Fiirefox OS port. - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hi
just wondering if anyone of you working on a firefox os port for the xperia p/u/go/sola. If not is there some tutorial regarding the porting process. Since im not sure if we would get a working cm10/10.1 or not, we may also have to look at other avenues options too.

Cm10 would be easier to build, since it's still android distro. Firefox will have to be built from scratch, it will be difficult, considering the novathor sources have not been released.

i dont know how cm10 will be built without novathor sources too. pity the devs

The dev are working on cm10 on nxt
It booted on Xperia go and u has jellybeam rom 4.1 jelly bean

They can use jellybean from galaxy s advance or mini s 3

but what i have come across is that most of them are encountering issues with audio and camera because of the lack of sources relating to novathor and no support from sony either.

Android 4.0 for Dell Streak 5?

Hi.
My question is that is there an Android 4.0 ICS ROM for the Dell Streak 5?
Or is there one which is beta, or that is in development?
Had you searched the forums you would have found the following answer to your question.
No ICS ROM is currently possible unless someone comes along who is capable of reverse engineering the drivers. Consequently there are no beta ICS ROMs either.
DJ_steave is doing it, he has for streak 7 already

Thus the word "currently" in my post. Any reason why you felt the need to resurrect dead threads?

Yes DJ and giveen got us ICS for the S7... but lately its pretty much giveen with some quick help from DJ and a few others. But DJ himself said that unless someone provides the ICS drivers for the Streak 5, he has zero intent on tackling the job so you may wanna get your facts straight

built using hPa's cm9 files (with minor changes required to make it woking with aosp source tree).
LOADS of bugs to solve:
* flipped screen (not going be hard, i will try to incorporate hPa's kernel patches to dsc kernel tree snapshot and build one to see if it will help)
* 3d hw acceleraton is not working (aosp sources lack hardware/qcom/display, so i'm trying to find overlay that will work for streak )
* VERY laggy and unresponsive touchscreen. it's virtually impossible to unlock at the moment due to that ideas how to fix this are welcome

I saw a working version's screenshot of hPa's CM9 at Korean forums.
The owner of the thread was hPa.
Did you try to get help from hPa?

[Q] CM10 for Xperia U?

Hello, sorry for maybe a stupid question but I cannot find info anywhere on CM10 development for Xperia U. Since it seems unlikely Sony is going to release any official JB ROM for this phone I am eager to get it.... thanks, and big thanks to all the developers who make this site what it is :good:

Sony as of now is not providing details about Xperia U and Sola Jelly bean updates....
the rest of their 2012 Xperia Phone will get Jelly Bean by June 2013..

Yes. This is not good. Sony very bad about software update. Xperia J will get jb for sure but don't know about u and sola. It should get jb because Xperia U and Sola are far better than Xperia J.

Thank you! Where do you/I find this information?
Yes I know Sony has not yet decided about Xperia U JB upgrade but IF they do it it will be "mid-quarter 2013", probably later, which already is almost a year since the release of JB.... cannot understand why it would take a full year for Sony to custumize their firmware....
I just read that somewhere
But currently freexperia's official site says CM9 for the u/go/sola is in progress. Regarding the official JB for the U/SOLA, Sony has mentioned that they are still actively testing the JB on sola/u.
source:
https://www.facebook.com/sonymobile/posts/10151217909303390
Its safe to assume that it will take atleast 6 months to get an official JB update from sony knowing their delays. By then we may have a stable CM10/AOKP JB or maybe even a CM11 LOL.

I personally prefer a clean or stock android rom to a rom thats loaded with bloat and other filth by OEMs
on the freexperia google project home you can monitor the progress of the different builds for cm9 and cm 10
can't use outside links in the post because of the 10 post requirement but just use Google and search for freexperia
current this is the latest progress
CHANGELOG

CM9.1
- latest cm 9.1
- first demo release (U,Sola,Go)
CM10.0 - M2
- latest cm 10.0
- HDMI (T, S, Acro S)

Yes I saw this, but I was looking for specific development for Xperia U... thanks anyway
would switch to cm9.1 as soon as they release it. fed up of sony's official release.
What's the word on hardware support? Would we get a fully working camera, FM radio, power management, etc?
I've been reading up on some of the current builds, and it seems not everything is working fine (then again there is an awful lot to read, so I may have missed something).

[Q] Problem with Jelly Vanilla 5.1

Hi, I'm new of the forum. I recently installed the Jelly Vanilla 5.1, but there are some bugs that I would like to subscribe to, and if possible, remedy: the LED for notifications does not work, there isn't the Bravia Engine 2, does not sync contacts with Facebook, and finally, I have a problem with the music player, infact you can not modify the information of a song and the throw does not work. Also the lock screen when the music player is running and the screen is lock, became dark (see photos).
Jelly Vanilla v5.1 is based on Extended CM10 and it's not a mature ROM. I intalled v5 a week ago but it was heavy and laggy so I went back to a more stable ICS ROM (now I'm using jjHybrid ROM). If you are in need of a ROM for daily use, I suggest that you must choose an ICS based one. By the way, Jelly Vanilla v5.1 supports Bravia Engine but not v2.
Thanks, but for me is the best and beautiful rom I've ever tried I hope in future updates

There is a fix for the lockscreen with music player(see photos)?
jelly vanilla v5.1 wifi not working
in my xperia mini (st15i) wifi is not working in the new jelly vanilla 5x dtz the only bug in this new rom
When you go to flash the kernel, then install the module for the wifi?
I also noticed that the phone will reboot a couple of times a day, and that often crashed and stops even if you have to open the address book. The music player is then incredibilmento slow to switch from one track to another.

sorry to piggy back here but this seemed current and active, i am actually looking for the exact same thing, but specifically for allshare cast to work with the dongle. recently sold my s3 but i would like to keep using the adapter to fling video to my tv, but the only samsung device i have currently is my p7510, i dont even remember what rom i have on it it's been so long since i rooted it, and the battery is dead currently, but i was under the impression that only jb touchwiz was compatible with the allshare cast .apk if iinstalled properly (and any rom with this built in would be super) first noob post here (finally) thanks everyone for all the advice over the years
