I'm hoping you guys can help. Been a long time lurker here and am going to be buying my Note 2 at the end of the month. But my wife purchased one the day after Christmas, and since the new ota update in January, her N2 has been freezing a lot. Sometimes you can get it to turn back on, but than it freezes and reboots on its own. Most of the time she has to do a battery pull to get it to come back on. It happens about 5 times a day.
Verizon had her factory reset it, but it still has the persistent problem. Best Buy took a look at it and they couldn't figure it out. She is hoping we can figure it out before we have to send it back in, which would suck because she would be without a phone that she needs for work for a week. Not to mention Best Buy and Verizon stated that if it does need to be replaced, that it would be with a refurbished one. Which I am not at all too happy about that. Hoping you guys can help me out.

I'm thinking it's an app she has installed most likely also power saving modes not on is it? Tell her to root it and all her troubles will go away

I tried to get her to root, but this is her first android device, she's had nothing but the Iphones prior and is nervous about doing stuff like that. It started after the last ota update, and the only recent app she downloaded was Unblock Me. Since then all this has been happening, and we already uninstalled Unblock Me suspecting that was the culprit. I have it on my phone with no problems.
yes, she does have power saving mode on

turn it off and see if it helps. that strange behavior is most likely caused by an app. Can you screen shot or list what apps she has on her phone?
Yeah I'm thinking it's power saving mode turn it off see if she can make it through a day without it freezing. You don't need power saving on a note 2 battery life is great without it unless your wife is like most females and always forgets to charge her phones
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
Here's the list of apps she has downloaded. She hasn't downloaded anything recently except for that Unblock Me and the ota update. She said since yesterday Verizon had her factory reset the phone. She reinstalled all her apps, and it still kept freezing. When in froze this afternoon and it shut down(didn't reboot), she took it strait to Best Buy to have them look at it.
The guy fiddled with it, and it was freezing and rebooting on him as he was messing with settings. He told her it probably needed to be sent in. She doesn't want a refurbished phone if they replace this one, so we are trying to figure it out. But since that visit, the phone has not froze on her. Weird.
Should we uninstall all the apps and install one by one each day to see which may be causing it?
Did you turn power saving off and it still freezing?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
when I checked it, it was already off. I know she had it on, but don't know if the BB guy turned it off or if it was turned off by the factory reset.
If it's still freezing with power save off then I would factory reset it then install the apps that she must have for day to day use. Then give it a day and install the other apps she wants.

This. Factory reset is your last option other than rooting (and flashing a custom OS) or sending it in.

I totally agree. :good:
Phones normally only freeze when the ram runs out. Is there any app misbehaving and sucking up all the ram?
I had some what i thought were random reboots the first few months with my N2. These I discovered were caused by carry the N2 in my back pocket of my jeans! Every time I bent down to pick something up or to tie my laces it would reboot!! I would just hear the start up noise comming from my pocket. Make sure she doesn't put it in her skinny-jeans back pocket.
Thanks for the suggestions guys! It froze again this morning, so we are going to factory reset and install apps one by one each day to see who the culprit is. Hopefully its an app doing this.
I have been experiencing EXACTLY that and hqve tried most of the remedies. However this only seems to happen at work which makes it somewhat difficult to actuwlly sot down and diagnose the problem.

I have been reading about this issue from a lot of people with the s3 & note 2 on forums. I honestly think Samsung/Verizon sent out a bad OTA due to rushing to close the security loopholes. I refused the ota and found a way to permanently defer the update and have not experienced any reboots or freezing.
From my previous/recent experience Verizon will absolutely not help you at all, they are worthless 99% of the time. All they are able to do is tell you to factory reset it(if they know how) and have no actual clue how to fix the devices. They will even 'call' the software support for you but will still tell you to either factory reset or do a return. I am disgruntled after they destroyed 3 phones (Droid Incredible) in my family after pushing out horribly bugged OTAs that left the devices useless. I confronted them and they flat out refused to take ownership of their own software that they pushed out. I still feel like they should be sued over what happened.
Good Luck!

