pros:
good fit
edge extends above screen (and screen protector)
extends above buttons. This also helps prevent accidental button presses (am I the only person who thinks that power button is in exactly the wrong spot?)
Cons:
haven't noticed any
Currently using the iPaky case with the silver frame. I love it. The iPaky cases are one of the best out there. I have also a leather flip cover, it's nice but I don't use it much for whatever reason.
did anyone notice the screen protector sensor hole is on the wrong side?
left which has nothing on it, right is where the sensor is.
damn....
Hi,
My Lenovo glass had broken many times & now it gives problem of sensing. Where should I get to change the glass & how much it cost?
I use a tempered glass protector with a skin I ordered from skins4gadgets. The skin is good enough for my usage.
So far I've tried 5 different screen protectors and they've all been garbage. I want to try the Zagg one but don't really want to waste 40 bucks on something that's hard to return if it sucks.
Has anyone used it? Does it cover the screen properly?
No, it doesn't. I've got about 0.5 mm of uncovered AMOLED on each side.

Thanks for the replies. Wonder if anyone is going to just make a damn glass screen protector that curves so it fits this screen. I'd spend a decent amount of money on that.

I voiced the same thought in another thread. Seems like that would solve quite a lot of TGSP problems considering more and more phones are being made with 2.5D glass.

Could you possible elaborate on which particular brands of screen protectors you got? You know, for research purposes
No, but I was there when my brother and his SO both put zaggs on their piXeL and they did end up with the slightly exposed screen on either side. Very very poor work by zagg. PeehPs even more troubling was that they each had multiple protectors simply not adhering at the edges, which was frustrating. They went to Verizon to complain and were given free exchanges since the verizon folks said lots of people (of all phone types) had been having these exact issue with the zaggs recently. Definitely not touching them myself.
[2-Pack] Google Pixel Screen Protector, Dmax Armor [Tempered Glass] 0.3mm 9H Hardness, Anti-Scratch, Anti-Fingerprint, Bubble Free, Ultra-clear - Noticeable screen on both sides of a perfectly centered protector.
Pixel intelliGLASS HD The Smarter Galaxy Glass Screen Protector by intelliARMOR To Guard Against Scratches and Drops. HD Clear With Max Touchscreen Accuracy. - Noticeable screen on both sides of a perfectly centered protector.
[2-Pack] Klearlook Google Pixel 9H [Scratch Proof & Ultra Clear] Tempered Glass Screen Protector - This was the closest to covering the whole screen, but still not quite. Might have just stuck with this one if I'd realized the others were gonna be worse. Still would have bugged me though.
Google Pixel Screen Protector, Fosmon 3 Pack [Full Screen Coverage | HD Crystal Clear] TPU Sticky Coating Screen Shield for Google Pixel - This is not a tempered glass protector. Because it's so thin it was impossible to get off it's adhesive covers without touching the sticky side, also impossible to get it down centered and without bubbles because it was too thin. But it did cover the entire screen properly.
Google Pixel Screen Protector (5")[2-Pack], ILLUMI AquaShield Full Coverage Screen Protector for Google Pixel HD Clear Anti-Bubble Film - I bought this one the other day but it has not arrived yet. Figured i'd give the wet apply one a try because I can at least center it and it should cover the whole screen. I'll have to see how it feels though.
I put on a wet-apply protector the other day and am quite happy with it. I went with the Skinomi MatteSkin.
I've used matte protectors before and never stayed with them. I'm finding I really like this one, though. It has a satin kind of look that goes well with the black leather skin and colored "G" logo (Slickwraps).
