I have used my fair share of inverted/themed Google apps, such as the Play Music app or the Google+ app. I am wondering how I can theme the apps myself. Specifically, the new Google Play Music update that came out a few days ago. I want to change the widget from gray, to black. Like this...
Can any one help or guide me in the right direction? Tried changing the pictures in the Res folder, but when I try to install the apk, I get the parse error.

Has anyone got this play market instead of the android market? Is it a new update?
sent from cm7 atrix 1.3ghz
Yea I got it. I had to clear cache in android market, and then it auto updated, and now called Google play store. Looks same... Just says Google play on top instead of market. On pc Google play is black and white themed

I too got the Google Play store update. It seems there are some speed improvements, but other than that nothing else seems different. Also, I noticed when using the default blur home launcher that the market shortcut that appears at the top of the app drawer is broken. It no longer registers the market being installed. Wondering if this is a coding issue due to the name change.

dolphin browser beta . searching this on google play and it will say "device not compatible" ,so i have to dl the apk. now i have dolphin and it works but will not update as on my phone it does not list dolphin browser in the list of apps in google play. but when i check on my computer online at google play it says i have dolphin browser.
this happens with other apps. how do i fix this and why is my phone not working with google play the way it should?
thanks
I had a similar problem with my phone. I changed the dpi to 240 and voila. Try it may be it can work out.

Try try to use capital letters.
One problem with PlayStore is if the phone isn't 240dpi it might become incompatible. So you'll have to clear the PlayStore data and set it back to 240dpi.
Also developers can set their app to not be compatible with your phone. The way I get around it is to log into Play Store within a browser. When you download an app from the browser it will show you a list of all the Android devices that are associated with your gmail account, hopefully the app is compatible with one of that device. Then download it to that device, then back up that app to apk to send to your phone.
It's one of the annoying thing about Android right now.
thanks
thank you guys , that worked great and its something so simple. went to gmarket and i had so many apps to update , i had no idea
cheers
Hi all. I need some help in figuring out what the problem is.
Currently I am running Paranoid Kangdroid by JamieD. I have multiple apps that are downloaded, but when I go to their Play Store Page, I get a meesage that says my device isn't compatible with the app.
Here are some of the apps that are applicable to this problem:
Square Register
Tasker
Google Hangouts (replaces Talk)
9Gag Official App
Temple Run 2
Amazon Mobile
There are a lot more apps, but these are just a few.
This problem also occurred with PTMR's Debloated JB 4.1 and JamieD's Revolt. I was wondering what could the problem be? Resetting the DPI did not fix anything and I wasn't sure making a post in the development thread would be the best place to ask my question. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I'd try this (I'm tired so I'll forget actual details):
Make sure your play store is 320 size and 360 layout. Once that's done, restart phone, then delete cache and data for play store and play services, restart again.

Thanks for your reply, but it didn't work. Maybe we're missing a crucial step?
The weird thing about this is that the play store didn't act weird until recently (maybe within the past week). Before, at 220 dpi and 600 layout, I didn't have this problem with the apps mentioned above.
You were on the right track. I just had to reset the dpi for the play store in the hybrid settings. Thanks for the help.

Search for Multi DPI Play Store 4.1.6 and you will find what you need. That way it won't matter your DPI, of the apps are compatible they will be listed.

Thanks. I'll look into that.

I really need some help. I'm the developer of this app. My customer, and my self can not download one of my apps from Google Play. It's a UCCW skin. I have a couple other UCCW skins. All have the same code, the only real difference is the name, and the package name. This app that I can't get to work, after downloading it from Google Play, works if I side load the original apk. I side load it, it installs, and I can see the skins in the list of skins in UCCW. But if I download it from Google Play, it downloads, and installs, no errors, but I can't see the skins in the list of skins in UCCW. For testing purposes to see what the problem could be. I used the original files that I used to create the original apk, changed the package name slightly, added "TEST A" I then signed the files with the original keystore I used with the original app that's giving me trouble downloading from Google Play , created a new apk file, uploaded it to Google Play, as a entirely new app. Then took the same files again, changed the package name to "TEST B", signed it with a new keystore, created a new apk, uploaded it to Google Play as another entirely new app. Waited for both to show up in Google Play. Both worked after downloading from Google Play... So I'm sure the app works. So the problem has to be with Google Play.
Note: all my other apps download and work fine after downloading... Also, can't start a new app in Google Play, because I already have customer who paid for this app...
Any ideas what the problem could be? Any help would be appreciated

Hello,
I just ordered the Fire HD 6 and am super stoked to get it. I had a few questions if someone familiar with it could help, I'd greatly appreciate it.
1. Can I install a different launcher on the new OS or did they lock it down so you can't do that anymore? I'd love to put Nova on it just to make it feel more comfortable for me.
2. Can I install google music and allow it to stream from the cloud on the device? I've read some tutorials online, but they all seem to be older so I don't know if the new updated OS has blocked some of these.
3. Is it tough to side load apps as far as apps causing issues when doing so? I'd mainly be looking to side load Google Play Music, Chrome, and possibly a few other small apps.
Any help would greatly be appreciated. I've searched all over the web for a site that has a forum for this particular tablet, and this seems to be the only valid one I could find.
Thank you
I can answer a few. When installing a launcher, it allows you to but when choosing set as default it never really gets set as default. It just keeps showing the choose launcher pop-up each time you press home.
Google Music works but you cannot log into your google account with it and streaming does not seem to work.
Sideloading apps is just as easy as any Android but many apps that use Google services will crash. Surprisingly Chrome does work on the hd6! At least Chrome beta. Did not try regular Chrome.

Thank you for your help, exactly what I was wanting to know.
I sideloaded Tasker and was able to set Themer to open up on unlock. It helps with not being able to set it as default.
Themer also lets you set wallpapers and custom icons. It's kinda buggy, but it gets the job done. Have Power Toggles in the Notifications to make up with not having the menu.
