Every time I snooze my alarm, I get this notification nag as an ongoing notification, and there seems to be no way to make it go away without a reboot. Any body else have this or know how to make it stop or go away? Clicking on it does nothing-no app is opened and it doesn't dismiss. As it's ongoing, trying to swipe it away does nothing. It's dammed annoying too.

I have the same problem
I have the same problem. I have tried numerous things to make it go away but nothing works except a phone restart. I run a Samsung Galaxy S3 on Verizon stock rom and rooted, android 4.1.1.

Do you have location alarm turned on, by chance?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
No. Snooze on one, snooze and smart alarm on another.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
Try turning off the alarm section in the voice commands from S-Voice, if i remember correctly there are options to disable certain features, if not thats most definitely an S-Voice notification, i was getting that All of the time until i just disabled s-voice..
Damn didn't realize that option was there. Bet that takes care of it, thanks.

I highly recommend this awesome free app to all users. Basically what it does is that if you mute your ringer or press VOL- all the way. The "shush!" app triggers itself for you to set a time before the ringer is auto-restored.
Great layout and easy to control. I used to forget my mobile on silent in my pocket and miss important calls. But now with this gem I estimate how long I need the mobile to be silent and all done slick and easy.
The timer can be controlled using the VOL buttons or by touching the circle in rotation motion.

same here. one of the first free apps I re-download after a format.
Agreed, Shush is awesome! Have you tried Silent Time? Its another good one. You tell it what times you want the phone to be silent (work, school) and you dont have to remember to silence or restore, its done automatically. And you can set exceptions if there is someone you want to be able to get hold of you.

When I ask: WHAT IS 5 + 5
or any other WHAT IS question I get:
Say 'Hi Galaxy' to wake me up
I have went into settings and into applications manager, all, S Voice, Clear Data and NO LUCK
I have also Factory Data Reset the phone and still same Say 'Hi Galaxy' to wake me up
HELP!!
It was never meant to be a conversation app. It was meant to be good tasker. That's it.
If you want to do that, download Skyvie.
Nevermind mine does the same thing. I dunno what the deal is.

5 + 5 = 10 brruuuhhh
After saying 'Hi Galaxy' about 10 times I gave up and just hit the mic button.
From that moment on almost everything i said / tried to asked followed with "I didn't get that".
It does work well when you ask it to search the web tho..
When watching a film on my Galaxy S3 - using a file I copied from my desktop - the default Samsung video player displays the chapter number at the bottom of the screen like: Chapter 1
This isn't burned onto the video itself - watching the same video on my desktop show no such chapter display.
Is there a way of turning this off? There isn't an obvious option in the app itself.
Bump - no one else have this issue? I noticed a similar problem in the note 2 forum.
In case it's not clear what I mean, it looks like this:

Dude quit bumping...
This question has already been posted....
There's a setting in the video player itself if I remember correctly.
I searched for this before posting and couldn't find anything. I also sent ages searching through the options and also couldn't find anything.

Was bugging me too, and just figured out how to turn it off. Whilst playing the video in Video Player click the left soft button, go to Settings and the turn "Closed caption" off.

Logged in just to thank you!
I haven't been messing around with a HTC Device since 4.0.4 on the OneX and I wasn't sure if HTC ever added a Do Not Disturb/Blocking Mode to sense 4+ or this latest version of sense.
Does anybody who has a One (or can go play with one) know if there is such a mode?
Thanks!
Just bought mine yesterday. Prior Inspire 4G user. Now, the One has the ability to add numbers to a blocking list if that is what you mean.
If not, let me know and I'll keep looking.
I am sure what he means (and what I want to know too) is if it has a "Do not Disturb" option like the iPhone has. Where you can set it to ON and then tweak the settings. For example, I have my iPhone on Do Not Disturb and the settings are 11:30PM to 7 AM so no messages/calls/etc make no sound in that time frame. I played with the One a bit, but did not find such feature. I am sure a ROM does have it or there must be a way to get it. This being my first Android, I have not figured it out yet.
Oh, I know what you mean. Stock androids don't have that. But every ROM I flashed on my Inspire did. Of course it was rooted. I may root this one in a couple of weeks though.

I know aosp roms (Like CM10.1) have a feature called quiet hours. You might want to look into that.
Check out the app called seer in the play store. It's what I use. I used dnd on my lg Optimus G. I missed having it.
There's nothing built-in.
I'm using tasker for this. If I'm charging at night, I turn auto sync off to stop checking for notifications while still allowing calls.
it's built into htc sense 5.5

Unrooted, & unfortunately still bloated; the sound is so low even when turned up full that I can hardly hear the caller & have to frequently ask them to repeat themselves as if I were deaf. I don't even try music or books. PLEASE GIVE A GIRL SOME HELP!
Could be the area you're in, weak connection, on most calls I have the opposite happening. If you have NAB and have Wi-Fi try Wi-Fi calling and see if it clears it up...If it persists after that could be a hardware issue and you should take it in to Sprint.

i did try wifi calling for awhile, but that didn't seem to help and was only available whenever i was near a friendly wifi. i tried a booster from the playstore but that was totally ineffective. i guess from lack of response, i should assume the only recourse is to root this device. i just haven't had the time to study the information on how to and which roms, etc were available that appeal to me. i've had Galaxy S3 & 4 for so long the Note was a real switchover.
But thanks for your help.
Not sure which build you're on but you could try flashing one of the stock files and see if that does the trick.

No you can not, you need a custom recovery.
I have a mod, if you decide to root.
Volume boost:

You don't need a custom rom, just need root and my mod.
I would recommend fre3 rom though. It's very solid and my mod works perfectly with it.
