Hello! I made a boot animation for my phone and figured I'd adapt it to my tablet. I hate how all the other boot animations are complicated and/or ugly. This one is quite simple and easy on the eyes.
To install, drop bootanimation.zip into /data/local/ (not flashable) using ES File Explorer (make sure you give it root privileges). The Adobe Flash .fla files are in the "Source" link, if you have Flash CS6 and would like to play around with them.
Version 1.1 (1149K), Preview, Source, old version (1547K)
Version 1.1 differs from version 1 in that it is optimized with pngcrush to make the file size smaller. There is no other difference.
Version 2 (525K), Preview, Source
Version 2 is further optimized for size. The animation is more subtle and the resolution has been reduced (keeps the same size since most of it is black space). Note that the preview doesn't have all the black space in it so it'll be much smaller on your screen.
i like it. nice job :good:
So far this is my favorite bootanimation. Thanks, OP.
I love it. I will put it on every CM device!

Thank you, it's been a while since I worked on this so I just updated. You might want to grab the new version 1 or version 2. File size is reduced to make it load smoother the first time around.

V3 Boot Animation
New bootanimation, and no this isn't the stock one that comes with the new CM9 ROMs although it is based on it. The stock one has some serious pixelation with the black background but was higher quality after the "burst" effect. So I merged V2 and the stock together making an overall better quality bootanimation. Also the beginning of the boot animation is alot shorter in the stock. Another thing is that the stock bootanim felt quite slow so I sped that up a bit also.
OUTDATED

LQ Boot Animation
HQ Boot Animation because of the size and number of pictures, it won't be as smooth as LQ/V2
Reduced and Quicker Animation V2 Smoother, faster frame rate, Medium Quality
if animation speed of V2 is too fast click here to download V2s
Downloading now... Thanks!!
Downloaded LQ and installed... works great. Downloaded HQ, but have not installed. May try it later!
Thanks for the share!
Your welcome, I might release a newer version with lower size while still retaining quality later.

Nice!!! i saw this on youtube yesterday, and was trying to find a file for it somewhere, thank you!
New Boot Animation Version. Resized to QHD and compressed, check OP.
Original File from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22862145&postcount=46
Changes.
Well every 5th picture is removed, making file smaller.
Frame rate is increased to 60 making the animation faster.
Quality is between LQ and HQ versions and the only notable difference is that it's faster and a bit smoother. If you like the slower animation check the OP for slower version.
tried the high quality version and well it looks nice, its just not very smooth kinda laggy/jerky gonna try the reduced one.
thank you
Loving this animation. Was really getting tired of the nexus boot, thanx

Everytime I try to copy the bootanimation.zip file to the /system/media folder, it fails. Other ones work though. I cant figure it out
edit: nvm tried putting it in my /data/local folder and it worked... go figure never had to do that before
Kk the flash works for cm7 and cm9 and also any ex4 rom. Ex3 roms such as stock blur probably wont flash, though its really easy to change update script to ex3.
Anyway the bootanimation.zip should work on all. Did you check permissions? Also try using root explorer and make sure you have enough space in the /system partition (HQ might be too large try LQ)

I have the reduced and quicker installed on my phone. Even with faux's 1.45 kernel it always freezes for one second twice during boot, i've wiped everything and used it on every ics rom out. it doesn't really bother me, it still looks so sweet i don't care. Are people having better luck with a different one? Thanks so much either way.
I've never changed my boot animation before, and I was just wondering if by flash it you mean do as I would do to flash a new rom? Or is there a different process for boot animations?
Thanks in advance and thanks for the great boot animation, this looks so amazing!

The official cm9 bootanim has a bunch of frames so even with good compression and fast CPU its going to lag. Plus the phone is using most of its resources booting up so there's going to be a bit of lag.

The bootanimation.zip is located in system/media. Get the bootanimation.zip in the flash file, move to system/media, and set permissions if you want manually install. However its much simpler flashing.

Nice work guys! I'll post the bootanimations I've been porting once I've tested all of them (over 30 of em now). Glad to see I'm not the only one playing with graphics here
BTW I'm putting together a thread for all UI/theme mods over the next couple days so if either of you has anything you'd like to add let me know.

Edit: I will also do ADULT-themed splash images...PM me for information as I will not post them for all the young-uns to get to!

Hey Roland.
I would suggest going to my thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1719104 to see how to install a custom boot animation 3 simple and different ways, as that other thread seems pretty confusing, and one method demonstrated asks the user to download the Android SDK!

Hi yes it should be possible to install these boot animations onto your phone however they might not play totally full screen. A lot of them are set to a resolution of 1024x768 but you can repackage them and set them to fit the res of your phone. Use this tool to modify my animations to better suit your screen size. Unzip any of my animations and then follow the instructions for this app, it will zip them up again and you just need to set an appropriate res for your phone. Have fun:highfive:
[15.02.2012][TOOL]Boot Animation Creator-Make Android Boot Animations With Ease!
This is awesome...I'll definitely give this a go!
Hello Guys!
I have been working a lot fixing the bugs and the incorrect fonts of the boot animation of the Android BIOS I made.
I apologize for the inconvenience caused.
Many of you loved it though but due to incorrect font it many were disappointed.
Well I have made it a LOT better
Now you can enjoy two bootanimations mixed!
Thanks to @tj_droid for allowing me to port his watchdogs bootanimation into mine.
I have made it a lot better and great for you all
I have made many changes and most importantly fixed the FONT ISSUE!
NOW ENJOY the HD BIOS bootanimation
I have provided 7 screenshots of how the boot animation looks like. Many asked for original one not to be altered so didn't do much change in that but there is much more you can imagine Don't make me kill the suspence Check it out NOW!
Warning Before flashing this zip manually backup your stock bootanimation by going to root directory of your phone via root explorer then go to /system/media and there you will find your current bootanimation.zip file. Just copy it and save it someplace safe in case you want to go back to your stock animation.
I loved your boot animation. How do I install it?
Another great news is that from now on ALL OF MY BOOTANIMATIONS WILL BE FLASHABLE zip's
Just download the bootanimation from the link I provided and then boot into CWM or TWRP locate the file you downloaded and then flash it
Simple no
CHANGELOG V 2.0
Code:
Added new bootanimation screen
Fixed the FONT ERROR
Made the zip Flashable, now no need to do any crappy stuff's like downloading any software to install or locating bootanimation file manually and replacing it. ;)
Now the next thing I want to do is add sound in it But don't have any good sound clips matching this boot animation
If you have any ideas/file to share then please share a mp3 sound file of not more than 30-32 secs
Here is the download link : https://app.box.com/s/fchf9vkeoy4wg7u0q7b5
If you liked it then don't be shy from hitting thanks
EDIT : Please do leave a reply, your opinion it's must..!

Font fixed? Nope... Still wrong! Everything should be in the font "fixedsys"
The whole idea of the BIOS boot screen you based yourself on is to keep it as original as possible, without all the "bling bling" that you have added.
The original is nice to add a nostalgic touch to your phone. This one just looks amateuristic and non-coherent.
This is how it should look like...
Proper version is attached for those who like the original end 90's - early 2000 look.
You gotta learn dude. I don't copy the bootanimations.
Original 90's is my base if Ii could have wanted I could make this old crap to b in work.
My main aim is to keep the original as BASE and modify it to as better as I can!
Hope you understood.

Totally different from the original file. Not only dimension wise but the text aswell.