Yeah leave it to VZW to fix one thing and introduce a worst bug. I had a Motorola bionic that kept losing signal every 20 minutes or so then version sent out an update damn phone would drop signal every 30 seconds or not even connect to data. Basically rendering the phone useless. Worst part was Motorola had the bootloader locked down so tight there was no good development. At least we have good development for our note 2

Users should legitimately have a lawsuit case against Verizon. They are essentially forcing you to purchase a new device because of something they did. When I confronted them they straight up told me to buy a new device. Devices should work indefinitely theoretically and they are causing irreparable damage.
My note 2 was having major battery drain issues so I got my self back to pure stock like day 1 and I went ahead and updated with the ota so I will see if the random freezing / reboots pick up or not. I already noticed a keyboard bug where it pulls up a numerical only keyboard and wont allow me to type letters unless I reboot.
Did anyone solve this? I'm in the UK and very recently got my ota update. Since then I've been getting multiple daily resets and freezes. Can't say whether it's due to the ota update or some software I've been using, but the crashes are certainly pretty new and very annoying.

Anyone know how to reflash to 4.1.1

Just trying to build some statistics as to how common this turning off problem is.
--------------------
PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE ANSWERING:
1) Obviously this is regarding the phone turning off on its own when its not due an empty battery.
2) Only answer with "no" if you've been using the phone for at least a week. If you've been using it for less and it hasnt turned off, answer with "No - but had it for less than a week".
--------------------
I just want to know before I send my phone to Amazon for replacement.
I've had it 8 days, so I clicked the 2nd "no". If I saw any hardware fault in a new device I'd immediately get onto the supplier for a replacement. Unless there's software at fault here (unlikely, but obviously possible) then I can't see the problem simply going away.
Hope you get it sorted mate.
Nope. Had the phone since may 6.

Had this problem last year with my new Desire, but returned it to HTC and they replaced the mobo without any problems.
Yep had it nearly 4 weeks and its went twice. Not in the last week or so though.

Everyone runs different apps and settings on their phones. Unless there's a specific hardware problem there's going be tons of variables to consider for those having reboot issues. I've had mine for six weeks and its never done anything wonky.
I returned my 1st one as it turned off a few times a day. Replacement has been fine.

Does reboot count as a yes?
I clicked yes but I am not 100% sure if this happened to me or not. Allow me to explain...
I was carrying it in my hand walking and I happened to look at the screen and it was showing the Samsung GT-i9100 splash screen seemingly for no apparent reason. When it went away it just went right back to where it was (no media card reading or anything).
It was strange to say the least but I have not seen it happen again since then and that was about a week ago and I have had the device for approx. 3 weeks now.
Does this sound like the same issue?

Oh sorry i forgot to mention this. No, reboots don't count as they're probably a software problem which can be fixed maybe with a new ROM or update or wtvr (i'm probably going to install another ROM eventually). And i'm not sure how a replacement will help with that, since I already have the KE7 firmware installed.
Just complete turn offs, cuz it might be a hardware problem, which can be solved by a replacement.
Thanks for the responses guys. Keep it up
Hmm, well i'm not really sure of anything, but that looks like a reboot to me. It might be that it turned off and you accidentally held the power button and turned it on, but since there was no card reading or anything, i think it's the "fast reboot" problem i've seen some people with on the forums. I hope it doesn't happen again
Had the Photon for 29 days, installed the Maintenance Release 5 and continued to have the no audio on calls and random reboot issues. Based on the actions of the phone the last few days that I had it I came to a few conclusions.
When the no audio happened if I hit the mute button the audio would be there and I could hear the call just fine. I noticed that after a no audio call if I attempted to go into call history and click the person who just called and attempted to call the phone would always reboot. This lead me to conclude ( and I would appreciate it if someone who post some thoughts ) that no audio indicates the software has encountered problems and is no longer stable. The actions of the buttons are reversed and the system is on the verge of crashing. Any further action after the call will result in a system reboot. This leads me to believe the OS is prone to not being stable for whatever reason. Why this occurs is unknown.
I noticed that when the phone was flat on my desk, sometimes hooked up to power source, sometimes not, the phone would reboot on it's own. This indicated that even without user intervention the phone OS would become unstable, crash and reboot. What causes this is unknown.
I have since returned the phone to Sprint for a full refund with no restocking fee ( I suspect their technician was able to duplicate the no audio).
While the phone was fast, had a lot of storage space, great reception and great clarity the unstable OS caused me to return it.
Sounds like a hardware problem. I have yet to have a reboot and after the update, I have yet to get a muted call.

There are two problems at hand here, user error and malfunctioning hardware. You should know full well that if you are having issues such as rebooting upon laying the phone down with a charger that something isn't soldered properly in the phone. Swapping it would alleviate this issue. With the final build (CM5) being available in SBF form, along with two very stable and powerful roms, very few people are having any issues of updated properly. It's unfortunate to see another user put this phone down instead of working through the issues, but I guess android isn't for everyone.

