Why do you keep asking the same question?
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using xda premium
This guy.... Lazyyyyyyy
I keep asking cuz my problem is not solved my phone is not locked
Sent from my HTC Wildfire S A510e using xda app-developers app
Your phone is locked I told you gotta root it unlock it and sim unlock it mine was international version and locked also just man up and do what I told you before
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using xda premium
a simple unlock would fix this
Instead of heeding you choose to argue, the device is a carrier device, don't think the carrier will lock it? Seriously?
sent from a smooth place where my fingers trace across the screen to see your face and make you scream!
If it's that important you would listen and try what jonhart told you otherwise there are no other solutions as of now

Is unlocking the GSM radio for AT&T illegal?

I was talking with my friend the other day he is an AT&T regional manager and he said that unlocking my photons gem radio and buying service with AT&T was a federal crime. I do not believe it is but can someone give me some better info on if it is or is not?

Lots of people unlock their radio for AT&T, no one is in jail yet.
I think he just wants me to buy an ATT phone
Sent from my MB855 using xda premium
either he is woefully ignorant or he is lying to you. If he is lying to you, than he is not your friend.
Well he it was illegal because of ESN writing but unlocking the GSM radio does not write an ESN correct?
Sent from my MB855 using xda premium
1. unlocking GSM radio is not ESN writing
2. ESN cloning of another phone you own and have not activated is not illegal (i.e. you are not using 2 phones with the same ESN on a network)
3. ESN cloning of a phone you do not own for the intent of stealing signal is illegal.
Hmmm do GSM networks even use ESN's?

Patent Reform Petition

I don't know if any of you have seen this yet, but this is a huge petition with many thousands of signatures. Please sign this and share it with everyone.

Shifted from Outer Space
Without getting into the whole Apple vs Android thing, I think this petition highlights what the real problem is. The patent system does need reform in the software field.
I signed it (even though online petitions are usually worthless).

Sign The Petition for LG Official Updates

Hey guys, since 4.1.2 is pretty naff for most LG devices, I've set up, and am trying to launch a petition to get some action on some officialness for some of the flagship devices..
https://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/lg-release-official-android-updates-for-flagship-devices#
Sign and share, and post everywhere you can, add to your signatures, I think LG will learn to finally listen and compete with their rivals!
Even though I doubt it will do any good I signed. Keep fighting the good fight.

Don't mean to rain on anyone's parade but, having come from numerous boot loader unlock petitions for moto devices, I don't see this being very effective.
Corporations are less concerned with ongoing support than they are with new revenue. If there's profit in it, they'll do it. If there isn't, they won't. Period.
Why would they want you to keep a current device when they spend millions on whetting your appetite for the latest & greatest?
Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
LG has announced they will not be releasing another "flagship" device and will instead focus on the TV market.
You should set up a petition to stop Monsanto, Corporate greed, poverty, hunger, but software updates?
Not signing... I don't believe in the usefulness of online petitions.
This... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47680103&postcount=88
That article says the lg g2 "is sure to get" an update. That's far from official.

Lol. I remember the petition to get an official WP7 update for the HD2. That made all the difference.
How can anyone possibly expect a manufacturer to continue developing for a device with no revenue stream? Unless you're paying for the software update or are paying a subscription...
Having said that I do fully expect LG will update the G2 to 4.4
Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk
I use asop and have 4.4 already, LG no Good in updates.
Sent from my LG-G2 using xda app-developers app
I'll sign, off course, but we're talking bout LG, there is not supposed to be nay updates at all. And if there is, they'll come approx a year after the closest competition.
Just.my rant...

I'm already running kit Kat on my phone. Pure Aosp baby.
Sent from my LG-G2 using xda app-developers app
The moto x just got kitkat 4.4 wow. Since Google purchased Moto, they've been improving all around. Hopefully this is a wakeup call towards LG, Samsung's, HTC & Sony to give promptly updates. Which I'm sure won't happen though. For them, it's all about profits. Updates are not on their top priority list...
