So I don't have any issues installing the nightly CM10 build for the Note2, and everything works great unless I am using my Bluetooth in the car (Radio that lets you make phone calls via mic and speakers). I can hear the person talking but they are very over modulated and there is a lot of static. They can hear me as well - not sure if they hear static. If I flash back to stock (TWRP restore) all is well and problem goes away.
I have tried the last few nightlies, all perform the same.
Any ideas?

Adjusting phone volume (on phone) doesn't make any difference.
Help?

Hi people.
I have found thread mentioned about these problems, but unfortunately, I have no permission to post in developer's forum, so I will post the problem here.
After installing the cm-10.1-20130513-NIGHTLY-p760, i had problem while setting sound volume at 80% - 100%, or if someone calls me while playing the music. Audio on phone completely freezes and cannot talk, nor cannot listen anything. Audio on phone completely stocks. I had to reset the phone to make audio working. This problem mentioned at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2190300&page=27 by VladimirCicanci and donACEsko. Solution was the mikegapinski' patch (found it at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2202222).
Another problem I have: cannot answer by pressing the button on headphones. When I am listening music and someone calls me, I hear the ringing tone in headphones, and on phone standard speaker also hear it. This is the strange behavior. Pressing the button on headphones does nothing. If I answer on the screen of phone, conversation is taking place correctly: phones and microphone are working. Also, I cannot end the call by pressing the button on the headphones - it doesn't working. Headphones are original, coming with the phone and working on P700 at another phone.
Can somebody help, I will appreciate it.
Thank you
Stick with RC2, the nightlies are buggy and full of problems (not always though)
it has already been mentioned: don't rant about problems in nightly builds
reset, flash the RC2 again and wait for a stable release, it's around the corner :silly:

No. Better install today's lastest nightly build when it's out. CM10.1 RC had no changes regarding our phone. Follow CM 10.1 thread.
I will wait some time and than install fresh nightly from zero.
I know this is a bit off topic but does anyone know if there are plans for CM to come to the P768? Or is it the problem of no source code for 768 JB?

I use voice chat on Skype a lot, but I also love the speed from 4.4.1 + crpalmer's kernel + bionic libs, however, there's one thing that's keeping me away from that speed, and that's voice chatting being broken on 4.4..Does anyone know a fix for this or know what kind of problem it is? Is it a 4.4 ROM problem or a kernel problem? Whether stock kernel or crpalmers, whenever I initiate a Skype call, it literally kills my ears, it makes this extremely loud screeching and static-y noise that never goes away unless I restart my phone...Anyone know what's up with this?

Have you tried last night's CM 11.0 nightly build? I specifically posted in that thread (which is where you should be looking to see if there is anything new) that I had pushed changes that *might* fix Skype problems and asking for feedback and yet I received 0 feedback.

Oh alright, I'll try it out right now, I'm booting into recovery, I'll get back to you with results in about 5 minutes.

Sorry for double post, I just wanted to make sure you saw it, but, Skype calling still makes that horrific static noise as before, thanks for trying to help anyway though.

What version did you install? (Specifically)
Are you using your phone as a phone, speaker phone, headset, bluetooth?

I'm using my headphones to test the Skype call audio, and I'm testing 20131211. I'll try speaker phone audio right now.
EDIT: I don't even hear anything when Skype calling through phone speaker, no call tone or anything.

That sounds like the behaviour prior to the changes I pushed. I just double checked an a wired headset is working fine for me.
What does your phone say in Settings >> About Phone >> CyanogenMod Version?
I was on JustArchi's and Moster2's Weekly 4 CM12, and suddenly I started having issues with sound.
I hear nothing in calls (and the other person can't hear me), and nothing when playing music or video via the build-in speaker.
However, ringtones play normally (through the built-in speaker), and when I use earphones, everything functions normally.
The final conundrum is that when I'm in calls, and use the built-in speaker, I can hear the other person and they can hear me.
I tried to flash Weekly 5, and the same occurred.
Currently I'm on Archidroid 3.1 (Experimental) as I hoped (in vain) that perhaps it will solve this issue.
When I flashed stock, I had no issues.
Not sure what the problem is, because it seems I'm the only person reporting this...
Any ideas/tips on how to debug this?
Thanks
I had same issue on DomPop but hey fixed it. It was due to a mic issue from sound software that was put in the rom.

Then how comes only I suffer from this issue? (or at least the only one who complains )

You did a full wipe (including system) before installing weekly 5? Did you use a special kernel?
Yep, no special settings.
Now, when I thing about it, it seems that the problem is that the phone thinks it has headphones connected, and this causes this strange behaviour.
I would blame the connector, but I didn't have any problems on stock.
Not sure how to check whether my suspicion is correct. Is there a way to check if the phone detects headphones or not?

When you connect a headphone, does it show the corresponding icon in the status bar?
Could it be that a bluetooth device is connected? Did you disable bluetooth and check if sound is back?
Bluetooth is always off, and I never had any indication in the status bar of headphones connected (even when everything worked). The only headphone icon is the Play Music icon, which is irrelevant.
So I was running greezepop ROM and whenbi get a phone or make a phone call they can't hear me but I can hear them. I flashed a new ROM and still the same issue. Is there a fix for this? I tried searching the thread but couldn't find anything. Any help would be awesome! Thanks in advance.

I tried the mic test and got nothing. Seems like the mic is broken.
This happens to me on both the stock ROM and Greezepop unless I disable noise suppression in call settings. For some reason, noise suppression only works properly sometimes. When it doesn't work properly, turning it off or switching to speaker phone works. No other apps seem to be affected.

I'll give that a try. If worse come to worse do you know of any links that show how to replace the microphone. I've searched high and low on here Google and on YouTube with no luck.
For some apparent reason, there's no sound playing out of my device. I can't listen to music, I can't even talk on the phone because I cannot hear the other person, unless, I put it on speaker...which is weird. Also, when I turn up the notification sound, that works. So when I get a notification, notification sound comes out of the speaker but when I play music it does not. Any help?
I did unlock my bootloader about a month ago. Flashed a custom ROM.
And yes I did do a hard reset.

As you are using CM ROM better ask the CM community and the CM dev in the CM thread in supplying logs, logs, logs as nobody else could help you.