User error? Really? Note I said I had the CM5 installed and still had the no audio issues. And since when does having the action of the mute button on a call being reversed happen as a result of something not being soldered properly? Note that the reboot happened when the phone was on the charger and when it was not. When it was laying flat and when I was holding it upright and looking through the contact list. I like Android just fine. Had an Evo for a year but upgraded because it lacked internal storage space. I plan on going to the Galaxy SII in a few weeks and last I read that's an Android phone.

What he means is that you didn't even bother to have sprint replace this phone for you. You settled, thinking it was a software problem. Which any user here would most likely come to the conclusion after reading your post that it wasn't. Random reboots like that would have sent me back directly to the sprint store demanding another phone. Companies make bad batches, and stores get those bad batches. The fact is you just settled for a phone that was working sub par. I have gone through 3 phones, all with different problems, but I don't settle. They give you that 30 days for a reason.
Would you do the same thing had you went to best buy and bought a computer from them that did the same thing? Random reboots, no sound, etc etc....
Mine as well as most others phones on here work perfect, maybe the random force close from an app or something, but I don't get any muted calls, random reboots, and if I did you better bet I wouldn't settle for it.
Good luck to you in Samsung land.

funny...Ive had no problems before or after the ota...the phone is stable as a rock...call quality is outstanding, no dropped calls like my old EVO..but im not sure the issues is random hardware problems per phone
This is killing me as I real think the photon hardware wise is one the all around best out...
Moto need to get off over their attuned about software... officially unlock the dam phone release the dam Kernel asap and let great independent software talent write and fix bugs for great hardware and so so code
Just do not think Moto puts the time in on thier code that then need too...
The only problem I've had with this phone was no audio a few times. After updating to 45.2.5, that problem has now been resolved. Photon is running like a champ.

I did get a replacement phone and I experienced the same symptoms on both of them.
I do have information that confirms that Motorola was aware of the reboots and that MR5 was supposed to fix this. I did have MR5 on here.
I had an atrix before having this and put Alien Build 4. I was floored by the battery life and the ROM and device was rock solid.
I have a brick at the moment. This became a brick after rebooting loop similar to not wiping the davlik cache before a boot. It was stock. I was going to unlock and root to see if it helped the battery life.
I had been more excited about this phone than almost any other one. I have been a beta tester of Motorola devices, but I believe this one may have been pushed out the door a little too early.
I am glad people have this working well and I am glad for them. I will still love this phone even though I have experienced issues. It easily could have been a bad batch that is triggered by certain circumstances.
After the update - my silent call issue was 100% fixed. Maybe you need to a do a factory reset? I do that after all major OS updates.

I never had anything I couldn't recover from ODIN even a partial flash(or even if it reset before it could finish flashing). I rooted both Epic 4G and Droid Charge with Odin. Just flashed a couple of Samsung Moments last week but they didn't require ODIN.
My phone will boot sometimes so it won't even stay booted. Doesn't matter what I do to it.
Djspinister - It will boot but not stay booted, it just reboots. I haven't ever had a bad flash that I couldn't recover from. I have flashed Windows Mobile devices, iOS devices that were eventually jailbroken. I have flashed several times right before going out to eat dinner only to have it fully recovered before the food came out. This just has to be a bad phone. It is a brick phone.

After reading on numerous other sites of people on their 3rd or 4th Photon and still suffering from the same problem I decided not to bother. As for Samsung, before the Evo I had two Samsung products that were absolute rocks for me. Solid with no issues and performed well. Using a Samsung Instinct right now.
My Photon is 100% trouble free. Calls are clear, battery lasts, etc.
Te only real issue is that I do not love the bluish tint on the LCD. Anyone know how to alter the gamma?

I upgraded from an EVO on Friday. My new Photon began crashing and doing the no audio on Saturday. I exchanged it at the Sprint store later that day and have had no issues with the second Photon. I really like the Photon much better than the EVO.
Has no one else been told in the Sprint store that you can only exchange once and then you're stuck with the device???? They told me they only allow future exchanges through warranty (i.e., Motorola will ship me a new one...no in-store exchanges).
Is this just wrong information?

