No, nothing. No charge light, pc won't recognize device in fastboot

If nothing is happening, no lights, nothing on the pc, i would say your s-off attempted failed. Have you tried taking the battery out and letting it sit for a few then booting it back up? i dont think thats going to help. IMO i would say its dead unless someone else knows of anything.
I know in the computer world if something like that happens and the USB ports are fine on the PC its the devices thats dead..im assuming the same would go for the phones

imo if its not doing a thing, then i would say the usb fried during your s-off attempt. Im not sure if the s-off could cause an issue like that, im not s-off and dont plan on it just for that reason. shorting the phone out doesnt sound to pleasing to me

I've seen this before browsing the forums. I got S-Off first time so didn't commit it to memory. Definitely visit the UI site and check. The answer may be to run the process again but verify that.

See there you go lol, someone with a lil more experience with the s-off stuff then me after doing a little searching it does appear that you can recover from that s-off failure...now it seems that the pc needs to be able to see the phone in order to do so, so it might still be a paperweight, but i guess ill let others chime in and see what they say

I also just read a few threads that ppl did fry their usb ports when getting s-off, and also as bad killing the phone..exactly why i dont want to s-off, theres not much i cant do being s-on besides radios and kernals, and even then their work arounds for that

If you can get to bootloader you're rarely screwed. You can always run a RUU. If your port is fried, S-Off may no longer be an option but you can charge in other ways.

Also as for charging get an external battery charger. You can find them online fairly cheap. I had to get one for my thunderbolt because the usb port was shot

Just hope they don't charge. I asked the same thing before I shipped it out. Luckily they just emailed me today saying it's fixed and said they are going to ship back. How did you damage the port?
I mistakenly tried to put the wrong side of the charger plug in.

That won't over write the hboot. You need to be able to push the hboot with adb from recovery. Really not sure if there is a way to do it without a USB connection. Maybe in a terminal emulatorwhile booted although I am not sure if trying to push an hboot while fully booted

Correct. And the only way to do this would be to somehow dd a stock HBOOT (I could provide one) over the revolutionary one, and reflash the stock ROM. It would go like this, but since your device isn't powered it's kinda useless:
1. Install the stock RUU on your device (extract the rom.zip from it, google extract rom.zip extract RUU) rename the rom.zip PG41IMG and place on sdcard >>> reboot into hboot.
2. After 2 complete passes, reboot into the system with the hboot of the RUU on the sd. DD it using Terminal Emulator (a command like this, don't actually run it: dd if=/hboot.nb0 of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p18)
3. Reboot into fast boot to confirm the stock restore.
4. ???
5. Profit
Now obviously the device will require power here and when I used this method I had to stop midway to charge, so even 40% battery isn't an option.
EDIT: If you can get some battery, just do HTC Unlock. Although it's a warranty void, I think HTC would provide support rather to the guy who used their tools instead of a third party one.
My 2 cents, but their 1950 special edition ones so don't lose em!
Oh yeah I just realized you could take your sdcard out and put it into the computer to put files on it, if you can even get it charged though :/

Okay. So your saying that since it can't boot I'm fine, the would HAVE to fix it because it disent have enough charge?
Sent from my ADR6300 using xda premium
I had the same problem back in December. My advice is to turn off your device and conserve as much battery power as you can until you figure out what to do, because once you run out, you're stuck. Unfortunately for me, I found out my port was broken when I plugged it in when I ran out of batteries. I sent it to HTC though, and within a couple weeks I had it back, with HC on it. If you do send it in, make sure to back everything up because they flashed mine.

Well if HTC fixes the port and charges it up and finds revolutionary, I doubt they would refuse to send it back. They've fixed it already.
there have been a couple of people who managed to charge their flyer by taking off the back plate and charging the battery directly. This would only fix a portion of your problem. In the end if you do not have usb connectivity I am not sure you can replace the Hboot. If the port is broken it really has nothing to do with being S Off. I can not see why it would impact the repairs, although I think you stand a decent chance of recieving an invoice.

you can actually plug in a mouse into your phone, from what i understand. if you have the right adaptor. But it doesnt matter too much anyways, take your phone in and the sprint team can fix it for you, they will most likely flash the RUU if you are honest with them, or give you a new phone. I have never had problems with my store so far, if a phone is physicaly broken, as in the battery wont charge, the buttons dont work, the screen is broke, they give me a new phone or new battery, what ever is needed. and they tell me
your phone is rooted, so we couldnt run our normal diagnostics on it, but if you have any other problems let us know.
that is the BIGGEST reason i stay with sprint. kick ass customer support.
I have two evos and the other got stuck at the HTC boot screen where it says quietly brilliant. I didn't notice it was stuck since I had walked away and it overheated severely. I held the power to turn it off but from that point on I couldn't turn it on at all.
Any suggestions? Is it a lost cause?

Try plugging it in and letting it sit a while, let it cool down first, maybe the battery needs to recover, heat can damage the battery

Yeah, if you plug in your phone to a computer (Linux is a bit better for this) do you get a new device discovery in Windows? Do you have some COM devices or Modems in your Device Manager in Windows?
You might be in the emergency download mode. There can be hope.

Hello All,
Here it is, charges fine, but will not connect as a storage device or for adb, etc. What ive tried...
3 different cables, 1 of which is HTC
3 Different computers (2x Win8, 1x Win7) - 1 of each which had never had phone plugged in
Many different roms
USB Debug is On
Ive installed various drivers, uninstalled various software, cannot get it to behave.
Sometimes the USB icon is in my status bar when im not plugged in, sometimes when im plugged in the icon doesnt appear.
When it does selecting htc sync or disk drive seem to have no effect.
NOTHING in device manager, no unknown, no other, no android device...not a thing to show its connected other then the LED light on the phone.
Im beginning to wonder if its my phone. I was s-off via lazy panda. I have since used Viper's RUU but by taking the rom.zip and renaming it PJ75IMG.zip and loading that from bootloader. Seems to have flashed stock although i still show s-off but locked.
Any help would be great

If u install WiFi file transfer pro from playstore then u won't need to transfer files via cable. Does wireless adb work? Haven't tried it, but it would be the only thing u need your cable for. As long as it charges right.
Just an idea so u won't necessarily have to take your phone in to be replaced. Good luck

Instead of saying "Please help! help!", you need to give more information about your device. If you can't do that, you are wasting your time and everyone else's because we cannot play the guessing game with you.
Did you pull the battery?
Did you try charging it overnight?
Were you using the Jbear kit on Windows, or Linux?
What stage were you on when your device went bad?
Did you install the HTC drivers?
Did you reboot your PC to see if that helps fix the driver issue?

Since it happened while doing s-off on windows, isn't it more likely that the process that is not supported for windows--especially with a cable pull--would have mis-flashed the phone's bios?
Is it possible that re-running the s-off solution would correct the issue?