Has anyone else been experiencing random reboots lately? Mine seems to be intermittent, i used my phone for three hours straight two days ago and everything was fine. The damn thing just rebooted on me three times in the span of about an hour, two were within ten minutes of each other. I got pissed and wiped everything, then reinstalled CleanROM DE with only the apps I use frequently and everything has been fine so far, haven't had one yet. Maybe it was a buggy app or something else because during this time my extended battery said it was at 80% then after one of the reboots it said 17% and I was like wtf? After the clean install it said 66%!

Are you s-off ? if not make sure you are flashing the boot.img after installing the ROM. Or if you are on GB firmware your installing the firmware patch if installing an ics ROM.

Yea I have, it's nothing that simple sadly. At first I thought it was a buggy app so I wiped /data and only installed a few apps I use constantly, but it still happened. So I did a fresh install of the current rom I was on and didn't install any apps or restore any data, but it still did it. I just flashed another rom without restoring anything to see if it still happened and it did. I had an idea that it may be the latest radio image that caused it so I flashed to the one before the latest leak, but it still does it.
I'm currently in the process of flashing the original GB RUU to see if it still does it. If it does then I know it's definitely a hardware problem. If you couldn't already tell yes I am S-Off
So the RUU didn't fix it but it did lessen the reboots. Now when I wake the phone up while running Gingerbread the data connection will take a minute or two to connect and will drop out sometimes while the screen is on.
It rebooted on me last night. Also during the night it did a factory reset (or I did it in my sleep!) because when I woke up the phone was at the "choose your language" screen and after I left that all my downloaded apps were gone.
I also just got the OTA adr6425lvw_2.01.605.11-1.02.605.6 but it won't stick.
WTF is going on here? Do you guys think I need to do an insurance claim?

I'm giving it a try now and I'll see what happens, thanks.

Edit: In the past 8 hours I haven't had any random reboots or radio problems (yet), but the battery stats still seem to be wacky (another symptom I forgot to mention). I had the phone off because the battery was dead and I was charging it at my cousin's house. When I left I turned the phone on and in a span of about ten minutes it first reported a reading of 40%, I opened an app for a few minutes and when I looked at it again it was down to 20%, a minute later it was down to 9%. I decided to shut it off for a few minutes, took the battery out and put it back in, then after I booted up it showed 55%! I also had my extended battery with me at the time which I thought was full but when I put it in, my Rezound just went to the white HTC screen and after a battery pull it wouldn't turn back on so I figured it was dead. I just put it back in now and tried to charge it, it's actually at 94%!
I'm currently on GB Firmware, running CleanROM DE v1.4. Before yesterday (?) I have been on ICS Firmware since the initial leak of ICS IIRC.
It just started this crap again about 4 days ago, I was getting one per day on ICS. I ran the original GB RUU four times (twice, tested it out for a few minutes and noticed that data kept dropping out, then ran it again twice) and it still does it.
Before I ran the RUU I was on ConROM when it started so I flashed Nils latest work, when it started to happen again I flashed the kernel in TWRP, when that didn't work I flashed it directly via HBOOT (extracted the PH98IMG from the zip), which still didn't fix it.
I'm beginning to think that I did damage the radios during the S-Off process since I was one of the people that had been trying to run the exploit since v0.01, also during the later tries I realized that I was shorting out the wrong pins at one point After I switched to the correct pins and used v0.02 or v0.03 it works and I had S-Off.
I'm about to go back to S-On and see if it still happens.....
Just came back from Verizon and they're going to replace it for free since it's covered under the MFG warranty since the phone is only 8 months old.
I love how clueless their employees are: I told a guy that my phone was rebooting constantly and that that it keeps losing its connection to 4G (then demonstrated that it had lost it's connection even though mobile data was turned on and when I cycled it it would re-connect), he was about to mention a factory reset but I said I had done about 20 factory resets (didn't mention RUUs or anything) before he even got the words out, so he passed me off to their "tech guy".
Here's the real kicker...
I told him that the data radio keeps shutting off and it reboots constantly. His response was "the what?!" I told him 4G/the internet connection and that I've done numerous factory resets and he then said "we'll ship you a new one."
This is about the 5th time and 3rd different store where Verizon's employees have no idea what the hell I'm talking about. Half the time it isn't even tech related, I've schooled them on their own products and promotions multiple times (namely the 2 month return policy before christmas and the half-off extended battery deal [2 out of 3 employees in the same store didn't know that one])! It's pretty damn sad when a customer who reads Android blogs knows more about the promotions than an official Verizon employee....

Afaik all android phones do this. Buy an iPhone
Thanks for the helpful response! Ass... I had the original Droid for a year and the incredible for about six months, neither of which did this once. I've also had the Rezound since launch day, I could could the number of times it did this before a month ago on one hand!
Unless you have something useful to contribute STFU.

If a phone randomly reboots in your pocket, or while you're sleeping... Would you know? I had 7 origional droids, 5 bionics, a rezound, a gnex, and a galaxy tab. I have yet to own an android device that doesn't randomly reboot. I have had devices up tor 11 days without it happening, but inevitability, it happened. I think its related to ram. I never really looked into, but its just a hunch. From what I see on my rezound it is just the shell rebooting and not the device. You are just too much of a fanboy to see that due to many factors, especially fragmentation, that android is super clunky. It is also generally bugged. I am typing this on my bugged sense keyboard, from my bugged WebKit browser. What made android good was open source. It isn't like that anymore.
My stock, never-rooted GT-I9300 (4.1.2, I9300BWELK1, JZO54K.I9300XXEMC2) is plagued by boot loop problems. It first started about 3 months ago, where the blue charge LED would suddenly come on and the phone would not wake from sleep. I pulled the battery, then when it was turned on it showed the initial S III logo, then the O2 logo followed by the glowing Samsung logo. Then repeated from the O2 logo endlessly. I pulled the battery again, then the next morning restarted it without the SIM or SD card in, and it had done a partial factory reset - i.e. lots of phone contacts were there with the texts, but all the settings had reverted to default. Later that day while on charge the same thing happened again, and I sent it away to O2 for repair.
When it returned, the same thing happened 6 weeks later although this time it was on when it froze and went straight to the O2/blue LED stage. Another repair (I'm fairly sure these 'repairs' were just factory resets...), and 6 weeks later exactly the same. Back to the O2 shop for another repair.
This time they replaced the 'main board' and when it came back it had a different Wi-Fi MAC address. This time only 6 days elapsed before the same fault arose again, and finally I was eligible for a replacement handset. This lasted 2 days before a boot loop condition occurred again! This time, being sure it couldn't be a hardware fault I tried my own /data and /cache wipe, which worked. I skipped all but the must-have apps, and I thought this was going to be stable but once more this past weekend the boot loop happened again (I've got my restoration procedure down to about 15 minutes thanks to the practice!)
I don't know what could be causing this and I'm fed up with resetting my phone. Are all S IIIs this unstable? I've never had a phone that required a factory reset within 18 months! When it is in the boot loop, I can access recovery and download modes, but safe-mode start-up has no effect.
The last remaining candidates I can think of are a problem with my SIM card, or a defect with my SD card... or an app. Can anyone suggest the best way to troubleshoot this? I'd really really rather not have to skip importing my settings as I have among other things many SSIDs I don't easily have access to re-create.

Yes, 4.1.2. I don't recall this behaviour before I got the OTA update from 4.1.1 though

No, not all S3 owners experience this, a factory reset solves most of these issues however, if it doesn't, a trip to the Samsung service center will help.
I'd say it's probably a dodgy app, or some kind of unstable firmware update for your region/carrier, since hardware replacements didn't help with it.

Hmm. Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure I know anyone else with and S III on O2-UK but it seems to be news to O2, so I assumed it must be fairly rare.
I'm not sure about dodgy apps; testing them one app at a time isn't really feasible as it can take up to 6 or 7 weeks to fail judging by past performance. Are there any logs or similar that I can pull out somehow in the event of a boot loop? I've seen about logcats but I am not sure if this would be of use

Everything to carries is "news".
I can't help with logs and whatnot, so I'll leave that to someone else.
You can always flash and downgrade to the older firmware that didn't give you a problem, if the problem persists, it is indeed an app.
Even when rooted, informative logs are nigh on impossible to get

Thanks again for the replies. I'm not wild about downgrading. I liked the improvements! Is it possible to downgrade in a carrier supported way? Retaining warranty compliant has been rather useful in the past few months!

Well late Friday night it did it again. Not sure when exactly as I was asleep. Woke up in the middle of the night and went to check the time, Looked at my phone to find the blue LED on when it should have been red for charging or green for fully charged, and it was very hot - wouldn't turn on either. Pulled the battery but it kust went into the loop. I was away from home so I couldn't do any troubleshooting and had no choice but to wipe.
This time I didn't restore settings and the only apps I installed were SMS Backup & Restore and Puzzle Alarm (I know this isn't the culprit as I only started using it this week!). Gone are all my precious wifi SSIDs but otherwise I'm not sure I've noticed the difference.
So I'm now not connected to my work wifi, nor have I set up my work email or Lync - two of the things I use my phone for must after Facebook which I've also not reinstalled. Facebook mobile web is really hard to use by comparison.
By chance I popped into the O2 shop later that day and had the fortune to bump into a Samsung rep who had never heard of this and agreed that I was unfortunate to have these problems (how touching!) and suggested I speak directly to Samsung support rather than O2 which I will do this week. I will also contact O2 about a replacement SIM and look into replacing the SD too.
This is really silly. I'm not keen on downgrading the software because the first thing either Samsung or O2 will do is upgrade it again. Frankly at this point I'm fed up with the whole thing but I've got a year left on the contract and even a pretty much new handset like mine won't fetch enough.
Got the Sprint Note 3 on launch day. Great phone. However, last night, I kept getting a message that said "Samsung WatchOn Has Stopped". I didn't remember turning it on, and I got this message several times. I have also had trouble getting stuff to download from the play store, but last night it finally started downloading fine. I am staying at a hotel(traveling for work), so their WiFi could be the issue there. I kept getting error 500. And I could always try removing and re adding my Google account. Last, but not least, my power button is ever so slightly crooked(power, not home). The side towards the bottom of the phone sits slightly lower than the side towards the top. Anyway, this is my first Samsung, I've always had HTC, so maybe the phone it's just built this way. Sorry to sound retentive, but the phone wasn't cheap, and I usually keep my phone's for 2+ years, do if there are any issues that warrant a return, I want to return it while I can still get a NEW replacement. Has anyone else experienced any of this? It's any of this a big deal? Is there something I'm doing wrong? Or am I being a worry way for no reason?
I too just left HTC for this phone. Taking some getting use to. If you feel that uncomfortable I would take it back...

Well I have another week to return it. I will feel it out some more, just to be sure these aren't user errors. As for the button, I dunno what to think, but it is barely noticeable, and doesn't impact functionality at all. So, maybe I am making too much of it. Just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced these issues. I may or may not take it back to exchange it for a new one, time will tell. I had to exchange my first EVO 3D after two weeks due to constant force closes, but the second one worked like a charm for the next 2+ years.
If you have any questions about the reliability of your Device return it ASAP. You only have 14 days to exchange from ORIGINAL purchase date and it might take a few days to figure out if your replacement is also a lemon but by then 14 will have passed and you'll be relying on the carrier to fix.

I'd return it but I am probably the most anal and ocd person youll ever meet when it comes to electronics lol. I sit here looking for issues rather than enjoying it. I hate it but that's how I am.

Funny you mentioned the EVO 3D, I was just thinking, had that phone came with LTE instead of Wimax I would still be using it...I loved that one more than any of the many others I have had...
The top of the phone is slightly thicker on the back due to the camera, but if you mean with the screen laying flat that could be an actual issue. As far as the play store, I know there was some issue with it a couple days ago but try clearing the cache for the play store app and if all else fails a factory reset to see if the problem persists. I came from the HTC One and I'm loving this phone, but definitely take it back if there are recurring issues.

I mean it it's uneven when looming at the BACK of the phone. When looking at the side of the phone(the top of the button), it is perfectly straight. When looking at the BACK off the phone, you can see that the button sits slightly lower on the bottom than the top. And I do mean slightly. It also presses a little more easily on the bottom, with less pressure. It doesn't feel loose or anything, and every display I have played with has had a different feel to its buttons. Some more like mine than others. I think it's because the power button Has a single point of contact, unlike the volume buttons, so most of them seem looser on one side or another...?
Got another "unfortunately, Samsung WatchOn has stopped" message this morning. Again, I didn't start this app. Probably gonna take this back for exchange.

You could always try going into Application Manager and clear data/cache and see if that helps, if you are rooted install Greenify and hibernate it..

Did that yesterday, but have gotten the message once more since. Didn't install greenify though.
Got the phone yesterday and saw the same Watchon problem. Haven't used it yet, just setting it up. The Google Play error 500 is on Google's end but it's fixed now. The home button has some play. The rear cover can be easily removed without damaging the camera cover. So far so good, not enough annoyance to warrant a return yet/

Hello, I'm having wi fi issues with the note 3, could anyone direct me to an xda discussion for this problem? Thanks
Backed up my pics in Dropbox and factory reset after talking to.Samsung. They claim to be unaware of any issues. Well keep an eye on it, and return it to Best Buy if issues persist.
No problems since the reset.
